Every time there's an incident like this, the individual victim of course will forever distrust and despise police, but so will many family members friends, neighbors, and even viewers like us who see this as perhaps the final straw.
I am a caregiver for my mother with dementia. She denies she has it. And she frequently tells everyone that I abuse and threaten her. My sister has been warning me for years that this going to happen to me. She and my other siblings have cut off all contact with her.
@pas, Sad to say but might be time to put her ina a home, my friend had to do that her mom was getting bad and dangerous, threatening stab them and she would accuse m y friend and her family of doing stuff they didnt, so they had to put her ina home
That happened to a coworker. Youngest of many full and half siblings, he and his wife are mom's primary care. Mom tells the daytime watcher that they beat her. Mandatory reporting, but the day watcher put in her report "I've seen no bruises, marks or other indication of the injuries she claims." Granny-snatcher from the state investigated and finally cleared them. Took several months.
Sheesh, and cops wonder why people hate them so much. As a law-abiding American, with no criminal record, one of my biggest fears is the police. I have elderly parents and I'm afraid police would do something like this to my mom or dad. I'm sorry, but I just can't respect them when they do things like this.
They really do hire thugs and goons to be cops. Even us normies know you perform due diligence inorder to avoid situations like these. But what do they care, it's not their paychecks that are being used to pay for this crap!!!

When has there ever been an individual charged for making a false call to the police? I've seen video of an individual being physically assaulted while an officer is present and no charges, because the officer,"Didn't see anything." I am a caregiver for my mother with dementia. She denies she has it. And she frequently tells everyone that I abuse and threaten her. My sister has been warning me for years that this going to happen to me. She and my other siblings have cut off all contact with her.
Don't answer the door.
You are in danger. You should start getting yourself out of danger immediately.
@pas, Sad to say but might be time to put her ina a home, my friend had to do that her mom was getting bad and dangerous, threatening stab them and she would accuse m y friend and her family of doing stuff they didnt, so they had to put her ina home
You'd benefit from using a body cam.
Same thing that happened to Senior Airman Roger Fortson false call except the jumpy cop shot him with a full magazine.
It a gov authorized gang.
100%
Sheesh, and cops wonder why people hate them so much. As a law-abiding American, with no criminal record, one of my biggest fears is the police. I have elderly parents and I'm afraid police would do something like this to my mom or dad. I'm sorry, but I just can't respect them when they do things like this.
“Back the Blue until it happens to you”… or something like that.
Boy thse cops lied through their teeth
They really do hire thugs and goons to be cops. Even us normies know you perform due diligence inorder to avoid situations like these. But what do they care, it's not their paychecks that are being used to pay for this crap!!!
It's because they do not care about the public. They want yes men. Most people they deal with are victims because either their victims are criminals, or they are people who do not understand the law and how to deal with cops. They're used to getting away with it...until they get caught. never trust them.
I am so sick of tax payer money having to be used to bail out cops instead of social programs we need.
A classic case of "Back the Blue until it happens to you".
Is this how these violent thugs would treat their OWN grandfather???
probably.
@@ianbattles7290 definitely. google "40% of police..."
well, it has not happen to me, as of yet, but, I have lost faith in the cops as well as he
Job requirement for today’s police today… “Must be able to lie with ease.”
Back the blue until it happens to you.
Dispatcher: what is the emergency?
Wife: My husband shot me the head!
Dispatcher: You're speaking really calm and lucid with being shot in the head. /s
Wife: ....
Man: WtF? Who is banging on my door?......ahhhh, smash, smothered, handcuffed.
Cops: Get the dude in the bathrobe he might be armed!
Wife: sits calmly IN FRONT of officers who think the man just shot her in the head.
Lawyers: cha Ching $
Taxpayers: WtF?!
The rest of us: Shake our heads.
Sounds like a Three Stooges stunts
Shameful. Shameful what they did, and shameful that the officer lied on bodycam when he was questioned about the use of force.
