As someone with an older sister, this stage of their life its major comparisons between them and I can sense how frustrating that is for both of them especially dixie. I think dixie not being happy about this is totally valid. She finds her thing that she feels proud of and she knows what’s to come with Charli branching out into music
i’m not super into the d’amelios but dixie’s reaction, although a bit childish, was totally warranted. the family cornered her, on tape, and blatantly had this great expectation for dixie react fondly and unconditionally support charli. this could seriously affect dixie’s career as a singer! i’ve always had a strange discomfort with the sisters’ publicity. i know for a fact that there’s an unspoken struggle for dominance, seniority, favoritism, etc. and i’m really concerned. everything looks alright at surface-level, but it hurts to watch these girls strain their relationship. i hope they can set healthy boundaries and find a way to better separate their work from their family. it must be hard since they’re both so young, similar in looks and age. i wish the family the best.

I am just going to sort this drama out and end it. Many people are saying dixie is the one causing drama, but i don’t think so because charli was good at dancing and dixie was good at singing, why did charli have to steal the only thing dixie was actually good at? Also, they kept it as a secret for months. You accept dixie to be nice to charli after that? No. If charli didn’t keep it a secret for so long, dixie wouldn’t have been that mad. There is nothing wrong abt Charli doing music too, but the lying was out of order. Dixie’s own father lied to her about “acting classes”, because he knew damn well Dixie would be upset about it. If he wanted Charli to do music, he could’ve told Dixie right away. Her feelings would be hurt, but as a father he should tell her how she’s wrong because there’s nothing wrong with both of them doing music, they both do TikTok. And Charli is her little sister, so it’s pretty likely that this would happen. Ngl them hiding it was stupid It made it seem more like Charli was against Dixie. But I do feel like In some ways Dixie is a bit immature with this? Like I get it lol it was your thing, but maybe she should try thinking more positive think about singing with her sister or both of them writing a song together. Not about how she thinks Charli is taking this from her. Not about how she thinks Charli will outshine her in something she thought was ‘her thing’. They’re still young but I’m even younger maybe it’s bc I have 4 siblings but when I was younger I always thought everything was a competition I didn’t want to be similar to any of them. Now I find our similarities inspiring and fun so I just idk go with the flow and embrace them. Life is only so long. Try your best to let go of thinking only about winning and start thinking about living. Besides that I feel like the whole family’s take on this including Charli was stupid and immature. If you feel the need to hide it is it really something you think you should be doing? And on top of that secrets, and hiding things may seem like ur protecting someone but you could really be hurting them more. Tbh their parents should’ve made them deal with this differently. They’re young adults, not bulls. You can’t let them fight over something they both enjoy.
