The obj 140 was my first tier 10 tank ever, it holds a special place in my heart But the fact that the t62a is pretty much an upgraded version (minus the upper plate) of the 140 makes me really sad :(
AnInfiniteStorm exact same position where I’m in. 140 was my first ever T10 and I was SOOOO happy I had accomplished getting a T10 but the reason why I got it and not the T-62 was simply because of gun depression and mobility, but now that was useless :(
Who was struggling in the tank before though? It had everything a good tank needed and still people can’t drive it properly? You’d think people would learn from the T54 and all of the other soviet style tanks at tier 8, guess not.
Umm... That's the thing, it isn't very similar to the T-54, it had 5 degrees of gun depression, a bigger profile, worse hull armour, and lower top speed. These things are essential to the T-54 and people can use it as a mobile shell blocker with the hull armour and the top speed. But with the T-62A, it doesn't have the same armour on the hull and hence its emphasis on using hulldown positions for 5 degrees of gun depression which isn't an easy thing to learn. The 140 however, gets very similar hull profile as the 54, same top speed with a better gun. So for a new player, it is easier to carry over their skills towards the 140 rather than to carry over their skills to the 62A.
None of those Russians are even remotely close to the way you used to play the t62a tho. T54 has the better armor tier for tier. Even the t44 has 7 degrees of gun depression that you could use to manipulate the armor. 62a was a long range support tank because that front plate won't bounce anything and there are not many places where you can go hull down with 5 degrees of gun depression.
The stupidly good gun handling and dpm more than make up for a slightly weaker upper glacis in my opinion. If you are angling your hull correctly in the first place the weak upper plate argument loses its meaning, players should’ve learnt that a couple of tiers ago leading to my original comment.
@@Magz215 In your opinion because you are a good player and have learnt the game and its fundamentals very quickly on the way to tier 10 unfortunately, not a lot of players are like you and the higher degree of forgiveness on the 54 comforts them as they travel up to tier 10 and hence they don't angle very well because of the higher degree of forgiveness on the 54 or 44 (It can easily block those lower tiers meds while the 62 can't)
Thats because its much harder to play than a T-54. A T54 has 120mm of hull armor for a tier 9 medium tank which is kind of ridiculous. T-62a has 100 mm at tier X which is almost useless armor (almost). T54 has 1 extra degree of gun depression and is probably the best Tier 9 medium tank in the game it might even be OP. Don't get me wrong imo i think the T-62a is best med at tier X too but its hard to play cuz its alfa is the lowest of the meds with the 140 (310 instead of 350) gun depression most meds have 9 or more this has 5.
In my second game in this tank after the buff, I won a game with 6k damage and killed 4 reds. My WR was 49, after the buff, its 76%! The tank is crazy good with the extra gun depression and the equipment layout Bushka suggested. Funny thing is that obj140 is now the worst medium in tier X! If I told you that 3 years ago, you would laugh at me and call me crazy!
Abdullah Everyone seems to forget about the FV4202.. no turret armour, no gun mantlet, huge cupola and slower than 140. If using Hesh gun then very minimal apcr pen 240/250 pen. The FV has been the worst medium in tier x for years now.
They broke the meds when they over buffed the WZ 1 broke 1. Too much alfa, too much dpm, too much armor. Wargaming what the hell are you doing Wargaming???? T62a is still best med in my opinion its just on par with Progetto atm and WZ 121 i would say the STB-1 is in the mix too. The reason why it needed the buff was because WZ 121 has almost the same DPM but has 420 alfa instead of 310, 120 mm of hull armor instead of 100 mm almost the same turret armor, 1 degree more gun depression (it had) reasonably mobile... WHAT was the point of playing a 62a or 140 over that when it had no inferior stats to the 62a except for maybe the turret armor slight difference and accuracy which the 140 doesn't have. Why didn't Wargaming buff the 140? Cuz they are a bunch of "Geniuses" very very intelligent people which i adore so much. Great video Bushka you did great explaining the tank.
I actually prefer the Object 140. Even tho now the T 62A got buffed. I am made for the 140. I feel like it is faster, bounces more and is smaller or at least shorter.
I think the reason why the 62 is getting buffed so much is because all the good players it seems go/went for the 140 and the noobs played the 62. Which made the 62s stats really bad so they had to buff it over and over again to *make the stats great again* (Pls don’t be offended it’s just a theory. Although most of the good players that I asked which one to get said the 140 is better (1,5-2 years ago))
I bought back my t62, sold my 140 with the new update without playing the t62... An hour later I sold t62 and bought back my 140. 140 seems way faster and I get more bounces in it...
well i think this buff is ok to make more compettitive in stat. but im not ok that they buff the gun depression. like wtf mt russian is well known about low gun depress for a long time suddenly buff and can play like other mt tank it just boring. why not make the different and make different gameplay. now 140 be like “oh fk my life i has no reason to exist anymore goodbye”

The T-62a is my best tank and first Tier 10 ,although i haven't played it for some time because i'm trying to get the EU tanks. But as you mentioned it is not easy to drive but its perfect for my style of play.

I’d put it in my top 5 tier 9 tanks. It has a strong turret, 10 degrees of gun depression and a 155mm gun. You don’t need much more to be successful in blitz.
Hugo Cabral kv1s has as of now a better t10 tank. Playing Kv shouldn’t be too tough to grind. Just chill and enjoy the kv 2 :) when it’s maxed of course...

In my opinion they should have never touched gun dipresion. It completely changes a play style and it making tank way stronger. All of my friends always told me that I should just go for T-62A and not Object because it's way stronger. And WG buffs T-62A. This is just saying of how WG is incapable of balancing this game. They overbuffed Chinese meds and now they think that totally "not" op russian meds are not strong enough. Hmm I wonder why. I just dont want WG to touch gun dipresion. It's the beauty of knowing each tank and in what position they can attack you. If all meds have similar gun dipresion. What is the point of that stat even being in this game?

The T-62a is my best tank and first Tier 10 ,although i haven't played it for some time because i'm trying to get the EU tanks.

I’d put it in my top 5 tier 9 tanks. It has a strong turret, 10 degrees of gun depression and a 155mm gun. You don’t need much more to be successful in blitz.

War Gaming should have stuck with the 8 degrees of gun depression that the T62A had in open test. The Obj 140 should get it as well.

IS4 is one of the most broken tech tree tanks right now, you should play the KV2 with the long gun (not the derp gun)
