How it has changed since I was a nipper back in the late 1950s. There was a corn field where the lake is now situated, with the farmer'e house near the feed area for ducks and geese. The site of the Beefeater was allotments. At the entrance to the Marina was a level crossing which carried the Bedford to Sandy railway line. All the open area north of the lake was a gravel pit. About the only thing that hasn't changed is the Priory wall between the lake and the marina.
@@Pi0trekPL In the 80’s it had about two hides and a smallish car park. I was working loads but my Dog Jack walked around there at least every day? Loved it in Bedford.
