Useful! Thinking of buying Palouse grown Hard Red Winter Wheat Berries but wasn't ready to commit to buying a grain mill. Think I'll start with our nutribullet and do some baking tests.
Yes, the video is really useful. Especially in those times when we doesn't really know what we have in the flour we buy from the store, even the expensive brands. Thank you!
Useful video thank you :)… with a bonus smile bought to my face whilst watching and hearing your lovely children, they sound ADORABLE 🥰😍, God bless them
Try shaking it like a maraca up and down while holding the top down with one hand and the bottom with the other hand, that's how I do grinding peppers in my coffee/spice grinder to get a finer grind.
So it’s not just me who uses coffee grinder for spices. Was thinking to grind wheat or barley & came across your video.. good one & thanks for the demo 👍🙂
I have my dad's French-made coffee & spice mill then acquired two more so I didn't carry over residue from the previous food product. Most are tough to clean thoroughly.
I have a new unused Nutribullet with a milling blade, but I'm pretty terrified of it, I hate how it has no buttons and you seem to have to twist it slightly to make it operate! If you twist it the wrong way, it could be lethal!
Thank you very much for this information I'm about where you're at don't have a meal but I do have a coffee grinder and I have a and just so I'll have to try both and see how mine come out. Blessings!
I had a great stone wheat grinder for more than 30 years but I gave it away shortly before the pandemic because Trader Joe's was selling a nice whole wheat. I wanted more room in my kitchen. But then Trader Joe's stopped selling it. I bought wheat berries during the pandemic. My spice grinder didn't grind it fine enough for baking. I even bought a hand grinder. It was no better. But I'm wondering, perhaps I just need to mix the roughly ground grains with liquid and let it sit for awhile. Maybe that will soften it enough for baking a muffin or biscuit. Anybody else try this?
@@moniquem783 Sorry. Not yet. I did make a patty with some. I fried it. (Rarely fry.) It came out as a cross between seitan and bread. My husband liked it.
Use a fine sifter to get the excess chunks or coarse pieces

Thank you for your video. I will use a coffee grinder before investing in a grain mill.

Thank you for the demonstrations!! You just saved me time and money:)
You are welcome! And thanks for watching and commenting!
Neat! I have that exact coffee grinder and that exact nutribullet. I'll definitely be doing this, thanks!
Perfect--was looking to see if a coffee grinder would work to make flours. Thank you!!!
You are welcome!
Can they blend buckweat seeds? And can they blend it with water?
Did you make bread with any of the resulting flours?
Hi , which model of Nutrilbullet and how many watts is the model
What kind of coffee grinder do you have
FYI, the newer nutribullets do not come with two blades.
Oh good to know. Thanks for sharing!
@@thesustainablemama I have tried the single blade and it does a good job too for brown rice flour
Ok cool thanks! This will be helpful for other viewers to read!

Your welcome! Happy grinding!

Maybe if you fill more wheat in the nutri bullet you have a more similar result to the coffee grinder in less time and less energy
thank you!!!

What about just using the regular blade?
@buckeyelady65 Blades are not good for grinding hard grains it chips the blade and you can digest the tiny pieces of metal. Is dangerous
@@romygime5822And if you're using oatmeal?
@@romygime5822 Oh, and what if you're using a smoothie maker?

great video!
Great content ! Thank you so much and Blessings !!!
Thanks for this.
Did you cook your wheat before grinding ?
No I don’t. I soak and then dry. I do use very low heat to dry though.
Lovely but what if you don't have electricity in an emergency.
Good idea to have a decent Solar Battery generator or gas generator handy.
Manual half decent Coffee grinder, one loaf worth of grains at a time!
thankyou!!!!!
