I believe that all young folks should be brung up to help in the garden. They learn a lot and have fun at the same time. I’m laughing with you about pulling up those peppers and shaking that reusable soil from the roots. That’s how I felt pulling those okra plants. People think that it’s easy but the struggle is real lol.
Hi @yolandalee4494, I agree 100% kids should learn while the older folks are still around. Definitely keeping as much soil as possible, it's getting expensive. It is a struggle but worth it. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Hi Ursula, I eat my peppers too no matter the size!!! They taste good small!!! Your grandbaby is cute!! Teach them young! I can remember help my grandma in the garden! And you are right, who knows what the future holds, we need to grow and store as much as we can in cans so there is longer shelf like than freezing! That’s my goal this coming year, is to can more so I have shelf stable food to sustain my household
Hi @SteffaniesJourney, thanks so much. Peppers are the one vegetable that is usable small, medium or large. Definitely love when the grandkids come out and interested in my garden. Things are getting so expensive in the grocery stores, growing our own and storing could prepare us for what the future holds. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Hmm 🤔 is that a bobble hat it definitely must be chilly then. I had nuts in a blueberry 🫐 pot one year they are a real pest and not as easy to get rid of as you’d think. Hi Ali...Oh no, not lefty, no knife for you OK. Yes, it was a bobble hat and it was chilly out now it's back in the 60's. Thank goodness the ants weren't still in the pot, and I didn't have to fight with them but glad to still have peppers. Happy Holidays.
going to try peppers this year see how i get on. just took out potatos, i've not got much room & like you i grow in pots. looks like you got a keen helper there 🙂🫑🫑

You could overwinter them up to five years. I have a five-year banana pepper that is so prolific. You could cut it down and put it in the garage or something.
Hi @deltorres2100, thanks for the info, I did keep 3 plants to over-winter but I have some new bell pepper seeds I want to try in 2025. Not trying to have too many plants this Summer, I can't take the heat. Happy Holidays.
