I always love your honesty in your reviews whether people like it or now you always have to give your opinion on what you're feeling when hitting whatever you're playing with.
Thank you for taking the time to make and share this test of the G400Max and G410 Drivers. It was an honest evaluation. I am considering a G400Max and this definitely helped me with my decision. Play well!
I love my G400 Max. Much longer than my previous driver (Mizuno). Also, continuously surprising me how far/straight poor drives go.... most forgiving club ever!
Hi Andy, I'm still playing the ping G. I have tried quite a few drivers against it and I can't fine any significant difference. I'm waiting to try the f9 and TS2 if they don't beat it then it stays in the bag for another 12 months.. Abama one of my all time favourite courses...pricey but worth it.
I tried G400 Max with expectation it would suit me well, but I could not middle it. Swing felt off balance. The G400 LST on other hand was one that had very good results, and felt comfortable almost immediately. Guess that's why they make both.
I'm late to the G400 Max party, as I finally purchased one. I hated the dragonfly top, so I tried the G410+ first. My results were similar to Andy's - no comparison really. The G400 Max is the most forgiving driver ever and as a result. is consistency longer. (I'm the real "average golfer," as I think Any is more of a "better than average golfer!")
I'm playing the G400 Max and it is 30 yards longer than my G30. I'm 63 5' 9" 153 lbs. Ping knows how great it is. Look at the price they still charge. Worth every penny.
Love your channel & what a course . Love playing Abama .. I use the 400 max & still find it a great club to use for my level . Not the easiest course you’ve played there .
Very little difference and some solid drives there Andy . . . . next generation clubs are probably targeting the older models for upgrade. Course looks lovely 👍
Andy i demoed new ping, cobra and Tmade m6 but ended up with callaway epic flash sub zero. Epic blew them all away for me but it's all down to a good fitting. Best driver I've ever hit in my opinion and I'm currently playing original epic and it's head and shoulders above that.
Good review Andy, I just purchased a G400 max, gave me solid hits and tight dispersion. Today here in my part of Canada it's -7 C and 48 km winds and very jealous of your surroundings.
A big thanks Andy for a good test you put together again! Like you said - when previous model seems to work excellent why bother.. makes my life a lot easier to choose from 🤟
thx again for the review. BTW have you compare the MAX vs LST?. I am using MAX but with very high ball flight..a pain again wind. BUt down wind is a bomber, getting like 40 yards more. Wonder I shd try the LST to get lower ball flight. Also wondwer whether I could get more distance with LST. I am averaging about 250 yds with MAX (PING TOUR 65 Stiff shaft). HC 6 age 60
Nice review of the ping drivers Andy, I am in the market for a new driver( I have a old 913 ) it's going to be between the ping g400 max and the cobra f9 so would love to see them go head to head, keep up the good work.
Hard to compare head to head results unless you have a scratch golfer who swings the same every time or you use a robot or you hit 100 balls with each and take the means. There is just too much variability based on swing and strike.
Hi Andy, at the range last night spraying my Taylor made SLDR everywhere!!!! I borrowed my eldest son Michael's G400 max and hit my last 6 balls straight as a die !!! Love it , want a G400 max, it's like cheating 😁😁ps : you remind me of the bad man in Corrie? Pat Phillan 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love my Max driver. One of the Best purchases I have ever done. Great review. Really appreciated it. Could you please do an on course review of the new Crossover?
g400 max for me is massive and straight, beat my old driver by 30 yards, won't be swapping it for a long time, new stuff is just hype, don't spend your hard earned money, pick up a g400 max you won't regret it
@@TheAverageGolfer Thanks for clarifying. I'm still using my G30 driver! Had a fitting for G400 drivers last summer and could only squeeze an average of 2 yards extra!
@@TheAverageGolfer Tried the G400 and G400 Max in a variety of lofts and shafts. Nice clubs but on the day not enough difference to justify the spend. Shall try the G410 soon.
Strange, Rick Sheils had different results. He hit the G 410 Plus further than the G 400 Max. Interesting results. But, thats how this stuff works. Not an exact science and results can very from user to user. Spider Dubiel
@@TheAverageGolfer Hehe can imagine that would be a challenge for most golfers, I am a mid handicaper currently playing a Cobra F8+ and seeking something that will offer me improved forgiveness combined with decent distance. Seems like 2019 is just an amazing year for drivers and I I will head into my local club fitter to go through all the combinations to see what compliments my swing best. Will be interesting to hear which driver The Average Golfer ends up with in his bag for 2019.
Comparing clubs with an inconsistent swing seems a bit of a waste of time. Think the opinion from someone that has a more consistent swing will give us a better idea of what these clubs can do.
This is one review that I've really wanted to see as the G400 Max really took my interest to replace my Ping Anser. With the new model coming out I wanted to see if all the hype from last year about the G400 Max (I've also tried it at the range on a fitting and loved it) held up and if the G410 brought anything new. After the first two strikes I was Re sold on the G400 as it clearly showed a massive difference which is also what I found on the fitting day but then for the sake of one ropey shot your telling us that 'there's not really much difference' and then cut the review short??!! Smells like someone doesn't want to upset 'Ping' for the sake of being honest... If that's the case then the reviews are pointless.... Rick Sheils wouldn't have chickened out like that!!
dogsarefun2 Adama is a great golf course. Be prepared for a lot of 3 putts the first time you play, the greens can be very fast. Hotel is nice, but pricey.
Summary at 7:00 on the video timer. Great video. Love these new "and improved" comparisons.

