I totally understand. my boyfriend didn’t introduce me to his daughter for quite some time and when he did, we made sure it was over fun dinner and fun games and it was always with her in mind that it would be her included in kids movies and she would get to come to my family’s Christmas the day after hers and just include her so she felt safe but her dad was always with her, and I always understood because I would do the same with my kid.

My dad died when I was 3. Left my mom with seven children to raise with the help of family and friends. When I became older, I asked my mom why she waited so long to remarry. She said she did not want to bring men around her children. As I became even older, I understood. She did remarry down the road. All of us turned out ok. I am the youngest at age 68. Six boys and one girl. Thanks mom. RIP. I truly feel sorry for this mom.
Great story but it has nothing to do with this situation. This man was not her husband nor was he a man she was trying to have an intimate relationship with. He was considered more than just a friend. Ordained by the church and all the people of the community as a prophet and a good role model. Friends and family could have done the same to you. Your mom was just lucky. It's unfortunate, we cant trust no one but ourselves. I'm remarried and my kids are safer with my husband than they were with their own father. I dated a girl in highschool and became really close to her family. When she went to basic training I moved in with her mother and sister after falling out with my mom. Her sister had 2 boys an infant and a toddler. For 2 months my life consisted of working, writing letters to my girlfriend, and holding the baby while watching A Series of Unfortunate Events with the toddler. I leave to go to the army and me and my girlfriend break up. When I got out after serving for 5 years I looked her up. I couldnt find her but I found an obituary with her sister's baby. She moved to Louisiana and her new boyfriend beat the kid on his 5th birthday to death for wetting himself while his mom was out buying last minute gifts and decorations for her baby party. Shit breaks my heart everytime I think about it.

I feel like most pastors these days are fake and are bad people in reality. As a single mother myself this is why I do not date nor bother because of this exact reason. My son is my main focus that’s it. Yes we deserve to be happy but we don’t need a man for that JS. Our main focus should be our children.
She was clearly one of those decent single mothers that wanted a decent male figure/role model in her son's life to help him get over fears and grow into being a decent and productive gentleman in life, and it makes sense that she would do that because single mothers cannot raise their sons to be men, a lot of these mothers will let their boys go out into the community and learn from the wrong types of dudes (thugs, ex-convicts or gang members), so to prevent that from happening she found a pastor that was willing to baby sit, she didn't make any bad decisions here, she just had no idea that pastor was a shape shifter. I've come across people and parents who believe in physically punishing a child for wetting themselves in public or in bed, I personally don't believe in doing that because at some point at a certain age they're going to stop that behavior anyway, I would have recommended just speaking to the child about it or utilize another method of discipline that doesn't involve physical abuse such as briefly taking away television and video games, however this was not his child to do that to.😐

The man definitely went over board. As a man my son died at child birth. I feel bad for the mother because I know the pain I endured when the doctors delivered the news to me. It took me years to recover. My son never got a chance for me to look into his eyes and tell him I loved him. He never got a chance for me to teach him how to ride a bike. My husband passed away some years ago. I think it's okay for mothers to date but it has to be done in a particular way. I have a long-term boyfriend but we don't live together. The only time that my boyfriend has been alone around my child was once on an emergency basis where I was unable to pick up my child from school. Luckily he was available and came through but I had already known him for 3 years before that.

Yes, my oldest brother was killed in a motor scooter accident when he was 19 and I was 11 (our middle brother was 16). It destroyed my mother, and it, consequently wrecked our family in many ways, although we did manage to stay together. That was many, many years ago, but the effects still linger. BTW, don’t ever assume that the death of one sibling doesn’t affect another one, even one as young as 11. Many people ignored me because, I guess, they thought it didn’t affect me, or I was too young to understand. Believe me, I understood, especially as I had to go look at him in his coffin and attend his burial. After all, he was my brother, and he was a part of my life every single day of my life, so, yes, it affected me. While I completely get that my mother was hit the hardest, and had the hardest time for years, so I also felt guilty for wanting, and needing, to talk to someone about it. It’s too bad that back in those days there were no grief counselors or family therapy for a grieving family. I don’t know if any family could have needed family therapy more than ours. It certainly could have changed the trajectories of my other brother’s and my life. I really hope that all the members of this woman’s family gets good quality help, and for as long as they need it, and I especially hope this poor woman can find a way to live peacefully in her life after this. What a horrific tragedy.

I actually have come to believe that boys don't really need father figures until about the age of 12 or 13. When you look at tribal societies both the boys and girls are with their mothers while they're young. The boys are separated and placed with the men when they become teenagers. That's when they undergo their training to learn how to become a man.

