Yea 86ft taller technically, yet several less stories. The building that eclipsed it for that title is only "taller" because of the spire. I still consider Carew tallest for that reason. Silly. As a local here in the greater Cincinnati area, it is a real shame it is shut down atm.
There is no cost to get in the building. There is a fee to get on the rooftop. It was $4 the last time I went. Parking is typical city parking. You can park on the street and there are nearby parking garages. It is ver convenient. Thanks for watching!
Make sure you do your research before sharing information. The hotel was never a bus terminal. You're thinking of the Dixie Terminal at 4th and Walnut St that was the northern terminal for the Greenline/TANK streetcars and buses from 1921-1996, Orchids at the Netherland Hotel used to be an ice skating rink. Otherwise the video was good.
A Cincinnati historian told me it was once a terminal. He must have been mistaken. I am familiar with the Dixie Terminal. Another beautiful building! (It was featured in the movie Rain Man). Thanks for watching!
According to Cincinnati magazine the bar is an old ticket booth from Cincinnati Union terminal🚂 That's probably where the Cincinnati historian got messed up.
I loved this informational video tour so much, thanks 😂 I'm excited to show Cincinnati off to my Canadian husband for the first time. My great Grandpa owned a shoestore in the Carew tower in the 1930's called Grasso's shoes. I wonder which space his shoe store would have been in, I don't know how I'd find out but it's nice knowing that he owned a store there and walked there almost 100 years ago. I could possibly be crossing his footpaths 😂 Cincinnati always has a place in my heart.
Thank you so much for commenting. So cool that your great grandpa owned a store in the Carew Tower. They are currently doing some major renovations to the Tower. I bet it will be nice! Cheers!
I remember going to the observation deck with several family members in 2008. It was breathtaking!
Amazing place. Imagine a movie filmed entirely in the Tower and the hotel.
I agree!
Oh great. I loved growing up there! Thank you so much.
You are welcome. Thanks so much for your comment!
Cincinnati is Ohio's third largest city!
An amazing fact! And to think that some of Cincinnati’s “suburbs” are on the Kentucky side of the river could make the population even bigger.
Gorgeous architecture!
One of the prettiest places in Cincinnati! Thanks for watching. Cheers!
The Carew Tower is one of my favorite place in Cincinnati, Ohio!
I agree! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Kyle and I got engaged on the Observation Deck ❤️❤️❤️ Love it!!!!
Nice Video Mr.Wright!
Thanks!
Not the tallest building in the city anymore but it was up until 2010.

You said you meant the place like Newport and Covington are in Kentucky?
Great video! Looks like an aweome spot to check out. -Anthony
Thank you so much!

i would love to have a party in the hall of mirrors it’s gorgeous
I certainly is a one-of- a-kind place in Cincinnati!
Hi enjoyed your video. Is there plenty of parking and does it cost to enter the building

Beware of fake news.
The Dixie Terminal a few blocks away was the former bus terminal. Carew/Netherland was never a bus terminal.
Glad you brought that up! His video lost all credibility with that very wrong information.

watch the fire works from the crew tower its beautiful
I have wondered if they ever open up the rooftop to watch the fireworks.. That would be amazing. Do you know if they sale tickets to get of the roof?
@@thewrightsights know my husband works there
Beautiful 👍🏻
Thank you.
You said some of Cincinnati's suburbs on the Kentucky side of the river?
I meant that places like Newport and Covington are in Kentucky. If Ohio was on both sides of the river Cincinnati would even be larger. :)
I hope whatever happens to this building, the lobby and banquet hall are left intact
I agree! I have heard that the building is being renovated in condos! I am sure it is a very big project. Thanks for commenting and watching!

That was so much fun going through that with you!! Can’t wait to visit.
She is magnificent.
I agree! Thanks so much for watching!
Eating at Orchids was always an event