You should give the shaft model, flex, loft on clubs your reviewing.... My swing speed is similar to yours and it would be helpful to know the info.

Tried the g425max today and the 410 a year ago. Still hit the g400 max straighter and longer
Glad ive seen this after buying a G400 max just before the G410 release! Great Vid... wish i was golfing in Tenerife at the minute!
nice vid - thank you
I like you are not switching my G400max any time soon
Have you used the same shafts on both models? I was just curious on the details. Thanks

Did you get fitted for the 410 or was it stock and were you fitted for the 400 max

Got fitted for g40p max on Saturday. Love it, haven’t bought as hoping will drop in price when 410 released. You think this will happen?
Dont think so as they are keeping it in the line up
Try Sheffield pro golf, they have G400 max for £299.99 if you know your spec it’s £50 saving
Brett Clarke thanks. 👍
What about the G410 Plus?
Fairer comparison?
Bob Puls it wasn’t out when this video was filmed Bob 👍
Beautiful course Andy. I wouldn't switch if I were you either. Hope you played well.
Lovely place Abama more to come from here
Puuuh, i love my G400 max and for what i can see it stays in the bag, tanx again for a great vid!!
Per Ström me too!
nice course. you should try the TS2. I'm not sure what driver i'm going to get lol.
If you didn’t have the 400 max would you have bought the 410?
What shafts and lofts is he using?

The crossover review will be up o Thursday Thomas
What's the g410 like for forgivness?-that was what the major selling point for the g400 was.
Nice review as ever Andy, despite all the hype I'm pretty sure that the MAX will be staying in my Bag.

Paul Reay what club did you switch from?
Nice comparison Andy. Have you been fitted for the G410 in the same way you have for the G400?
I have the same shaft in both but perhaps there are better head/shaft combinations in the G410

My take is, it takes a few rounds to get used to any club, so to compare you're driver against another is a tad unfair on the other.
I think if i felt I had performed poorly with either I would agree but I hit both drivers as good as I can to be honest Stuart
Great review, I hit the G400 better then the G400 Max.
Think it just differs person to person really, all about feel.
Good honest review as usual. Not heard anything to to make me what to change my max!! #fairwayfinder

How about a head to head Cobra F9 vs G410 vs M6?

Think I’ll stick with my g400 lst, and spend some money on lessons. 🤔
Yes agreed
G400 MAX ALL DAY STRAIGHTS BROTHER
Only thing that let’s ping down is looks imo.
I am not the biggest fan of the crown either Anthony
The g410 is a step down in looks in my opinion
Nice head to head, cheers 🍻
cheers Chris
Likely best to spend your money on some lessons. Clubs won’t matter with that golf swing.
