Parts of this vid felt like the opening for a horror movie, Romina! LOL The darkness foreshadowing the danger, as you're entering the forest unbeknownst to what's lurking inside it, kinda reminds of the movie 'The Descent'. :-)

Wow, that looks like a really cool thing to do for a night trip. Regarding mountain ranges, the Barberton Greenstone Belt in South Africa is more than 2 billion years older than the Appalachians, which are not even the oldest in the country. It does sound like something an enthusiastic tour guide would say though :)
The mountain range is part of that mountain range. Remember the continents were one once long ago (;
