To be honest the key to really course hair like his is moisture! You don’t want it to dry without combining all the way through the entire head. Split it up in sections it will be easier that way.
I blow dry because it’s easier to braid that way.

I have a bad habit of braiding wet hair 😭 ugh when I was is cosmo school we did blow outs before braids in still stuck in bad habits 😖
