- Here's a short video of a recent Strawberry trip for some kokanee. Almost got my limit and managed to hook into a gorgeous 3.5lb buck. For sure some exciting action and me trying to net it by myself may give you a few laughs as well. All the fish were caught on Schindler's Fly Shack flies. Check him out on Facebook / schindlersflyshack
and Instagram / schindler_503 .
Well done!

Just found your channel brings back great memories thanks for sharing what a fantastic fish congrats
Thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Nice solo day. That last one was a big boy.
He was a handful. Gave me a run for my money.
Looking good!!
Thanks!
Good work got to love the solo net job 👏👏👏👍👍
It can get a little tricky sometimes especially on the bigger fish!!
@@knottyhookrfishing9424 yes my biggest Kokanee was by my self and I thought for sure I wasn’t getting him in the net but magically I did
Nice work!
Thanks!! Your flies have been doing great for us on the Berry!!!
That's some work running everything by yourself.
The boat does most of the work. I get to concentrate on fishing.
That was nice of you to share that information with the other fisherman out on the lake! It seemed to pay off with that nice sized one! At one point have they spawned "too far" making them not edible?
I personally will eat them until we can't catch them anymore. I haven't had a bad kokanee yet.
@@knottyhookrfishing9424 So the meat is still firm? I guess as long as they're still biting, they're still eating?!
@@JohnsonsOutdoorAdventures If you take care of the fish they stay plenty firm. I bleed them and get them on ice pretty quick then after I fillet them I put them in the fridge overnight before vacuum sealing them.
@@knottyhookrfishing9424 thanks or the information!
ur Awsome People Hope to meet You Sooon
What line are you running on your rods?
I like to use P-line 12lb flouroclear.
@@knottyhookrfishing9424 do you mind if I ask what area you were in?
This was over by the Ladders area.
