    American here from Southern California. The "controversy" over this performance was from a very small but vocal group looking for clout. The majority of people thought this performance was one of the best Super Bowl halftime performance, up with Prince and Michael Jackson. As someone who's older, I grew up on this stuff and there were a bunch of references that only LA people understood. I can tell you a bunch of Black, White, Asian, and Latinos enjoyed this performance. It was amazing.

    It was a tribute to Dr Dre so all of the artists were connected to Dre. America loves football, black, white, whatever...actually, like 70% of players are black. Sadly, the white man controls a lot even though the players are mostly black. It needs to change honestly. That said, i loved this show. Everyone loves these records :)

    • @BamaScorpio69
      @BamaScorpio69 2 года назад +3

      Let me add this, Jay Z/RocNation with a deal with the NFL took over the Super Bowl Halftime show three years ago.
      Jay asked Dre to do the show because the game was in Los Angeles where Dre is from. Dre and Snoop is musical royalty in L.A. so it only made sense they perform the show.

    Snoop was told they didn't want gang affiliation so he wasn't allowed to have a bandana in his pocket so instead he just had a full outfit made of it as well as clip walking and pulled gang signs.
    He was also caught smoking too after being told it was banned.
    Dre was told not to say "still not loving police" but he did
    Eminem was told he wasn't allowed to take a knee but he did (which I think is cool coz he's the only white artist)
    And I'm sure alot more rules were broken but who cares haha

    As a Native American we need to stop ✋️ saying white or black, we care the same, love the same, respect the same, bleed the same color. Natives love all with no color but love all. 💗

    • @anyaw340
      @anyaw340 2 года назад +1

      Unfortunately, that ship has sailed. Europeans created the concept of race when they enslaved black people. Race as we know it today did not exist until Europeans decided they would separate people based on skin color, and designated Africans as the most inferior race so that everyone would be okay with their enslavement. That's baked in now. There will never again be a world in which race doesn't exist. All we can do now is not erase race, but fight for equal rights and equal treatment. What we need to do is RESPECT other races and cultures - not pretend that they don't exist.

    • @anyaw340
      @anyaw340 2 года назад +1

      And I would also point out that Native Americans have not been above racism. Not only did many of them also enslave blacks, but many Native Americans have continued to refuse and revoke the tribal citizenship of blacks whose ancestors were enslaved by those tribes, and who have been identifying as members of those tribes after being with and contributing to those tribes for hundreds of years. Imagine how it feels to have your cultural heritage and history ripped away and questioned, when it's all you've known. Many of these black people also have actual Native American DNA. Yet, you don't see these tribes doing the same thing to white "$5 Indians". These are people who are VERY clearly WHITE, yet their tribal citizenship is not challenged by Native Americans.
      Now, I personally don't think anyone should want to be part of something that isn't welcoming to them, but I felt the need to point this out since you were talking about Natives loving all with no color. That often has not been the case. Unfortunately, living in a white supremacist country, Native Americans have been poisoned by the idea of race just as the rest of us have.

  • @JeshuaSquirrel

    Sadly, the person on the left is right about now many Americans look at COVID measures.
    I said to one such person, "I don't think my personal freedom is more important than over six million lives." The response was, "Then you don't understand freedom."
    I was flabbergasted.

    • @anyaw340
      @anyaw340 2 года назад +1

      If ANY group of people understands freedom, it's black people. We've had our freedom LITERALLY taken from us for 500 years, we were among the people fighting for white Americans' freedom in 1776, then we had to fight for our OWN freedom 100 years later. If anyone knows what true freedom is, it's African Americans.

    Hey guys I hope I can give you some insight on the NFL. It's made up of about 75%-80% of black players. Hov (Jay-Z) is on the board of the NFL and he fought for Dr. Dre to be the halftime show. Dre then called who he wanted from his catalog to perform with him. The Superbowl was in Los Angeles and one of the teams playing in it was the Los Angeles Rams, so LA was lit🔥🔥🔥. The white ppl own all the teams and are mostly all the head coaches! They are also a heavy participants in ticket sales. So this was a big deal for da culture!!!

