They do that to get people to make new builds. If you made a build that was viable all year what would make you want to make more. That’s their business model and we fall for it every year.

Its the community that ruins defense. Every year its "defense too strong...fix...defense isnt strong enough". So what do yall want? Give me back the beginning of the year defense.
Fax. First week of this 2k was perfect. Only 1 thing needed to be fix and that was limitless range being insane. But they couldn't just fix that, they completely made it useless and took them over a month to make it usable again. Too many changes throughout the year to timings, contests etc. is just annoying. Especially for casual players which is the majority of the player base.
i was cool with limitless being OD because defense was OD

Contest system is complete dog water, inbounding the ball is still buns and how they make you inbound it sometimes is a headache, rim runners are unfazed by locks 😂😂,

Man they nerf paint defense due to low IQ players forcing shots on the rim they make u foul when u have the better badges perimeter defense is fine steals are insane all they had to do was buff playmaking I got a 88 very 94 block 90 interior and get called for fouls more then anything it’s crazy they don’t respect paint defense

This game doesn’t have defense it never did 23 n 24 at all truly steals aren’t defense n they were balanced depends your skill level bigs haven’t had a year in 6 years 20 was my first 2k and I was great this new 2k is rim run rim run middy and spam to you get a still 😑
I'm saying. The disrespect towards bigs every year has been crazy. Now it's just like 2k22 where paint defense is non existent and bigs getting cooked by dudes half their sizes
Patty jumper is broken. When guarding, I do 15% contest with Patty that would be 60% contest on other jumpers. Its crazy, they think they an iso god when its the jumper thats saving them. 😂
We said the same thing about T Mac base cuz that’s a tall guard shot that barely get contest too, y’all want a small guard to have nothing special when the purpose of a small guard is to have all the best offensive animations 😆

How much better is Gold fast geet than Silver?
It's a big difference to me, I rather play on a 6'6 or 6'7 lock than a silver fast feet 6'8
I prefer high scoring games than low scoring games. I will never cry about defense again. Coming from a guy who used to. 20 points at halftime is not fun.

This why we need to buff blocks. Every one can shoot contested with enough practice so littleless dribbling and more blocks will fix the game, like i have hof chase down and i average 3-4 blocks a game. Blocks on the perimeter seem sooo bad

My homie last night hit 3 straight 60+% over a center in the corner with tmac base. Back to back to back and it’s like what more can we do defensively besides foul and even then it could be a 4pt play

Maybe they go with a kobe or something for release 2 but pretty much everyone uses that same jumper. Idk what percentage for releases tho but literally every swing uses this same jumpshot
Easy. They made everything overpowered and nerfed defense so bums can feel included because heaven forbid people take the time to improve their game in 2k

It should be dynamic like every other shot meter this year. No way I should get a little window when the paint is empty
It's trash. In 2k23 slashing take made it a lot easier but this year it doesn't even make a difference.
hey laker, im making a 6’2 small guard slasher and need to choose either bronze limitless on it or 94 dunk or elite off 2. i already have the 85 vert for small guard dunks. is it worth it for the elite or go with the bronze limitless
I know you asking laker but make it the way you're going to play if you see yourself dunking more go with the dunking but if you like taking shots go limitless

Even though this has been my favorite 2k since 2k19 I get so frustrated by the way defense is sometimes. I thought making a 7'0" 99 block HOF Anchor big would be better than just a high interior defense big with gold anchor but it feels like they are damn near the same a lot of the time
This is an issue of block and interior having lots of overlap imo they really need to combine rebounding, or interior D and block
I went from being focused on defence to a small guard with barely any defence and I've learnt that u don't even need defence this year, I can still contest shots and even on my lock contested shots went in so what's the point in being a lock

I think the real problem with most 2k players their 2K PLAYERS, who didnt really hoop irl, irl hoopers are just better than good 2k players bc we actually have a real feel for the game of basketball

defense was broken for so long man 😂 let offense have something i avg like 3 steals a game i only got an 85 silver you can literally win games with a 3 pure locks 😂 defense has ruled the game for the first quarter of the game life.

Make it broken season one and two. Game goes on sale Christmas time. Then becomes easy for kids to play. Happens every year
its all just a ploy to get you to make more builds and spend more money... they have no intension of changing no matter who talks about it. it always starts with strong defense and ends with no defense. just look at how many times you've made a build just to remake it again and again.

I feel people get to many ghost contests
Did the games defense get worse ? Or are people understanding the game better ? There is a “100% Green window” so we can hit any shot no matter the contest as long as I’m “PERFECT” and understanding the animations better I feel it has gotten worse but only by a fraction and it has to have. starting when they nerfed steals but defense is still good IMO…
