sukhmani sahib was composed by 5th guru Arjan Dev Ji.It means "the pearl that brings you Happiness". It is a part of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib in which it is in Punjabi.
It is translated in Sindhi. The music is given by C LAKHMICHAND,
translated by PARSRAM ZIA,
& sung by Sindhi singer BHAGWANTI NAVANI, in 1989

Excellent voice. I have spent my childhood in Old Wadej area of Ahmedabad. There was a TIKANA near my house. I have grown up listening to this shabad. It reminds me of my childhood. Salute to Bhagwanti Nawani for this excellent shabad. Also salutation to our GURUS who have scripted this ANMOL BANI.

In 70's when when Bhagwanti Navani recorded this I bought all 4 parts cassetes and every morning tea time use to listene very peacefully, I use to feel how I can make my life worth living and cross full of dirt world river by remembering Guru's name, praying almighty God in any form and shape. Bagwanti had very soulful voice I still feel that she is singing live.
Really reminds me, my childhood, soul touching voice is this 🙏, not a sindhi i m but love this great words, with shower of blessings 🙏🙏

I am listening this since my childhood, but never was able to make out the actual meaning...
One day my masi died
It was peace all around
Pin dropped silence in the room
I am sitting at two feet from my masi's body
Staring at her without crying or speaking anything.... Just blank.
And there is these sukhmani in the background playing in little louder volume so that everyone can listen
I realised the meaning of each and every word then
And was not able to stop crying afterwards
Whenever I listen to this again
I remember that day and I get goosebumps.
Thinking that if death is the true destination why are we so cruel?
