I had all my birds die a couple of years ago . Don’t have the time at the moment to fly.just breed and send to races.they don’t get mixed with other birds. They just started dying like every other day.
Hi Frank, from South Africa, on giving the Amoxicillin 500mg, for how long can you give the full capsule, i had for three years in a row where i lost most of my best birds. I statred mixing cinnamon, brewest yeast and moringa powder over the food mixed with kerif milk. Aslo what can i give for bird with twisted necks to recover. Thank Sir
Hello, I am a fan of your channel. You can mix food with (carob and garlic oil) or (thyme and onion seeds) and apple sidr in water. Powerful ingredients, tested.
Only saw this today. Don't know how I missed it, but wishI hadn't! All great advice. It's worth mentioning that ARPU did a video with Ed Minnieville on the subject and he mentioned the importance of using complex acidifiers as the best way to combat Adenovirus. My own experience suggests that's true.
Hi Frank yes very good advice I am going to get some Amoxocylin too. My birds are all looking good now I lost 6 of my birds few months back as I had already posted here! Sad seeing good birds die so fast. :-( Thanks again Frank great video m8t.
Hi Frank I am from Ireland had trouble last year birds died got in touch with Avian pigeon poultry specifics.Radionicic & Natural Products no antibiotics in there products great stuff got the birds back to 100 per mick.
Do you think by keeping the oregano and acv has a regular water schedule that helps combat it? I am going to start vaccines for adino now for sure. Could this be related to thePMV outbreaks that are happening. Heard a few people talking about it mostly overseas
Not sure if this is related to the PMV out breaks but vaccinating for PMV ramps up the birds immune system to be able to fight a virus. I feel the Oregano will certainly help. Anything that combats a bad bacteria from taking hold is a good thing. I have a new product to promote and it contains oregano and cinnamon. Best on the market and you only use 1ml to the gallon. I will do a video this week.
Hello Frank. Not long subscribed to your channel. Have been involved in pigeon racing since the late sixties, but have been away for some time. Looking to get back into the sport and I am wondering if you have or intend to publish a book on your extensive knowledge regarding the world of pigeon racing. It would be greatly appreciated by the young and old fanciers at large plus an ecouraging tool to youngsters to be introduced to the sport.
Hi Frank I'm following your system pigeo s look and feel great bit a friend keeps telling me if I dont feed eny maiz my birds will have brittle flights and they will break please answer and settle my mind thanks
That is a new one for me. Do not worry about brittle flights or them breaking. Maize is one of my least favorite grains. That is an old wives tale passed between fanciers. Your pigeons will be fine.
Great advice I’ve been hit with Adeno 3 times in my lifetime with fancy exhibition pigeons and lost hundreds of birds. It’s a sad thing to walk to one end of the loft and come back to the other side and see the bird dead. Adeno 1 and 2 is vicious. I had birds that were right next to some who had it and were never affected. Many birds were vaccinated in the past but not every one and not every year. Adeno will go through your loft and take what it wants and move out. I tried everything with no luck. Now having racing pigeons again it’s very important to vaccinate even though there’s no guarantee of survival but at least you know in your heart that you did the right thing for the birds. Adeno will stick to your clothes and travel to other lofts that are not affected yet but will hit them as well. Adeno once in the area is almost like airborne and will take what it wants and be gone in like 2-3 weeks of my own experience. I dont wish this on my worst enemy and feel terrible for all the losses. Many times it will take your prize birds ☹️ Thanks Frank
Sad to see this but this is what happens and can happen. It does move through the loft and kill and then usually stops. Just terrible. You explained your experience well and hope others do not have to see the same.
Some take a long time and once they start all is well. It is still early in the year but if they have been mated for months maybe give them fertile eggs to raise a set of babies to kick their hormones in. I would also vaccinate two times a week for three weeks with a good salmonella vaccine.
A friend of mine just lost 17 hens and 3 cocks with in a few day's of each other all old birds he thought it was pmv he said none showed been sick came out to the loft and they were dead over night
