- I do not like Dokkan, however as time goes on I have been educated on and grown to develop an appretiation for it's visuals which cannot be denied! In this 50 minute special I saw some of the BEST the game has to offer!

ITS FINALLY HERE SORRY FOR THE DELAY! This is the best one yet so make sure you like, comment and subscribe and tell me what else I should see. Got done with the first step of the big surprise so i'll let you guess what it is.

15:12 (i forgot the specific time stamp) its either a passive (basically if the condition is met BEFORE attacking or collecting any ki orbs then it will automatically transform after something happens or a condition is met) or a active skill when a condition is met (also standbys but there are like 5 of those in the game)

With the ss3 goku and ss2 vegeta, they have a standby skill, where it goes into base vegeta for 5 turns. Depending on how many ki orbs you get will determine which finish you get. Under 45 orbs is the ko with vegeta and Hercule. With 45 or more, you get the super saipan goku. The more orbs you get, the more damage the spirit bomb does. It is one of the top 3 hardest hitting attacks I the game
The move where blue gogeta does the pose from the art is called mateor explosion
something you need to know about the video: they are not all from 2020, the animations actually started in 2018 in the video, with the 4th anniversary (2019) coming shortly after with the lr SSJ4 goku and lr SSJ4 vegeta
Another thing about the Blue Gogeta and Vegeto is that the game servers actually crashed when they came out, and when the servers came back online, they had to limit the amount people that were allowed to play at one time so it wouldn't happen again.

Well im glad u got the two fusions! I been a waitin! Also, i remember someone saying in ur chat why isnt it at 2x speed. If you get in the game, most animations look better at 2x speed for some reason. You asked if some of these characters have been updated, the answer is that a lot of them have an extreme z awakening, which allows them to catch up to todays meta (most of the time). When you asked how characters transform, some of them do it on their own (mostly older characters) after a certain anount of turns pass or once they have done enough super attacks or dodged enough or have recieved enough attacks. Same for the active skill, but u can choose to activate it instead of doing it by itself.
The reason the animations look better at double speed is because they're made with double speed in mind. As most most people play the game like that.

15:09 There are two ways to transform: Passive transformations (they automatically activate after certain conditions are met) and Active Skill transformations (like you saw with the AGL SS4 Goku).

@@zero38xthi, a new transformation method came out recently with the ssj4 goku you saw, the one with uub where he defends him
The thing with dokkan and people asking for x2 speed on chat, is because since the game got x2, most of the animations where made to fit into that speed and look cool without missing the attack, so that's why regular speed looks lag on the more cinematic animations (it feels more like 0.5 and 1.5 speed than 1 and 2), they were made for x2 speed which is basically the default speed for most players.
Ah ok I’ve seen lots of people with differing opinions on the speed but the explanation as for the issues does make sense, thanks for this!
So if you didn't know yet: when the SSJ2 Vegeta and SSJ3 Goku go to "standby" (Its basically the same as active skill, just that it swaps into Vegeta defending Goku, so he can't attack) you have to collect orbs, and if you collect enough orbs, you get the version where goku transforms into a super saiyan, and if not, it's just the base form version. A cool detail about that is that the OSTs change depending on what finishing skill you got

Just to inform you, the metal cooler animations were from 2018. When you reacted to the goku black, you said he was from 2020, which is wrong (he's also from 2018).

31:17 basically for now only the blue fusions with their EZA,but that exact gohan you just saw is the exact reason an entire mechanic in the game became such a huge thing for the devs 😂😂,he was so good at release that even now without an EZA (upgrade units get after years) he is still usable,the mechanic is called "guard" and it basically means that you will have defensive advantage over the enemy no matter the type you are,this gohan has that for free with the hability to infinity stack his defense,that unit alone made every guard unit have restrictions or things like "50% chance to guard"

@@zero38xt Yeah,that Gohan was so good that people say when he gets an EZA they will give him basically nothing 😂,and even with the minimun he will probably be strong
Just so you have an Idea of how strong he was,lets say at the time 300K defense was basically the "Good for everything", this Gohan had around 200K right away,and he atacks 50% defense FOREVER,every atack he gets 50% defense again and again and again,and because of the guard he didnt had disavantage agains anyone,this guy alone made them basically restrict or make RNG based guard units because they dont want a case like him again 😂,even now 3 whole years later this guy performs better than some recent units
@@zero38xtthere was recently a new style of boss fights where the difficulty spiked and invalidated all the units before the 7th anniversary but most of the units in this video got ezas making them usable again with the blue fusions, the transforming zamasu and the transforming trunks being some of the best units at the moment including characters releasing now
@@zero38xt45:12 the swipe down is whats called a standby where you get orbs to charge something and or have another character take over and defend (for this unit vegeta cannot attack and all the orbs you gather go into the spirit bomb and if you don’t get enough you get the first animation and if you go over the needed amount you get the super saiyan version)

