I just bought these for my band last week. Thanks for the quick overview. It was our first time playing together with IEMs, and it was great! I'm a drummer who's learning some basic backup vocals, and it was my first time really hearing myself well with just the other vocalists in my mix. I was thrilled with how easy it all was to use.
My 7 member band has 2 of these units. They seem to work pretty good but we have not worked out the kinks or settings yet. At times we get like fuzzy or distorted sound in practice. We think the drums are causing clipping maybe. We are hopping to use them at an actual gig in the near future.
We ended up getting it to work for 7 people but just using one transmitter. We all had the same mix. The 2nd transmitter has a loud hiss that we can't get rid of. And now most of the band has gone back to floor monitors. You get what you pay for. We may try again. I can't really speak to the setup. I was just using what they gave me. If it were up to me I would use 2 floor monitors up front for the whole band.
I use this for a live setting and it frequently mutes itself. I’ve tried everything and it’s not been working out so great. IMO, save your money and get yourself a Shure PSM300.
@@MattKellyMusic that’s just my personal opinion. I run this setup using click tracks, MainStage Keys, vocals, a drummer and the Dante network. With the PTM-33 dropping as much as it has been, I’m tempted to return it. When it works, the audio sounds pretty good for what you pay. But the reliability is pretty poor. If you’re using a simple setup this might work. But if you’re playing 3-4 times a week with a full band and need reliability do not buy this. Again, this is just my opinion.

@@RichardPerrymanGuitarist thanks for the info! Let me know how it is live
Hi, I have one unit and I’d like to buy a second unit. Is it work with 8 returns without any problem ?

Thanks for the comprehensive review. Are you still using this system?