Wonder how many of his reports were lied in ? You lie one time in court and everything you said previous and after is unbelievable. This cop just says whatever will justifie his actions.
That's another case of earnings the hate
There is NO WAY I would have settled for $ 245,000!
If you need blanket immunity to do your job you're not the good guys.
The police involved should have been fired and criminally charged.
Every cop lies. Every cop lies. Every cop lies. Every cop lies.
They are trained to.
they are of their father the devil, not your friend
This lawsuit should of been in the millions. Really only $250 thousand. This is an other slap in the face
$250k seems awfully low for a settlement. I wonder if the deal was made so the wife wouldn’t be charged with making a false call to the police.
SHE DIED BEFORE THE LAW SUIT. IN THE REPORT THEY SAID SHE DIED A COUPLE MONTHS AFTER THIS HAPPENED.
its the easy way out. His wife died and he doesn't have a lot of years left either. The lawyers were willing to draw this out to wait for him to expire. They do it all the time. The auto industry did it to the guy who invented windshield wipers. They use this tactic all the time.
When has there ever been an individual charged for making a false call to the police? I've seen video of an individual being physically assaulted while an officer is present and no charges, because the officer,"Didn't see anything." Heard FOIA request calls to 911 and the caller lies about a person to get the police to respond, Heard callers state a person was carrying a weapon, they were not, to get a quicker response from the police. NO ONE CHARGED WITH ANYTHING.
@@pasquesIf he died before the law suit finished, his estate would replace him in the suit. The case still moves forward, it doesn't end just because he died.
The thing is his attorneys probably got around $100k so he was probably left with only around $150k.
This is absolutely disgraceful 😮
The police departments across the country have a problem. Personaly I think they hire to many veterans who have PTSD. They can't ingage the public without violence. More screening needed prior to hiring.
It's always been like this. Cities just don't have the budget to attract the top few guys in their graduating class. And those guys don't want to carry a gun into a bad neighborhood, anyway. So, what they're left with is the sociopaths, narcissists, and others who tend toward violence as their fallback position.
I've been saying this for years, but the problem is, those departments want them because they will follow every order. Same government lapdog, just a different leash.
Do not get me wrong. We need a strong police force, but we don't need pre-existing conditions.
Yet another example of how you can be assaulted by the police *even if you didn't do anything wrong.*
Not near enough!! In another video it said one of the officers saw his wife walking by a window upstairs!
@sue, she came out and was sitting infront of them, her husband says why did you call them and she says I thought you shot me, I mean she could have got him killed
@@paulettebarrow9791 I know that; my point is IF it's true that a cop saw her in an upstairs window how could he have shot her in the head?!
@@suetilston8733 Exactly this was such bs
Louisville police have been out of control for quite some time.
Probably the most notorious gang in the entire region. It's well known.
71 years old ~ And his eyes are finally opened. Now the Lord God can see the man!!!.
I'm 61 and that would have killed me. Head injury
They would have got away with it.
Should have sued for 2 million...
Sad.
Internal Investigation is CODE for sweeping the DIRT under the carpet.
250k ? That's absurd.
Filing a false Police report is a felony. What DA will dare to do it? None.
“I can’t breathe” . . . Sounds familiar.
At least the poor soul survived.
That's what happens when you're thrown down on bricks. Or when you take too much fentanyl. George Floyd didn't die until he was in the hospital. The knee on his neck had nothing to do with his death. He died of an overdose. This all came out in the trial, but the media chose not to talk about it.
$250,000 seems like a low amount, even for a settlement. He will probably have to pay at least half that to his attorney(s).
Y'all catching on now?.........
I’m 63 and a disabled army veteran. I don’t get around very well and this is one of my biggest fears. I cannot comply very well due to my physical limitations, even though I look big and strong. If they did not give me a few seconds to explain I could be on the ground like that gentleman was.
Everyone of those involved needs to be sent to prison.
