    For 2 years, the battery died and the trimmer stopped,
    I need to buy a new battery, it is easy to disassemble,
    But the glass case breaks during disassembly, at the assembly points, but it is not fatal, I will reassemble it.
    A bigger battery can be put in, but check how it fits in your bed,
    Needs silicone/glue to attach the battery
    The blades should be lubricated with thin oil, from a sewing machine is suitable
    The engine runs great.
    Thanks for the video, Greetings to all..

    • @greg6162
      @greg6162 9 месяцев назад

      Yeah but it’s a Lithium-Ion battery. It looks like the green Sony VTC (18650) batteries I would use for my old vape mod. They were the best because the could run at higher amps. You might have higher MAH NiMh batteries but if they can’t take the higher amps that the motor needs then it will burn them out quick. He mentioned you could fit a bigger battery but with that circuit board I’m wondering if it would effect performance in any way. As long as you matched the amp output on the OEM battery you could probably get way more run time. But in all fairness mine is the 9000 series and gets 6/hours of run time and the 7000 series still gets 5/hours of continuous run time. So I don’t think battery life is the issue. The Phillips and Wahl Li-ion have the best battery performance out of any trimmer by far. I can’t see you needing more than 5-6/hours of continuous use on one charge? I mean if you have the battery and are good at soldering then by all means. I definitely wouldn’t recommend putting any NiMh battery in place of Li-Ion. I’m not sure why these would need to be taken apart? I just got mine a few days ago so maybe there’s a design flaw. But I wouldn’t recommend running these under water no matter what the packaging says. The blade attachments, yes… but not the handle itself. Just use the brush and maybe some canned air. I think that’s why a lot of these fail. Eventually water gets in somehow and causes rust or oxidation. Idk I could be wrong as I haven’t had mine long enough

    merci pour les explications, j'ai pu réparer mon Mg7770, car il ne fonctionnait plus et je pensais que c’était la batterie, mais une fois démonté, j'ai actionné le bouton qui était un peu dur et le moteur c'est mis a tourner donc j'ai mis du wd40 (encore du conseil). I’m sure you could rig up a mosfet switch or something… but these things get 5/hours-6/hours of continuous runtime for the 7000/9000 series? Once you see the light blink charge it or even sooner. With Li-Ion batteries the worst thing you can do is run them down to 0% dead. It’s really damaging to the overall battery health… just like a cell phone. You’re better off topping off a battery that’s %50-%70 charged than waiting until it’s completely dead. You can do the 5-minute quick charge and get a quick shave out of it, but again it’s terrible for the battery health and longevity if you do it too often.

      @@LaughingOutLaud1 Nice! What size battery do you think will fit in there without "modding"(I don't have access to a 3D printer), do you think an 18650 will fit? Or is the largest that'll fit the original assembly an 14500 as the video creator suggests?
      Looking at the video, it seems like there's a lot of space lengthwise, so I assume the diameter is the limiting factor.

    *People, do NOT run the battery handle under WATER… just the attachment heads!!!* the device is *water-resistant* not water proof. They tell you it’s OK but it’s definitely not!! I just got mine a few days ago and I laughed reading that in the instructions and I have a better understanding of electronics than most, so I understand why most people read that, then dunk them underwater like it’s a toothbrush are upset their razors are dead after two years. Yes things are engineered to stop working but this can largely be prevented if you just brush the hair out and maybe use a old toothbrush snd some canned air to get hair out. Trust me your razor will last much longer that way. I’m sure there’s some that will crap out regardless, but most of these dying because of oxidation and rust.
