Congratulations, Bob the Canadian! Your next video on this channel will be the 700th! Woah, you’ve outdone yourself! I hope you feel like a million bucks when you realize this. Thanks a million for being such a prolific teacher. You’re one in a million. 🥳👨🏼🏫😮
And to think I started this channel because I was waiting for my kids to get in the van to go to school and I thought I might as well make a short English lesson! 🙂🍎🍪
Hello mr. BOB, I completely understand you. No medicine is more healing and energizing than a good uninterrumpted night sleep; oftentimes it's just what we need to face a great day ahead. Btw, since I'm following your channel I found out that learning English can be an amazing, fun and easy-to-do road that open up any door along the way. I know I must do my best and work hard enough, but one day- I'm sure- I will get the feel for it :)!! And I will always be thankful of you, my dear Bob the Canadian. Bye
Hello Dear Professor! I feel like a million of bucks when I watch your videos, because besides teaching English you show us also the beautiful nature. Thank you very much.
By watching your videos every day I have been getting a feel of native English and when I come across the phrases I have learnt through you in movies or TV shows I feel like million bucks because I understand them nicely. Thank you Bob for that 🙏 🙂
I've been learning one new thing at my job lately. I tried to feel for it by repeating many times and finally I've got the hang of it!! I came back home feeling like a million bucks 😁 Thanks.
Hi Bob! Sometimes your lessons bring unexpected results. When I saw this video on Friday, I thought: “Hmm, trowel? This is a good new word. Why don't I take a trowel and fix a crack in the ceiling in my garage?" Guess why I'm only writing this comment on Tuesday? 😎👍

I was searching for a phrase meaning and found Your channel this morning. So i'm watching these cool videos instead of doing what l had planned for Saturday morning:) Great job really! So clear and informative) Thanks a lot! I' ll follow the channel, of course. It should be highly recommended!
There's a similar idiom: 'you look a million dollars" and that means you look really good. Quite surprising in the UK they don't say look/feel a million pounds
Awesome! I just listened all short lesson on Spotify and now I'm looking here to find the new ones as soon as they're released. Thank you so much for your lessons! Can you prepare something only with phrasal verbs with get?
They are slightly different. Here are some example sentences. I have an important meeting. (It's serious!) The meeting is necessary. (We must have it!) 🙂🍎🍪
Ikr. You can even hear it in his tone and the pace he was going at. When you see Bob the Canadian like this, you know that he’s had a good night’s sleep, probably gone for a walk, and is on an even keel. I hope this lasts for long, though, because these guys are soon gonna have to buckle up and go into high gear when it’s the end of the flower season. 💐🌻🚜👨🏼🌾
It was a good day. I feel pretty good today too. I think it's all due to three things: I'm sleeping well, I'm eating healthy food, and I'm exercising regularly! 🙂🍎🍪
I saw that you feel like a million bucks today, you got such a radiance, you are so exceptionally handsome wearing that sunglasses, Jen is lucky you walk out in nature instead of the city because you would be an eye-catching man for the ladies despite your age!

Did it take you longer than expected? 🙂🍎🍪
@@bobsshortenglishlessons Yep, because the way of moving a trowel that you demonstrated in this video doesn't work at all for ceilings. :)
Just wonder if the expression: Get the feel for, is the same as Get the hang of it. Thank you Teacher Bob for all your online lessons!
Yes they are the same! 🙂🍎🍪
To get accustomed to...to get hold on to...to improve once own ability...to perfect oneself...
Great synonyms! 🙂🍎🍪

I guess the phrase doesn't translate over the pond! 🙂🍎🍪
3:38 What's that white oblique line across the creek? That looks like a concrete structure!
That is called a weir. It holds the water back until it gets to a certain height and then lets it flow over. 🙂🍎🍪

Amazing lesson is the phrases in This lessons formal or informal? Thanks for everything
That's difficult to say. Informal English speech is often used in formal situation is now! 🙂🍎🍪 It's a very relaxed language.
Hello, Bob! Would the first phrase have the same meaning as "get the knack of sth)? A really lovely little bridge you're walking over in this video)
We generally say " to have a knack for something" 🙂🍎🍪
thanks for video. it is river?
We would call this a stream or creek. 🙂🍎🍪
@@bobsshortenglishlessons thanks
Thanks a bunch for the video🤝 Is "to get a feel for smth" akin to "to get a knack for smth" ?
Yes but we would say "to have a knack". 🙂🍎🍪
@@bobsshortenglishlessons Oh, I knew you say" have" but just wanted to know if we can use "get" in terms of acquiring some habit or skill.
Like in this phrase...Just to help me with some of the letters till I get a knack for it... 😊
Hi teacher Bob you say my uncle, how I know brother's mum or brother 'dad

Hey ! How is it going with you teacher ? I want to know is there any deffrence between important and necessary ? Can we use them interchangeably