    I’m sorry I’m late to finding y’all and your reaction channel but y’all had me hit subscribe as soon as you started singing my man 😍😍😍😍😍50 Cents song. No Jay-Z has something to do with Super Bowl entertainment for not sure what or how long. And he didn’t want him on there (he was the “special guest they invited “ for this one. Something they always did have a surprise. BUT EMINEM SAID HE WASN’T DOING THE SHOW UNLESS 50 performed too!!!!!!! TALK ABOUT FRIENDSHIP AND WHY 50 is so extremely loyal to EMINEM BECAUSE HE ONLY HAS A COUPLE CLOSE TO HIM.....YA-Yo of course but 50 would die for EM AND VICE VERSA ITS JOT ABOUT $$$ with them. It’s like EMINEM & DRE. THEY ALL SAVED EACH OTHER WHEN NO ONE BELIEVED OR STOOD WITH THE. BUT HIS SIZE....HE WASNT FAT.....cameras do crazy things but he had to beef up for his acting role in The New Expendable ps movie at that time and it wasn’t released yet. He was so upset because he too all the jokes pretty personal. But when the trailer for that movie dropped it all made sense. Anyways no it wasn’t all whites being racist.....it was controversy over the knee deal BUT EMINEM DIDNT DO IT DURING THE ANTHEM Like Colin did & EMINEM IS A REAL ONE. Not about clout or fame for him BUT IT WAS ALSO IN REVERENCE OF TUPAC RIP When Dr DRE started on the piano playing that song....and he was TRULY EMOTIONAL HE SAID AND NERVOUS BAD BECAUSE IT IS LIVE & such a big deal. The Halftime Show. THEY ARE EXTREMELY STRICT TIME WISE AND THE SINGERS HAVE TO PAY TO PLAY NOT THE NFL PAYING THEM!!!!!!! Which is wrong sorry & why I don’t watch sine learning so much years ago. But Jerry Rice was my other NFL guy. And now I watched his super bowl. COLIN IS A FAKE FRAUD. HE WAS RAISED BY WHITE PEOPLE. I ONLY have watched 2 halftime shows. Use to always be working and only like college ball. I quit NFL when Prime Time Deion did lol. NOW I ACTUALLY WATCH SOME Dallas Cowboys because I’m from MISSISSIPPI and well I know Dak Prescott. He is a great human being. But the controversy was NOT WHO WAS PERFORMING BECAUSE WE’VE HAD ALL THE BIG BLACK ENTES DO IT AND LOVED BY ALMOST EVERYONE. THE MEDIA ONCE AGAIN BLEW IT OUT OF PROPORTION AND DID THEIR NARRATIVES!!!!! We loves all those performers!!!! It was just the knee and 50 controversy with Jay Z oh and the Crip stuff with Snoop the behind the scenes junk. Oh and I’m sure there are racists BUT IT WAS BOTH SIDES!!!! Many black people didn’t want EMINEM PERFORMING. SAD HE gotten hate from both sides all his life but loads of respect and love too. SORRY FOR TYE LONG POST!!!!!!!

      Fully respect your opinion ’ figured we black and went through apartheid were they gave us a word as well and oppressed us’ we’d have a mutual understanding brother 🙌🏽 we do apologise if we miss using it, but the influence is there’ we not using it in disrespectful manner we totally understand how it affected our people

      @@thesouthafricanreactorsspa4850 I'm an old OG crip member way before Dr. Dre or Snoop. I know your blood would run if you were to talk like that to them with their mindset. All blacks don't embrace the same things, some are ruthless. Like in Africa, I've been there before in 1970. Africans are strange thinking too. Many blacks are learning about the lies WHITES told brainwashing us Americans. We read Deuteronomy 28:1-68 and it's clear what God told Abraham long before Jacob and his sons entered EGYPT. ( Genesis 15:13 ) God freed Blacks out of Egypt ( Israelites ) then this came to light Deuteronomy 28:68. Now pay attention to the word "AGAIN" when were Africans enslaved left Africa to be told when you return "AGAIN" I will have SHIPS take you to the four corners of the earth? Blacks aren't AFRICANS we are HEBREWS the same people that GOD told us what would happen to Abraham's descendants. AFRICANS never claimed 400 yrs but BLACKS always have and they don't know why. Scripture says that we would NOT as a TOTAL race recall our IDENTITY but very few of us are turning to that understanding. Chinese to me look like Japanese but are not the same people. Blacks and Africans look the same but are not the same.

    Hell no lol nfl is 75% black. Besides we dominate in literally anything thrown our way🖤

      Its players are 75% black, but not the ownership or the fanbase. That's why people liken it to being a plantation for black players, and white the culture of the NFL seems so rural/whitewashed. The NFL has a huge rural, white fanbase. Rural white America is always about 30 years behind the rest of the US in literally everything. The NFL panders to them because they're such a huge chunk of their viewership. The only fanbase more conservative/white/behind the times is NASCAR's fanbase. The NBA has a more progressive, urban fanbase. More of the NBA's fans are minorities, and the white NBA fans tend to be more forward-thinking and supportive of black civil rights issues.

      I think I'm so exposed to the negative things happening out there I can't see a positive expect in this situation...I'm not racist just controversial and I still look at history as proof.
