Your music gives me such a strong optimistic feeling like nothing else does. I found it years ago when I was a closeted Year 11. Now I'm about to go to Uni and I've been out as trans for half a year. Thank you.
Same here. Found it in year 11 after I'd just started experimenting with pronouns. These days I am a proud enby with it/they pronouns, who is living my best life at uni and no longer stands for misgendering. Grace Petrie really helped me feel like it was alright to not take people's shit.
Listening to this reminds me of singing along as a member of the audience choir at the Wellington show at San Fran on 16 October '24. Utterly magical, and a truly excellent gig.
My partner and I live almost 300 miles apart. This song makes me cry every time I listen to it.thank you for the catharsis Grace, and N I look forward to our dance next year xx -D
Heard you on CKUA and as always am glad I listen to the best station on the planet as they constantly introduce me to the best music on the planet. CKUA Radio since 1927, quite a legacy.
We discovered you at this year's Port Fairy Folk Festival. Definitely the highlight of the festival for us - we can't stop listening to you. Thank you, Grace!
I have tickets to see this wonderful person 5 times in the last three months. I will be singing along this with a huge smile on my face. Her person and music makes me feel so optimistic.
I just somehow recall this song when I am feeling tired and down for the day and once I started playing this, I just play this on loop. Somehow it really soothes me and just gosh every time Grace's music is able to calm my heart and help me feel understood and comforted or encouraged at times
I love the song, but I’m mightily impressed with the dedication for filming this video! Looks very difficult and I can’t imagine it was in any way warm!
Wow Grace, just when I thought I couldn't love your music any more than I already do, you release this. Can't wait to see you perform it live in October at the Lighthouse, I'll be the mad person siting in the front row, singing along! 🎶🤣💕
Is anyone else S t r e S S e d about sea debris getting stuck in that poor guitar? No? Just me? Another triumph grace, two of my best friends who are super gay marrying each other next month have 8 of your songs on their wedding playlist ❤️
Well, i highly doubt that that guitar is usable after this, probably was a prop hanging on a wall somewhere. So, no not stressed, but yeah, i was like; you don't *do* that to a musical instrument! There is currently one(1) dislike & i like to think that the person who gave the thumbs down was doing it for this reason.(FTR i hit thumbs up, love this song)
@@LeafHuntress I know it wouldn't be useable anyway but it still stresses me out. Like what if you put it on a wall and 2 years later a baby kraken crawled out. Okay, maybe I need to shelve this one in "OCD thoughts".
This is my favourite song today, I've played it quite a bit, it's such a long way from upstairs at Firebug. Loving your musical style. Can't wait for the album. Did your guitar survive after making the video? All round awesomeness 👌
I've seen Grace live twice and when new gigs are announced close to where I am, I'll be there again. Such a powerful voice, just amazing choruses, and funny af.

And just when I think I'm past listening to this song on loop for hours...
Heard you on CKUA and as always am glad I listen to the best station on the planet as they constantly introduce me to the best music on the planet. CKUA Radio since 1927, quite a legacy.
I feel like your latest youtube videos are just "how to make a musician anxious with instrument abuse" + fantastic music
🤣great post!
"OMG YOUR POOR GUITAR!" I yelled at the screen lol
We discovered you at this year's Port Fairy Folk Festival. Definitely the highlight of the festival for us - we can't stop listening to you. Thank you, Grace!

This song makes my heart pump.
Yes mine too!
Ace song, vid reminds me of the James Sometimes vid from the 90s!
Hot damn, what a great song.
I am surprised I haven't heard any bangers about covid until now 🤩
Apparently Jackson Browne's positive Covid test inspired this one: ruclips.net/video/obCEL088SJw/видео.html
I’m one of your biggest fans now😈😈😈👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I have tickets to see this wonderful person 5 times in the last three months. I will be singing along this with a huge smile on my face. Her person and music makes me feel so optimistic.
And we will. We will. 💜
Woke up with this stuck in my head. I gotta go walking in the rain today and I'm definitely playing the album to get through it
When we look back on this time of our lives, I’ll remember this song as a great pick me up. X
Must have been cold!! Worth it though, great video to match a great song!
My new favorite Grace Petrie song.
I just somehow recall this song when I am feeling tired and down for the day and once I started playing this, I just play this on loop. Somehow it really soothes me and just gosh every time Grace's music is able to calm my heart and help me feel understood and comforted or encouraged at times

Beautiful and poignant, thank you for sharing amazing music 🙏💚❤️💚
I love the song, but I’m mightily impressed with the dedication for filming this video! Looks very difficult and I can’t imagine it was in any way warm!
Saw you at the Northcote Social Club last week. I’m in awe! What an incredible performance and what an astoundingly beautiful human you are ❤
this makes me cry so good, thank you
Great video, great song (as always). I feel a bit sad for that beautiful Crafter acoustic though.
This song breaks me every time i hear it. I adore it.
Love this. I only discovered you last year via The Guilty Feminist podcast. Your music has gotten me through some tough days.

Honestly my main thought was 'Ah. A Northerner.'
Sea Debris would be a good band name. There was that metal band ages ago, Flotsam & Jetsam, they missed a trick.
Yay!! Great song Grace
Love it.
So thrilled it's now out for adding to my playlist!
Absolutely loving this Grace, cant wait to seee you on the stage again.
This has just lifted my soul. Thank you Grace.
This is just wonderful.
This old broad LOVES this song. Who, in their right mind, wouldnt like it ???

All round awesomeness 👌
Love this, looking toward to seeing it live next month!
Bravo Grace! Love this.
Have been waiting and waiting for this fabulous song! Have to admit though - your video makes me feel both seasick and damned cold! 😆
I've been so excited for this since you played at the Home livestream ❤️
Oh this is so perfect!
Great song! Love it❤
Can’t wait to hear this live! Thank you for making a new album!
I want to see this at greenbelt again lol
So so good ❤️
Amazing song! Did you have to throw away that guitar?
Did that guitar survive? 😅
I’ve been wondering the same thing!
Love the song Grace!! You've done it again, another ace song! But how many barnacles did you find in the guitar after the video??? 😜
But the guitar?
Love the song but can't help but worry that the sea salt is going to kill your guitar. Is it ok, can you still play those three cords?
I've seen Grace live twice and when new gigs are announced close to where I am, I'll be there again. Such a powerful voice, just amazing choruses, and funny af.
Love her music, but couldn't go on watching the video because it made me cuasi sea-sick by proxy!
