Hes been a fan since age 10, he's seen Maiden twice already, and almost every Folk/Pagan/Viking/Celtic metal band on Earth. The only band on the list he/I hasn't seen is Skalmold and Heidevolk. Metsatoll puts on a Hel of a show I might add!!!!

I was first exposed to these guys when they opened for Lizzy Borden and Demons & Wizards in Denver. Of the three, they were the only band to really catch my attention, though I've got to admit that Lizzy has insane vocal talent. The energy these guys bring to the stage is electric.

I don't know that I agree that this is moving "Backwards", but it does hearken back more to their Ragnarok era sound. Both in the style of the music, and that this is going to be another concept album. I think if you listen to Heljareyga you can hear that this is just Heri Joenson's influence on the band. His personal style is very evident in this track.
You're right -- I noticed that in Steven Wilson's newest album. However, despite the mainstream structure of that album's single, the song itself still tried to have some originality and identity.

Northern Star was one of their best albums. Very strong all the way through. These are the best two I think.
