I absolutely loved every minute of this video! I've never been to Champaign, although I lived in Chicago, Illinois all my life, and I want to attend UIUC. I applied to transfer in this upcoming semester, and I got my acceptance yesterday, but i'm unsure if i'll attend due to such short notice. No apartment or any arrangements what so ever. Short notice was because they refused to give me a response until they got my high school transcript, which my highschool took forever to send. This gave me a better view of the student life out there. What year student and major are you? Please continue to make videos, because this was extremely great content!

Campus is beautiful. The weathered brick, the corroded copper, the chimneys... The trees during mid- to late-fall are gorgeous. I used to love just wandering around for hours when I had the time. There are woods on campus, too, and when there's snow, they're so quiet and nice.

A few observations from a U. of I. graduate of 32 years ago. First, great video. You have great energy. I really appreciate what you've put together.
Green St. has changed so much. I suppose Murphy's is still there, but other things on Green St. have changed so much as to be unrecognizable compared to 30 years ago. The dorm food looks SO much better than it was when I was there. Stanley O. Ikenberry was the U. of I. president when I was there, and now they've apparently named some buildings/dorms after him (Ikenberry Commons). I guess that's to be expected. Altgeld Hall and the Quad are the same, except when viewed through the lens of time they look EVEN BETTER now. It is a beautiful campus and sometimes you don't fully appreciate that when you're there. Finally, the place you referred to as "Camby Club" in Urbana looks exactly the same as it did 32 years ago, except it was a bar called Thunderbirds (or T-Brids) and the age to get in was 18 and they'd serve you. So, it was very popular with freshman.

Hey this is so cool, just scrolling through my home feed and this popped up. I live about 10 minutes north and work in Champaign at Christie Clinic. How ironic, congrats, hope you enjoy it. I go to Parkland as a nursing student but my stepmom works at the University!
As an alum (class of 2014), this made me nostalgic. I kept trying to guess where you were on campus before you said it in the video haha

Im in Champaign all the time. I'm actually going to college myself but not at the U of I. Walking through downtown on campus is very cool.
I loved the U of I and every minute of my time there. Yes, the campus is in central Illinois, but there are so many things to do and so many opportunities for the students and residents of C-U. Also, the university has many notable alumni, including the founder of PayPal, Yelp, RUclips, the Pampered Chef, Playboy, and the Harlem Globetrotters, just to name a few. Also, I heard that the President of Ecuador graduated from here.
