With todays technology they could have easily made a game about massive battles like the WW1 game should be but NO.... You just fight alone most of the time. A couple of allies with you at best.
If you were going to send a fire mission via carrier pigeon wouldn’t it be wise to put a time and date it was sent? I mean what if the bird gets lost and lands back at the guns a day later?

In that specific situation I'm pretty sure nobody would think about such details when the enemy can breach in any second and kill you.
