You mean class 10.9? There's no such thing as a grade 10. Class 10.9 is equal to grade 8 bolts. I understand the confusion. Grade is the SAE system which is used in the United States. Class is the metric system that is used in the rest of the world. If you got it from Honda which means from a Japanese dealer they only use the metric system. You got a grade 8 bolts my man. That should be stronger than the original bolt, but I have a lot of reports that they still break. The reason for this is because Grom has 3 mounts point while, the clone only has 2. If you add a third mount point then you should be okay. The link to these bolts are in the description. The reason the grade 8 bolts are more expensive than the Honda dealership is because you get 10 of them, in case one broke. I also added the link to the stronger grade 12.9 as well, which is what I use and it has never been broken.
@@HappyCamperLife yes, stock nuts will work and is what I used. The bolt had to be strong the nut just kept the bolt in place. Just don't forget loctite.
I just added it to description. I added links to alternative parts as well. If it help you, be sure to give it a like so that more people can see it. I don't make money off these videos.
All the links to the parts I used are in the description. I also link some alternative parts as well.
What size bolts do you have to drill out 3/8
@@adamburgett7066 check the links in description for the size. No, you don't have to drill anything. Let me know if you have anymore questions
Thanks, this helps a lot. I bought the grade 8 bolts you put in the description since most people said it's good enough and it's 10$ cheaper.
I used a 3/8 reamer and opened the holes up. I used 3/8-16 bolts and the vibration is almost non-existent.
I ordered genuine Honda Grom motor mount bolts and nuts and used them, they are grade 10 and were only $20.00.