I totally understand. my boyfriend didn’t introduce me to his daughter for quite some time and when he did, we made sure it was over fun dinner and fun games and it was always with her in mind that it would be her included in kids movies and she would get to come to my family’s Christmas the day after hers and just include her so she felt safe but her dad was always with her, and I always understood because I would do the same with my kid.

She said she did not want to bring men around her children. As I became even older, I understood. She did remarry down the road. All of us turned out ok. I am the youngest at age 68. Six boys and one girl. Thanks mom. RIP. I truly feel sorry for this mom.

I dated a girl in highschool and became really close to her family. When she went to basic training I moved in with her mother and sister after falling out with my mom. Her sister had 2 boys an infant and a toddler. For 2 months my life consisted of working, writing letters to my girlfriend, and holding the baby while watching A Series of Unfortunate Events with the toddler. I leave to go to the army and me and my girlfriend break up. When I got out after serving for 5 years I looked her up. I couldnt find her but I found an obituary with her sister's baby. She moved to Louisiana and her new boyfriend beat the kid on his 5th birthday to death for wetting himself while his mom was out buying last minute gifts and decorations for her baby party. Shit breaks my heart everytime I think about it.

As a single mother myself this is why I do not date nor bother because of this exact reason. My son is my main focus that’s it. Yes we deserve to be happy but we don’t need a man for that JS. Our main focus should be our children.
She was clearly one of those decent single mothers that wanted a decent male figure/role model in her son's life to help him get over fears and grow into being a decent and productive gentleman in life, and it makes sense that she would do that because single mothers cannot raise their sons to be men, a lot of these mothers will let their boys go out into the community and learn from the wrong types of dudes (thugs, ex-convicts or gang members), so to prevent that from happening she found a pastor that was willing to baby sit, she didn't make any bad decisions here, she just had no idea that pastor was a shape shifter. I've come across people and parents who believe in physically punishing a child for wetting themselves in public or in bed, I personally don't believe in doing that because at some point at a certain age they're going to stop that behavior anyway, I would have recommended just speaking to the child about it or utilize another method of discipline that doesn't involve physical abuse such as briefly taking away television and video games, however this was not his child to do that to.😐

My husband passed away some years ago. I think it's okay for mothers to date but it has to be done in a particular way. I have a long-term boyfriend but we don't live together. The only time that my boyfriend has been alone around my child was once on an emergency basis where I was unable to pick up my child from school. Luckily he was available and came through but I had already known him for 3 years before that.

As soon as they showed the clip with him and baby boy along with her saying 'He came in my son's life, etc' I knew he was pursuing her and using the son to do so. Did not even need the church info to know. It is really sad and scary.
I'm standing here crying for my 18 yo son AND this baby who I never knew. We have to honor the short time we were blessed to have them here with us, learn from their precious lives, teach others, and make changes NOW...... LATER isn't promised.

Yes, my oldest brother was killed in a motor scooter accident when he was 19 and I was 11 (our middle brother was 16). It destroyed my mother, and it, consequently wrecked our family in many ways, although we did manage to stay together. That was many, many years ago, but the effects still linger. BTW, don’t ever assume that the death of one sibling doesn’t affect another one, even one as young as 11. Many people ignored me because, I guess, they thought it didn’t affect me, or I was too young to understand. Believe me, I understood, especially as I had to go look at him in his coffin and attend his burial. After all, he was my brother, and he was a part of my life every single day of my life, so, yes, it affected me. While I completely get that my mother was hit the hardest, and had the hardest time for years, so I also felt guilty for wanting, and needing, to talk to someone about it. It’s too bad that back in those days there were no grief counselors or family therapy for a grieving family. I don’t know if any family could have needed family therapy more than ours. It certainly could have changed the trajectories of my other brother’s and my life. I really hope that all the members of this woman’s family gets good quality help, and for as long as they need it, and I especially hope this poor woman can find a way to live peacefully in her life after this. What a horrific tragedy.

If a father murders his child and he didn't give reasons for concern then that was out of your control but when a man who's not the father/stranger murders your child that you gave access to, you had control of that situation.

I pray that the believers hold this mother up and not just on SUNDAYS.
I actually have come to believe that boys don't really need father figures until about the age of 12 or 13. When you look at tribal societies both the boys and girls are with their mothers while they're young. The boys are separated and placed with the men when they become teenagers. That's when they undergo their training to learn how to become a man.

Never leave a child alone with any man/boy unless it is the father. This was told by a man who is still in jail. He knows many other people behind bars and how some of them got there. He said: the worst age for babysitting is a 14year old boy! He would know. Protect our children.

I know what you mean tho…I never left my children alone with their father. He was a danger. It made it more difficult for me. I didn’t get many breaks..but my children’s safety came before me.
