Coming from a heal scourge main this is a good guide. One thought, I prefer to run ritual of life over overflowing thirst because eternal life already gives me unlimited life force to spam shade skills. Doubly so if you run signet of undeath. The free well of blood on pickup can be extremely valuable to get the person back up quicker as well as provide additional healing to those nearby while you are busy rezzing. I also usually prefer well of blood to sand flare to be more evenly spread between barrier and healing and because it gives a ranged healing option along with already being able to drop a shade and provide barrier at range. Also you may be overcapping boon duration with runes of water over monk and using sigil of concentration. Personal preferences but i felt like they were worth mentioning to anyone new to the build.
This and also the fact that without torch might uptime may be lacking. If you really want to run this build with a staff you should sacrifice warhorn offhand.

This build is not meant for solo open world gameplay. So if you want to kill champions, it's best if you have other players with you to help with the damage. This build is best used in group content like Fractals, Strikes, and Raids. It's also good for open world metas and similar situations

If you want to use it as a healing build for metas and such, then sure it will work great. But if you want to use it as a solo open world build for your own, it will probably not be a good idea. How is this build for open world. Can you outheal champions solo or do you need a dps next to this and travel with a small group?

It works perfectly fine with exotic! You really only need ascended for high level fractals
