Although none of us can speak for the Queen and we wouldn't know what her decision would be, I think it's a good thing that Beatrice didn't need the Queen's permission and consent to the marriage. If she were higher in line to succession and a Senior Royal, the Queen *may* not have agreed, considering he has a child out of wedlock.

Beatrice may even be the kindest , coolest, most interesting person on earth (conjecture) but she is not his type, his ex was his type. Yes, Edoardo's father, Count Alessandro "Alex" Mapelli Mozzi, allegedly descended from Italian Aristocracy, so he has a peerage. Edoardo will likely inherit the peerage but as a British citizen, he cannot use his Italian title in the UK.
@Toia Townes but at the end of the day, Beatrice's husband will share a life long bond with another woman because of their son. There's going to be three or even four in the marriage. If Beatrice thinks it's going to be just the two of them, she's mistaken.

And when she supposedly said she "looks forward to uniting their families", I found that an odd comment...because to me, it actually sounded like she and Edoardo look forward to associating themselves with the BRF for business opportunities...Her son will also be related to the BRF, by virtue of his father's marriage.
Judging by the family photos, Edoardo looked happy with Dara. I think her being a very independent woman, a business woman herself, he saw her as a threat to his own ego. Beatrice is the total opposite and he's likely more secure and comfortable with that.

Baby mama is beautiful, she's not that much older than him, just 37, he's 34 same as Megan and Harry. Dara and Edo met in early 2015. They had broken up, but was still living together when he started dating beatrice, and that's when Dara moved out.