Hey Frank does the PMV and other vaccines come with a list of ingredients in the packaging or on the bottle? I have looked online and can't find anything if you have the ingredients list and can post a picture that would be awesome I am doing some research on the matter. Also I believe you said that you get Pigeon breeders lung The chills and the fever that sets in after a few hours after being in the loft without a mask? I use to get that but found a cure/prevention for it that also gets rid of your allergies/ hay fever it's an all natural cure, just a simple mineral that you don't get enough of in your diet/ or your body uses it up faster than you consume it= mineral deficiency
Hello, I have been lucky and my lungs are fine and I do not have a reaction to the birds. I do wear a respirator mask at all times when working with the birds. I started this about 6 years ago. Do not want to do damage to my lungs. I have been around birds my entire life. If you email me I can send photos of the vaccine bottles. Frank@McLaughlinLofts.com
@@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons Glad to hear your lungs are good and you don't get the reaction I just take Natrum Muriaticum (Sodium Chloride/table salt) tablets a few times a week in the 3x 6x and 200x potencies it builds up the vascular walls so irritants can't get into your bloodstream through your eyes, sinuses and lung tissues and cause allergic reactions it's one of the main ingredients in the Virkon S that you give your birds. Its an old Biochemic cure You might enjoy reading a book called "The Biochemic System of Medicine" by Dr. George Carey it is a reprint of an old book, they use to cure everything with these 12 simple cell tissue salts back before Rockefeller took over the medical industry
I had one hen in a section on poles living with 8 other hens 2 months ago i noticed one hen was not right i placed her in a nest box treated her and then placed her back in the section with the other 8 hens after 10 days . 2 weeks ago i noticed the same hen was not right did not treat her and 3 days later she was dead . None of the other hens showed any symptoms of any sickness and have all raised a round of youngsters and are either on second round youngsters or eggs . It is baffling to why this has happened i know without looking at my book in the last 12 months i have had 4 pigeons die and when checking them over they are full bodied good droppings and were perfectly healthy leading up to the day of them die . All those 4 pigeons flew 4000+ km as ybs training and racing a full program out to 530km . I am glad this subject has come up because i was doing a lot of head scratching as to why in the last 12 months i had those 4 which seemed perfectly healthy pigeons die .
@@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons only one pigeon died none of the others showed any symptoms of sickness they have all reared 10/10 ybs . I wonder why only one pigeon was affected at the time they were separated and not under any stress .
That is rough to hear. How old are the babies when they are dying? I would be vaccinating the breeders regularly for salmonella. What are you using for nesting material?. Could the babies be slowly poisoned or something in the nesting material killing them?
Sorry I wrote that incorrectly, I've lost 3ybs at roughly 12 days old, what's the best vaccine for salmonella ? I'm using nest felts and straw which is from a pet store
This happens occasionally. KM1 Salmonella vaccine is excellent. You can give to your breeders two times. It will make a difference., Most likely no other babies will die. If the nest pads come from a good source in Belgium they should be just fine.
Health is so important. Even if a young bird sickness affects 20% of the young birds the healthy ones will have much higher percentage of losses even if they showed no symptoms.
Sir perfect info. I’ve been through this and amoxicillin is the best
Good to hear it helped.
Great information indeed 😊
Thank you for another great video.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video, Frank. Great to know ehat is, and is not possible with adeno.

Frank, yes, my thought was to put Avian Oregano jn the water. Would that be better than Virkon S?
Both should help the pigeons. Not sure about what would be best. My new Oregano product can be used all the time.

Awesome Frank could I ask you, where can I acquire this vaccine. Better to be prepared than not having if ever it comes up. Thanks
I buy everything from Global Pigeon Supplies. You must call them.

Yup , exactly how it happened. Pigeons apocalypse. Completely healthy birds.
Thankfully, no, I've never had this. And hopefully I don't see it in the future. Thanks for the heads up on what to look for.
Fingers crossed!
What’s the new oregano product?
I will do a video soon with insight and how to order.

i called two of the vaccine suppliers i know, and both said they only have the "standard pmv vaccine" that i got... where do i get this vaccine???
Try Global Pigeon Supply.
