I got a birdcord and an inexpensive Mregb power brick. Rip cords are out of stock everywhere but this works! Just make sure you don't forget the adapter.
Many times I saw something that seemed good to me without even being Popular. I know I'm not the only one who notices it. Friend you are very good. I saw some of your videos and they are very good. I wish you the best. Greetings
I thought I'd throw in what I've learned for the Elektron Model Cycles. I'm new to synthesis and purchased this as my first groovebox with the intention of being able to travel with it. At the time, the battery handle wasn't available, so I purchased a Tripp Lite USB to DC power cable (U152-003-3P5) and an Anker power brick. It works well up until you get down to the last third of the battery - then you get some artifacting. Perhaps I just need a a battery with more consistent output through its discharge cycle (not sure what the technical term is). It works well fully charged though and it lasts longer than I've been able to play.
I, and others had a lot of issues with the MyVolts Ripcord with the Elektron boxes. I switched to Birdcord and it fires up my DT,DN and OT no problem at all. Rytm and A4 need more power thought, not managed to power them up via a battery as yet
Sorry to hear it didn’t work well for you. Mine have been working great. I’ll check out Birdcord. The MyVolts Doubler was made to work with the A4 and Rytm. it might be worth a look if you need to be on the move with one of them. thanks for watching!
Hello! Thank you for the sharing this video ,really helpful 👍🏻Tell me please, how do you think - it’s safety use ravpower 26800 + Ripcord with digitakt? or have some riscs? Because many people say about glitches with some types of powerbank.I have chain - ravpower and digi but scare about it 🤦🙈
Make sure there is enough output amps from the power bank to whichever device you are powering. The 26800 is total battery storage capacity and not output amps. Thanks for watching!
Hello I am so happy to find this, also I want to know i I can power a Elektron Cycles? I kkow the power bar exist with batteries but I see have serious issues with some devices, I prefer power myself with a power bank thanks for your help and comments
The MyVolts website noted that the RipCord will not be back in stock for the Elektron Syntakt as it is not powerful enough to run that device. I'm curious if you have an alternate solution for powering the Syntakt on battery power. Thanks for the video.
I do! The folks at Birdcord made a specific high power (3Amp) version with the Syntakt, Analog Rytm (MK1 and MK2), Analog four (MK1 and MK2), and Octatrack (MK1 and MK2) in mind. The PD-12V. www.songbirdfx.com/products/birdcord-pd12v/ It has worked well for me in limited testing so far. *Note that it requires a higher power battery supply (USB PD Standard), and a USB C cable of your choice. It also works with the Digitakt and Digitone. Thanks for watching!
I have an idea to put my Digitakt and Digitone into a case, midi them together and run sound through one to be used with headphones as a portable sketchpad setup. Would I need to use two power bricks, or would one with multiple outlets work?
@@SURCOlive Cool! dumb question to ask! i have my hands full on new gear so I'll wait a bit until Overbridge is totally supported and some buggs corrected. Looking forward to see your review (if you decide to make one, or maybe advance tutorial.... ) 👍 👍 👍
I'll be excited to see this. I attempted to run my A4mkii with an external lithium pack and Sepic converter but it still ain't enough juice! Needs 24 Watts for all them analog circuits... might try again with better circuits...
I haven't tried the 'Doubler' from MyVolts yet, but I know they made it specifically for the MK2 Analogs. I'll let you know if it works! Thanks for watching.
If I buy a 12VDC power bank, do I still need this RipCord cable? Some of them come with different connectors, but I cannot find in the description whether the "+" is on the outer or inner side of the connector. Thanks for the video, btw!
More info on making a battery pack would be great. Was thinking about trying to build a 12v dc battery pack of my own, but don't want to risk killing my digitakt if I need some sort of power regulator pcb
I did this for my sp404 a while back. I've been wondering about modding the syntakt like that too, but i haven't seen the inside of it yet, so idk how much room it has inside
Technically maybe, but I would be careful about potential damage to your machine. I personally stick with Ripcord or Bird Cord (my new favorite). Thanks for watching!
Thanks, I ordered a cable now. I think I wouldn't have had an issue to try out the hack to insert an akku pack but it appears to me to be sort of a secret. I am 0% interested in how good it works for whom. I would want to see how it's done. Well, it could be nowadays hesitation for publishing anything which could cause another thing. Like I would show a video how to lighten a candle and being legally prosecuted because some expert burned down a house, referring to the video. Not sure. The world turns into something ridiculous, I believe.
Your affiliate link shows a product on Songbird but there they say “To power Elektron devices, you need a different (more powerful) Birdcord: The Birdcord PD→12V.” So Im confused…
The regular ones work for the Digitakt, Digitone only. The more powerful ones work for those two and all of the other devices too (Syntakt, Octatrack, Analog Rytm MK2, Analog Four MK2, Analog Heat). Thanks for watching!
@@SURCOlive thanks for the answer, and thanks for the videos! But let me ask something if I may (rn before purchase). You don’t list the 1010 boxes in the description. Have you stopped using them?

You were probably better off with this solution, also the Power Handle is unfortunately being recalled due to posing a fire risk.

Almost any will do. Just make sure they have enough amps output. I think it is 2.5 minimum. Thanks for watching.
Super useful. Thanks Eric

One with multiple outlets should work I believe as long as both meet the power draw of the two machines.
