Before she was only on Christian radio stations, which has a small audience, but now she's on pop stations, which has a much broader audience. Millions more people are hearing what she has to say about God through her songs. Do you realize how big of good influence she can be now that she's on mainstream and on the top 100 ?

Love ❤️ how she’s a city set on a hill which cannot be hidden. I would have had hope through a song like this when I was walking through some of my most darkest days before Christ. Love the reggae feel and the cute boho style. Her smile is contagious as well. Switchfoot, Jars of Clay, Josh Garells, P.O.D., and many others have boldly crossed over to bring light to hurting wounded people. The world is SO dark. Here I am send me she’s saying. She’s not running the opposite way and she’s not staying in comfort zones. I always think the best and never wish for people to have failed attempts to bring peace. Blessed are the peacemakers..

Just heard this song for the first time Jan 1, 2022 by channel surfing. I stopped on a random music video channel, and not even 20 seconds in, I was in complete tears and smiling from ear to ear!. I've never had a song invoke so much emotion in me, so fast and so strong. Just writing this comment is making me emotional. What has this song done to me man!. 🤦😊

Wow just because ppl state another opinion didn't make it bad. There are other reasons why I disagree with some choices and the name Jesus should be in every song honestly if not okay but it should come up in the interview when asked about your inspiration, she never thanked God
If you knew anything about the Bible, you wouldn't be so quick to open your mouth. You should be able to tell the difference between a woman of God and a woman of the world. And yes, that includes dress. The Bible speaks specifically on how women should dress, with modesty and shamefacedness. Women do not have to be ashamed of their bodies, but should be ashamed to show off their bodies to anyone other than at home with their husband. You, like others justify these behaviors because that's what the world does. You pick and choose what to follow out of the Bible. One day you find out you were very wrong. Study and read, search out the scriptures, don't just assume and running with the rest of the world. Seek wisdom, and it will be given to you.

Jesus dined with sinners so that they would know him and come to faith. This is a huge stepping stone to broadcast Christian music and such a huge public standing. This way people who would have never heard of Christian music about God speaking to us can. She is planting the seeds.
Yes Felecia, Jesus did and He always had a reason for spending time with sinners. It wasn't to party and have a good time, it was to change the sinner and teach them the truth. He never left a sinner the same way He found them. He always forced them to make a decision one way or the other. Even with the prostitute/adulteress, He told her, "I do not condemn you," now *"go and sin no more."* Unfortunately, Lauren is not doing that. Instead it appears the sinners are _rubbing off_ on Lauren. Lauren needs to keep singing her _strong_ christian songs and dress modestly like she used to, as a representative for Jesus Christ, *if* she wants to influence the world and help turn people's lives toward the Gospel of Jesus, through her music. But she has put herself on an international stage as a follower of Jesus Christ and someone who sings Gospel music, on a record label. She's on Television programs. And unfortunately, she has changed everything about herself that we've all come to know and love as a christian, over the years. (You probably never knew about her, years ago.) I strongly disagree with your thought process. God has already communicated His requirements on how we should represent what a "Follower of Jesus Christ" looks like to the world. (You would know that if you were a follower of Jesus Christ.) Lauren was doing a beautiful job. Now Lauren has a new personality, a new way of writing songs, and a new way of dressing, which is not a good representation of what the Scriptures say about being a follower of Jesus Christ. And it certainly isn't who Lauren *used to be.* So everyone is rejecting the NEW Lauren.

Is that what she was doing? Couldn't tell, from the lyrics. Why is she so shy about naming God in her songs? Not just that song; any of her songs. Seen her web site? Nothing on there at all about Jesus. Nothing there about God. Is she embarrassed to call herself a Christian artist, as she had declined to say, in a recent interview? Why won't she call homosexuality a sin? Is she afraid that to say Yes to that would hurt record sales?

She won't call herself a Christian artist for one of two reasons. 1)The money/popularity from the secular world or 2) she's trying to bring people to Christ in a very subtle way, knowing that if she mentions Jesus it will, unfortunately, alienate a lot of people. The problem with this is plenty of people believe in a "higher power" or a "god of the universe" but deny Jesus has any part in it and her lyrics could be empowering these people as they are too vague.

At least her music is getting out there and will maybe attract some people to listen to her other music. The lyrics are very powerful, and there are certain strong phrases in here that let you know this song is a lot deeper than a secular song. It still stands out. She is not afraid to sing about God. I'm from the Caribbeans and her song has a tune, dress attire & all goes very according to the type of music she is interpreting. Calypso style. I luv her variety of music style. As for who gets the glory for her talent it all belongs to the Lord and Lauren surely demonstrates it in feeling & interpretation. Our Lord is a Lord of many talents and gifts which he sets on who He desires. He owns the skills, strategies & boldness that we have when we use them. All her songs have a message, its like she preaches when she sings & u can feel how the Holy Spirit lifts u up when u most need it. Look in to your heart and ask the Lord what are u doing with the talents he has given u. Are u hiding them or just using them to point at a fellow Christian. Have you ever stood up in a public place to tell everyone that Jesus is our Savior. Well Lauren is standing with boldness in a place that maybe its not a church and telling others that they to shall be able to look up and seek His face.

I love seeing musical artists like Lauren Daigle who are Christian who speak love to non Christians and Christians alike in their songs. They glorify the Lord by singing hope to people in general in a Biblical perspective and don't make it a worship song with Christian words but use language that non-Christians can relate to. In her body language and attitude and facial expressions she truly demonstrates what the peace and joy of the Lord is like...Lauren Daigle you are a bright light among the darkness! Thank you!!!

As believers spreading the gospel, we need to have a good understanding of our audience. We have to be able to recognize what they will be receptive to and what might take a little longer to accept. This does not mean that we change the gospel to sooth our worries about fitting in but rather that we approach evangelism in a way that will capture our audience’s attention.
I honestly think that what Lauren Daigle is doing is incredibly smart. She is singing Christian songs from her Christian album that don’t directly mention God not because she is afraid of being ridiculed or rejected, but because she is easing the audience into it by first showing the love and light of God in her life through her music.
Jesus did not preach to the people in words they did not understand. Instead, he spoke to them in a way that was simple and pointed to him but didn’t confuse them. I believe Lauren is doing the same exact thing and following Jesus’ example. A song does not have to mention the Lord as long as the essence of who God is, is present.
Oftentimes, our actions speak louder than words. No, we should never be ashamed of the gospel, but we also need to recognize that there are plenty of people who claim the gospel but act in a way that contradicts what the Bible clearly says. This is discouraging and even angering to non-believers because as Christians, we have trouble fully committing to what we believe in. So when we try to evangelize, we are rejected because we as the Church have treated the people badly and have been putting up a facade.
Lauren is first showing her character and the Holy Spirit who shines within her. This will capture the attention of the people better than just shouting “Jesus” and hoping someone gives you the time of day to speak to them. She is establishing herself as a confident, faithful, kind, and authentic young woman. The Holy Spirit is evident in the way she acts, which will soften the hearts of the audience, sparking a desire to know where that brilliance comes from.

I strongly agree with you, as a Christian myself. Instead of being so critical and judgmental we should encourage others, not push them away. It does not mean support what is wrong, but by being so "in your face" about it, it will not make anyone listen.