That gogeta is now almost 4 years old and he still probably has the best animations in the game. It's crazy what they did with him

your reactions to Gogeta and Vegetto are funny, but imagine us back then ! 😂 the year before, at the 4th Anniversary, we had Goku SSJ4 and Vegeta SSJ4, and we were like "OMG the SSJ4 are so beautiful"... but look at this insane glow up of going from Goku and Vegeta to THAT MASTERCLASS ! 😍 we were crazy ! and the best part is that even 4 years later these animations are still god tier, and even more with the new OST they've added when they upgraded the cards last year 🥵
(you forgot the active skill of GokuSSJB & VegetaSSJB from the Tournament of Power, it's neither an attack nor an transformation that's why, but the AS and the OST are dope)

The only thing we don't have from namek goku is an active or intro skill of him turning super saiyan for the first time. Which is crazy when you think about it
From the 2020 units a few of them are still usable due to eza which pretty much is a double awakening of old units as a way to make them usable in the current meta,The zamasu that turn into merged zamasu and black is amazing, so is the blue gogeta and blue vegito and a few more

Man, i dont know why but, i just love the 8th anniversary ssj3 Goku and ssj2 Vegeta (their attacks are so clean + they K.O screen it's perfect nostalgia)
Edit: the only things they actually screwed up with them was the music, Because the Ost that plays in the beginning of the video actually isn't from them but from another Goku and Vegeta and they just used because why not

Each transformation has its own set of conditions also that Blue Gogeta move is called Meteor Explosion

So, the 8th anniversary units were the first to introduce standby skills. With the Ssj3 Goku/Ssj2 Vegeta, you need to grab ki spheres to charge the spirit bomb, finish attack 1 occurs if you get 20-29 spheres, finish attack 2(Thank you DragonBalls!!) occurs at 30+ spheres obtained.
The other 8th anniversary(the GT bros), their standby is a transformation that gives a revival(nu-uh)
Love you videos, I also think you should look at art work from this game because some art work has animation

Also about Goku/Vegeta 8th:
The swipe down is a standby skill, you have to charge the spirit bomb while popping bubbles, the more you pop the better the spirit bomb is and you have to launch it before 5 turns.
If you have enough, Goku will go SSJ but if you don't have enough he won't.
Also you missed a K.O screen for them for their 12 ki animation (Yeah they have a K.O screen for EVERY ATTACKS they can do and I don't know why)
Also people or you should watch Dokkan world for reacting to units, Dokkan World usually show everything the character can do in a single video

Tbh if I were you, I wouldn't go back any further. If I remember correctly, that Metal Cooler in the video was the first unit to get "woah, this is actually pretty decent" animations and the regular Cooler was the first to get "WOAH, THIS IS LITERALLY THE MOVIE" animations. Everything before them is pretty much the dokkan you remember

In terms of which game takes more time to make a character (this doesn't really answer the question but...) we were told by the producers that they start working on a celebration about 6 months before they go live in game, which might give you an idea of how much planning they do beforehand when it comes to Dokkan celebrations.
Also to explain the 8 year buu saga LR, they have two finish skills for their standby, one for if you activate the finish skill with their ki meter at full charge and one for when it isn't fully charged.

It's a shame you only saw the super attack animations, if you continue like this you will miss MANY animations (intro, active skill, transformations, standy, etc)
I added transformations later in the video but comments have let me know other stuff was still missed. There’s always room to have these things included in another video so don’t worry!

