Both are examples of popular British series with Wallace and Gromit often being considered the pinnacle of its animation style (claymation), its more likely they love it rather than hate it. I mean, who could possibly hate wallace and gromit?

I have this weird theory that the picnic scene, Duck dying because he “forgot to drink water” and Duck being a dog in Yellow Guy’s neighborhood dream sequence are all connected somehow
There’s also the fact that they keep debating which is the man or the dog, and debating whether Duck is the dad (with “the pet” being the other possible family member Duck brings up)
Maybe none of this means anything and I’m overthinking it but it feels so almost-connected

Inside the picnic basket then was chicken (dead birds) and duck died from not drinking water (gum disease reminds me of the grey gums in DHMIS food also)

Fun fact: every time Grolton and Hovris appear, what they're doing relates to what the main trio are doing; in Death, Grolton's mother dies. In Family, Grolton is waiting for his brother to come visit. In Transportation, Grolton and Hovris are outside their home just like the main trio.
I love when he says “You should have bought your OWN water”, his eyes bulge. I wonder if the voice actor knew they were going to do that or the animators just had fun with it. Either way it’s perfect.

Interesting theory: Yellow guy is actually right about Grolton being the dog; leaving aside the wording, he's essentially stating that Grolton isn't in control of his household, and that Hovris is. However, due to his stupidity, he lacks the proper wording to express this. What do you think?
It has to mean something deeper than just a gag, since yellow guy appears to have a decent memory too…for the most part

its probably obvious but I think those characters are in a similar situation to the main cast. Being stuck in a show. Similar to how the main three have "computer day" they have a day for brothers visit but Grolton gets upset when it's not that day

This might just be me, but I think that the characters being confused as to which one is the dog, Grolton or Hovris, is a nod to Wallace and Gromit, because I don’t know about you guys, but I got them mixed up when I was younger.
How can you have got them mixed up? Wallace is a person's name and a grommet is an object, so obviously he named his dog after the object.

With that last clip, I realize now that grolton and hovris is a metaphor for the show, and when yellow says grolton is the dog, he means that they three are the pets, the puppets of a higher being.

I really want to see a full Grolton and Hovris show, it’s so vapid to the point that it’s entertaining.
At 0:46, notice on the milk carton the guys are on it, referencing the missing child on the milk carton thing. May be trying to tell us in the real world they’re missing, which is why they can’t remember their families in that episode, which is particularly interesting in Red Guy’s section. They literally don’t recognize as him as part of the family because he’s been gone for god knows how long.
