- After their recent encounter with "A," Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer think they may be closer than ever to figuring out whom "A" really is. But when the girls decide to enlist Caleb's hacking skills to help with their quest, Hanna no longer wants a part of the plan. The last thing Hanna wants is to get Caleb involved in something else shady and also to open the door to questions that Hanna can't answer. Once the girls realize that "A" has a helper, Hanna has no other choice. Instead of focusing on figuring out who the "helper" is, Hanna decides to put all of her efforts into throwing a surprise party for Caleb. But will a surprise party at Spencer's lake house be the diversion Hanna is looking for, or just a recipe for disaster?
Meanwhile, Aria and Ezra must deal with the aftermath of coming clean.

Marlene King has mentioned that in Pennsylvania it is legal to date a minor if they are 16 or older. Aria is 17.

@anne21bon yeah I was just basing the idea that they haven't on the dream scene at the end of 2x09 when aria says "this was so worth the wait" i'm gathering she meant sex and since this was a dream, i would assume that at least as of 2x09 they have not had sex
@hsmbabyv You're right, it all depends on how Ella and Byron see the relationship. I believe they will convinced that this is not the exploitation of authority, but Still as parents you can understand their position. :)

I think Ella will be the one to back down & allow their relationship. She will see how down Aria is & won't want another 'Mike' situation. I do think, however, that she will only do this because she expects it to fizzle out & will get it past Byron by reminding him what he did. Unlucky as they're made for each other! Ezra & Aria -3
OKAY! This is driving me CRAZY!! The writers NEED to do their research! The police can't do anything because what aria and ezra are doing IS NOT ILLEGAL!!!! The age of consent is 16 is pennsylvania (where the show takes place) so even if they were having sex, which i don't think they are, given that dream when aria says it was worth the wait, there in NOTHING illegal about this. So writers, get on it and realize that just because the age of consent is 18 in CA doesn't mean it is everywhere else!
I almost started to cry before I had even finished seeing the video and I kept pausing it cuz I was afraid something bad was gonna happen but I don't feel sad anyway cuz I've seen sneak peak pictures of them being together after 2x15 so I know they are gonna be together :')

@hsmbabyv Still creators told Ezria fans, that bed will be used. When they say someone will go to jail, does not mean forever. The police can arrest him for charges filed against him probably by her parents.

@B25Revi But until it happens her parents really can't do anything. I think it all depends on Byron and Ella, and how they come to terms with the relationship. As long as they're convinced that Ezra is the one who pushed Aria into the relationship, then they might press charges against him

I understand that Byron has to act like a parent and discipline his daughter and all, but he did the same thing and he was MARRIED at the time. He also made Aria lie to her mom.

@anne21bon true, but he isn't her teacher anymore, so they are in the clear. and there's no way to prove to the police that they were in a relationship while he was still her teacher. AND a teacher/student relationship is only illegal if sex is involved, which doesn't seem to be the case. although in reality, it's unlikely that 2 people in a relationship for months who are in love haven't had sex, this is a tv show, so reality doesn't really matter.

But because it's fictional characters and the story written by the creators presents a love story and not the exploitation of authority Ezria would be together. @B25Revi Of course I can understand their position. Let's face it, he is older and he was her teacher. It looks, sounds and smells bad. Although the fact that the relationship continued after he quit working at Rosewood should probably mean something to them, it still looks bad.
@edkspongebob I googled it and it said it was 16..but then the internet could be wrong. I think weather or not the person will be sent to jail will depend on the facts: how old was the student? did they have sex? was the student forced into it? And of course the constitution of the state has a lot to do in that. But we also have to remember that this is a TV show, and that the writers/producers could interpret in a way or ignore the law for their story's benefit

@4everilmh It's legal as long as they didn't consummated the relationship.And if they consummated the relationship (had sex), it depends on the constitution of the State of Pennsylvania. What is certain is that dating a student it's unethical and immoral and can ruin the career of the teacher, especially since it involves a minor

@edkspongebob It's not illegal to date a teacher...incredibly unethical, yes, and it would also ruin the teacher's career for ever, but you can't be sent to jail for dating someone that's over the age of consent.

@hsmbabyv But it is illegal if they had sex. The Constitution stipulates that a minor who has sex with an adult that the age gap more than 4 (Ezra is 22-23) Whether it is consensual sex or not It is considered rape!

I hate how everyone is all Ezra is perverted because he's going after a minor and she should be with Jason. I'm like really Jason would be doing the same thing. Only difference is that Ezra was her teacher. Which is wrong I'm not saying that it's not but I love Ezra and I actually still find Jason creepy. You don't have to be A to be creepy. Byron also can't really talk since he did date a student and cheated on his wife and then made his daughter lie about it. I just really hate Byron
