I really like that you show the internet, that not every shot is a hit. Sometimes you get the impression that the photographers on social media get a hit by each picture taken.
Of course!🤗 I see what you mean, I think it's natural seeings as the not-so-good photographs might not seem worth showing. In my case I simply want to document the process🙌🏼
I really appreciate you including all aspects of this time in the woods -- what worked, what didn't, and why you did what you did. Definitely inspiring.
These recent videos of yours have inspired me to give b&w film another go as a challenge to myself, since color is such a big part of my compositions and what draws me to subjects. Also I'm always impressed that you're able to finish a roll of film in one session; it usually takes me MONTHS to finish a roll lol
Ohh sweet, I'm glad this could inspire you to give it a try! I think it's such a unique effect that can be explored🙌🏼 Ohh no, I don't finish a whole roll in one session, never😳 But I shoot quite a lot so I might finish a roll in a week with two or three different sessions on one roll of film🤗
A lovely episode, thank you. My favourite is the tree branches with the catkins against the lake, and I also really like the one with the tree branches reaching out in the puddle.
Love the way you narrate...so calm and collected. It compliments nicely the calmness that you're trying to convey. BTW, you forgot to mention the Mamiya Sekor 55mm f1.8 lens you used. [Caught a glimpse of it when you did a close-up while putting water over it for effect @8:07 into the video.] When I was into film, I used to put things - like women's black stockings or some netting - over the lens to create a soft effect. 🙂
Wonderful video. I particularly like the overheard photo of tree branches with circular outter blur. Your shooting on an overcast day has inspired me to get my camera and go shoot. I enjoy you channel very much.
Oh what a shame that you don't like the photograph of your shoes. Because I find that is the best shot that you have taken in this serie. It's really unique, but that's my opinion
For the action portrait, assuming a ten second timer on the camera, you could set eight seconds on the phone, when that goes off you have two seconds to get into your final position. Your video camera would be useful for confirming the shot.
Hi Teo as I was looking for some inspiration, Alex from The Photographic Eye has sent me here. My favourite of your pictures is the one with the tracks on the path.
Man, I love that little lake. I took some epic halloween bedsheet ghost pictures there with my girlfriend. If you’re, lucky you’ll catch some beavers in the water, and in the surrounding forest is a deer feeding station. I’ve heard the whelps of a baby before, but they’re very elusive creatures. I really liked the second self portrait of you against them tree, but my favourite picture might be the reflection where you tossed a stone into the water. The ripples add great texture to the reflection.
@@teocrawford haha yep 😅 it's also a beautiful place to be after heavy snowfall 😍 highly recommend going back next winter Yeah, I think I got really lucky with time of year 🦫 they were busy chomping down trees close to the edge of the lake
I really like the second rotating branches one. But just trying to think about the rotation speed and how to nail the composition leaves my head spinning 😅 i guess that is one that's just trial and error 🤔
Found my new favorite youtuber here! You inspired me with your shots man! Got lumix gx80 as well! :) got a prime lense of 25mm f1.7 :)) quick qs. Do you have like a video of how to make the photos sharper? Say i’m shooting landscape with this lense, i’m really struggling to like make it look sharp? Or focused? 😅 dont know why.😅
Aww thank you! :)) Hmm I don't have such a video. Have you tried manual focus? Maybe something's not working with the Auto focus? Because your photograph should be sharp without any fancy tricks actually :D
I bought it last summer, because I was worried that my film cameras might break sometime and I didn't have a backup. Also I was thinking it's better to buy backups sooner rather than later due to hiking prices😬
Not much, especially when just strapping a GoPro to my head. For some reason on this day I felt like filming a bit differently. But I should mention that the videos are not of the quality I would like them to be, however to achieve that quality I think it would end up being in the way🤷🏻♂️

My favorite photo was when you was standing behind that tree gave me some ghost vibes
Haha I see what yoh means, thanks for sharing your thoughts!🤗🙇🏻♂️
Can i just say when he shows the picture at 6.14 I thought hmmm looks like Michelangelo and then he said it. So cool
Some of the best film content on youtube. I love your narration and critiquing of your own work for each of your shots.
A lovely episode, thank you. My favourite is the tree branches with the catkins against the lake, and I also really like the one with the tree branches reaching out in the puddle.
Ahh catkins is what you call those?🧐👌🏼
I see, thank you for sharing your thoughts!🤗🙇🏻♂️

Really love the vibes and the images. Thanks for sharing.
Aww great, thank you!🤗

Shoot B&W is definitely a different skill I’d like to get better at, beautiful video as always !
Same! I've only recently tried to practice it more and I'm already feeling more confident after two months🙌🏼
Thank you!🤗
Hi, i love this photos!
Great video Teo! Looks like you just had a fun, relaxing time experimenting!
Yes, I did hehe🤗
Thank you!🙇🏻♂️
This Zenit E camera is so nice.
Yeees, although the ergonomics are honestly quite hard to handle haha. It's this heavy brick without a strap😅🙌🏼
For the action portrait, assuming a ten second timer on the camera, you could set eight seconds on the phone, when that goes off you have two seconds to get into your final position.

Ahh sounds like something I need to play around with more, thanks for sharing!🤗🙌🏼
Great photos .. how did you achieve that cool
looking grain in your photos ?
Hi Teo as I was looking for some inspiration, Alex from The Photographic Eye has sent me here. My favourite of your pictures is the one with the tracks on the path.
Ahh sweet, that was so kind of him!🤗
I see, thank you for sharing🙇🏻♂️

Ahh I thought you'd know this place haha! Ohh cool!
What? You've seen beavers there!?🥺
Ahh I see, thanks for sharing Marcus!🤗

That film grain always hits different. Sad that I never got around to shooting BW film during my 5 years of film
Ooff yes, this roll was pretty grainy to my surprise actually🤷🏻♂️🙌🏼
I really like the second rotating branches one. But just trying to think about the rotation speed and how to nail the composition leaves my head spinning 😅 i guess that is one that's just trial and error 🤔
Your videos are always a work of art mate
Aww thank you!🥺🙇🏻♂️

Since when so you have the Zenit camera? Love the video!
I bought it last summer, because I was worried that my film cameras might break sometime and I didn't have a backup. Also I was thinking it's better to buy backups sooner rather than later due to hiking prices😬
Man that camera is like carrying a brick around with you.
Ohh yes it is hahah😅😅 Honestly I don't really like it's ergonomics, but it's the only one I have with a timer🤷🏻♂️
You seem very focused on taking stills so I was wondering, does making a video at the same time ever get in the way?
Not much, especially when just strapping a GoPro to my head. For some reason on this day I felt like filming a bit differently. But I should mention that the videos are not of the quality I would like them to be, however to achieve that quality I think it would end up being in the way🤷🏻♂️
First
Ohh yes!💪🏼
Am I the only one noticing the haircut?
Hahah seems so, they've been chopped✌🏼
Thumbs Down for putting water on a lens, putting water on a Filter, that is o.k., even Vaseline can be fine on a filter but not on a lens.