Basically to change the standby attacks you have to charge it by collecting ki orbs. So if you launch the standby skill early it wont be as powerful and will have a different animation then when its ready
for the question on how units transform, some do it automatically after a certain amount of turns, and most have a manual activation

what you saw, swiping down is a standby skill, when swipe down goku will start charging the spirit bomb, but it takes time ence there are a few turn of standby where vegeta won't attack, but is a defensive wall, if you charge it over a certain threshold he will transform into ssj, if you can't reach the threshold he can still do the spirit bomb but without transforming
45:35 So you already know about active skills, transformations, and revives; Dokkan recently added another skill called Standby, where some characters temporarily transform and you need to complete some sort of condition to do the second part of the skill (which changes per character, the Buu saga duo needs you to get enough ki (pop enough bubbles) to fill up a bar and if it isn't filled you get the first animation)
And then we got Domains with the newest characters, Fused Zamasu and later Future Gohan, which basically give a buff to the whole team

As a content creator I'd tell you playing Dokkan would do wonders for your channel but as a guy to another guy I'd say do whatever you wanna do, it won't be fun for the viewers if the content creator isn't enjoying themselves.

Very true. I’ve tried to avoid posting exclusively dokkan for that exact reason, i know part of the enjoyment is seeing someone who dislikes the game try / be impressed by it but watching DB stuff in general is what I enjoy most

just to tell the characters like the vegeta that was in super saiyajin and then his next transformations came out to the super saiyajin blue that was a transfoming character and some of them transform after a few turns or by active skill
The swipe down is for "Standby skills", not many units have these but often times they swap out the units temporarily, for the 8th anniversary units you swap out from the duo into just Vegeta (vegeta and the hybrids for GT) During that standby phase you need to fulfil certain requirements in that time to trigger a "final attack", for the Buu duo Vegeta requires you to generate 30+ orbs to charge Goku's spirit bomb, the two different animations are dependent on how many orbs you collected, and for the GT duo the only requirement is to die, which is easily done as GT Vegeta does not have any defensive buffs whereas Buu Vegeta stacks damage reduction for every orb he collects.

Facts
45:13 so the unit activate a standby skill and you pop bubbles for up to 5 turns. During that time if you popped more then 39 bubbles it becomes the super spirit bomb. If you somehow couldn’t pop 39 bubbles or more during the 5 turns or you throw the bomb early then you get the weaker spirit bomb where Goku doesn’t go super saiyan.
My friend you need to see the LR Int SSJ 4 Goku that came out in this game. Probably some of the cleanest animations you will see in this game.

About characters being updated. Usually, when they release some units that have been released in the past, but had very basic animations, they give those new versions new animations. However, there has been two characters in the game that had their animations straight up replaced by an updated one.
The first one is LR INT Gohan SSJ2. His Ultra Super Attack (which is a Father-Son Kamehameha) has had its second half completely redone. Originally, it used his card art, which was just being zoomed in to emulate him walking towards the screen. Nowadays, he actually has a walk animation, and the art for the walk has been redrawn.
The other character that got an animation revamp was LR AGL Majin Vegeta. Originally, his Super Attack (which is the Atomic Blast, or Final Impact) used the game's basic ass sprites, just like you used to remember the game. Now, it has been completely redone and looks closer to how it looks in the anime (just with some alternate angles).
That 5th anniversary LR TEQ Vegito also got a very small update for one thing. At 19:32 you can see his close-up, and he has an extra bang on his forehead that should not be there. This has been fixed, and now he has his signature two bangs, instead of three.
Part of me misses LR Gohans bouncing png animation
Yeah, with most of these units that transform, the best part about them is the transformation animations. They are usually one to one with the show, and sometimes look competitive different to their super animations

Man, you should have been there when the 5th anniversary Blue Fusion got their EZA during the 8th anniversary where they became top 3 and got brand new osts.
They deserve all the hype and praise they looked fantastic
Dokkan is unstoppable when they adapt movie quality animations (and for that matter create their own original animations)

45:05 The standby skills for units like ssj2 vegeta and ssj3 goku need like 39 or more ki orbs collected in 5 turns after the spirit bomb gets ready initially the more orb we collect the more damage we do which can go till 50 as well this will the super saiyan transformed K.O but if we use the spirit bomb before we reach 39 or 38 and less with orb collecting we get the HERCULE KO screen
the same applies with LR INT SSJ4 Goku in which he wont transform if the required condition is not met, But the best part is we get TWO DIFFERENT BUT SIMILAR OSTs for both the finish skills of spirit bomb
for the 8th anniversary's goku vegeta spirit bombs 1 and 2, it depends on how much orbs you collected in 5 turns, it's a different kind of skill, the passive skill
I have no clue who the 9th anniversary units will be, but they will be awesome
