I love blue polish 💙I’ve gotten responses from a male coworker on my green nail polish so I went on a green polish 2 month bender until he had nothing else to say. I would have loved to ask the guy who said the blue nails make him sick if he doesn’t go outside without violently getting sick since a majority of things on earth are blue. .
💙💙💙 I'm aging myself here but sometime in the late 80s early 90s I found a bottle of royal blue frosted polish at the drugstore. I had no idea they made it in that color. I had to have it cuz it matched this silky blue blouse I had. I felt so brave wearing it. I'm very surprised to see a blue from the 50s!
What a gorgeous color! I love that you noticed the fingerprint on the label, and let your mind wonder about the life of the woman whose print lives on. 🥰
Imagine making someone that upset with just your nail color! I love blue polish, especially with glitter or shimmer, it reminds me of being a tween in the early 2000s and colors I would’ve picked at that age 💙
I'm a teal-leaning person, and I LOVE how gorgeous this color is! You are SO right about how clean it applies. And the short that went along with it! SO GOOD that you found both colors! And the left-behind fingerprint is a wonderful touch on a superb color
I just ordered two blue polishes after being inspired by one of your other videos, the one featuring Street Wear Dark, and I am eager to see if I can pull off blue! Thank you for the inspiration, and this video was very comforting when we needed it most. 💙
The fingerprint on the bottle makes me a little emotional as well ☹️ just amazing to think of someone making that swatch so many years ago, I wonder what she'd think about the bottle being restored and used today!
Blue genuinely is my favorite color to paint my nails. 😂 I never even heard that, but now that I have, I want even more blue polish. 😂 Because you were right about men I’ve been with rarely finishing the job. 😅😭
I relate to those women who were criticized because of blue nail polish. One day I met my ex fiance for dinner and coffee. During the meal he stared at my mid shade blue nailpolish and said: "Isn't this type of blue too young for your age?" I was around 32 - 33 around the time. Now I am 41, I still wear and rock blue and other brave nailpolish.
@@K_i_t_t_y84 thank you so much! I’m almost at 400k on TikTok so it feels like I’m starting over but I’m glad to know I’m reaching a few new viewers here! 🥰
The color turned out so beautiful! 😻 Blue is generally my least favourite color and I also own the least amount of blue polishes but I’ll do a blue polish Mani today in tribute to all the ppl who rocked it in spite of mainstream opinion. I’m so glad I found you channel, these restorations are fascinating 💙
Blue is one of my go to colors and i usually get tons of compliments when i wear it , men too! But if a man expressed hating something …you betchya i would start doing it even more 😂
Blue was by far the dominant shade in my Julep polish collection. Some of that has gotten tacky/is drying down, so I see some Seche Restore in my future!
Can you show me how you got nail shape?!! I love the kitten claws but struggle to get it right… this is the first time watching a video! So cool to see an old bottle!
My best, most high quality polishes are still my mom's Revlon and Maybelline polishes from the 90s. Incredibly self leveling, very opaque. This is on a whole nother level compared to those!
In the 90s, but also in the 2000s, dark blue nail polish was considered "brave" and outrageous. I had no idea that also light blue and turquoise nail polish was considered like that in the somewhere in the past! I remember though, 20 years ago, that men had this sort of adversity for grey nail polish, therefore everybody wore it😂
I’m so glad to have found you on RUclips! I love your Reddit posts and was always disappointed that I couldn’t watch your TikToks without having the app.
Why the stigma behind blue nail polish?! Was it in the same fashion as the backlash for red lipstick? Does it have ties to class resistance or some other meaning?
I came across your cotton candy video and absolutely had to go binge your tiktok vids. Love these but I do have one question. Are you ever concerned about what ingredients might be in the older nail polish that isnt in nail polish today? I'm sure its relatively similar to modern day but I would think there may be some components that we didnt have as much information about that may have snuck in.
I have a hard time believing that women were allowed to smuge the paint on a product and still box them up for sale. I think this got smuged a different way or it was never for sale.

My favorite color is blue! Most of the colors I've gotten compliments on were shades of blue!

I’ve been wearing blue hued polish almost exclusively since the 90s. It just hits.

Loved the color and the history you provided on radical blue nail polish. Yes, I do want to paint my nails AND hair blue now ☺️

My husband LOVES blue nail polish! His favorite colors are blue and purple so I try to do blue and purple manicures often for him to enjoy too 💙 💜
That bottle design is so gorgeous.

i love learning with your vids/shorts. i had no idea they did these colours before the 90's, i love it.
Really nice color.
Pretty polish! I nevere liked blue polish until more recently. How dramatic that a nail polish color made someone sick 🙄
Painting my nails blue rn. I hope it makes someone that emotional 😂

I admittedly have much more green polish than blue, but this is really pretty!
