I got an Epi SG a few weeks ago in trade... Similar setup, but Hunter Green worn with p90's.... Like you, I have a lot of guitars. And like you, I absolutely LOVE this guitar man. I still need to give it a good setup as well, but highly inspiring, great tone, and a real player of a guitar! Thanks for the honesty about the question of whether or not to get a cheap guitar for a kid for Christmas or not... I think if you factor in the cost of a good setup, they could be happy with an even less expensive guitar... One thing to look for and steer clear of for beginners are sharp fret ends (ouch), do NOT get a Floyd Rose cause it'll be a tuning nightmare, and if the kids wants to play electric guitar/don't get them an acoustic!!! Electric is going to be able to get way lower action and get real rock sounds where an acoustic just ain't gonna cut it, and they will likely quit... Same thing if they actually want to play acoustic, don't force them to play electric. Bottom line, if you want them to stick with it, get something they like to look at, is comfortable to play, and is inspiring to them... Get a stand, not a case. If it's in the closet, not getting played. Also another thing people don't think about is the weight of a guitar and how it sits in their lap... Don't get a tiny kid a 10 lb Les Paul or Telecaster. 😂. Love your stuff man, subbed.
My grandpa a musician and an Gibson fan he discarderd the beginner level in about everything not just guitars. He talked a lot about it with my mother that got the idea of nibbeling in to things start out very low and then we will see. No get the real deal and look for an comitment he said in that way the fun and a progress will accure. "beginner" are of pure crap, Toys! I will think that he was spot on. My mum payed some attention so she bought me one used japanese made guitar a good one, my second guitar a US Charvel was then given by him also very good of cource. Then I have played them all and beginners are up to 90% of bad-very bad, it is hard to get joy and progress from such.
Hey bud I actually appreciate that suggestion and have some gear on order that may help with the audio I’m a novice right now on RUclips game so this is all a learning curve for me !
I do agree with you . But the problem with that post is that Keith Urban is made by Yamaha so it's probably way better than the Estaban offering and are available at Guitar center & Sweetwater. Also being geared towards country music a lot of people live in country where there is no local music stores . For me the closest music store is 60 miles each way.
That is a solid point and i hadnt considered that, I’ll probably reflect on that before I speak on it. May not change my opinion of them in particular but Good food for thought to consider
The first edition of the Keith Urban guitar ( thunderbird logo) was not a Yamaha built guitar. And it sucked. The new acoustic version is built by Yamaha and it is a huge improvement.
Yeah, sadly I didn’t realize how bad the Db drop was upon uploading I have some plans for my future content to fix this. Thank you guys for your patience and support of my channel I look forward to making videos in the future
Dude your guitar was so loud I had to turn down the volume, then when you talked I couldn't hear what you were saying. Edit your damn sound.. Nahh don't worry I won't be back. This was, 100% Clown Shoes
@@melonjaySumagaysay I don't need to cry, At least not from your 3rd grade level retort. Also I didn't post content; With guitar playing sure to strike fear in to the likes of Stevie T. @@JustinTaylorMD Okay .. All I said is I couldn't watch your video,; because of the audio. Then instead if addressing that complaint. I had to check the date on this video to see what year it was from. ;) Wow!!! Christmas tree already.

Maybe get a attachable mic when your talking. That should help with people being able to hear you.
