Wow! What a fantastic video, Corinna. Excellent presentation and breaking down the cost to eat at home vs take out. Yes, please do more cost effective meals. Great job, and looks delicious.
Thank you Linda, I'm glad you like the cost break down. It takes more time but I think it will help some people realize how much better it is to cook at home.
Happy Monday and tell Glenn and the fur babies hello to thanks for sharing your chicken recipe with us today and take care and enjoy your day xoxoxo muh ❤❤
The fried chicken in the coating looks good. Similar to a tempura chicken. I never liked sweet & sour chicken, though. It's too sweet for me, but that's just my personal taste. I hope you enjoyed it! I applaud you for making it at home. Great savings Corinna! 👍
I’m am so glad to have that sauce recipe! Ps. I’m the one that was talking about Mama Mel’s Salisbury meatballs. I made them sat. They turned out really good. I added canned mushrooms because I didn’t want to mess with fresh. They worked out perfectly in it! If you look for the recipe I believe it was in her Top 3 Crockpot recipes of 2024.
That looks super delicious! I am going to have to try it. I have had problems in the past finding a sweet and sour sauce I really like. Im going to cut the recipe in half just to see if I like it. I hope so! That is a big savings to make at home and you know how fresh your chicken and ingredients are, plus knowing yours is clean and prepared properly. Have a great week.
Heres another sweet and sour sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar and cornstarch. To make sort of Wor Su Gai make chicken same way(or frozen chicken tenders/nuggets) Chicken or Fried rice flavor Rice A Roni Iceberg lettuce, broken on bite size pieces Green onions, sliced or chopped Cream of chicken soup or chicken gravy. Hapy New Year to you Glen and the furbabies!💖🎊🎉
plus, you can make the meal knowing what you are adding to the food. What you get from the restaurants is good but what ingredients do they really use.
I love sweet and sour chicken, but have never made, going to try , this year I am going to try things I haven't made, and get more organized .Great video. God bless you all. It's cold in Oklahoma, we had light snow, but it didn't stick, this morning 12 degrees.
Thank you, I hope you try this. We are also going to try new recipes this year and as you saw, I am also trying to be more organized. It's been cold here also, real feels below zero brrrrr. Stay warm
I know it took time to do this video the breakdown of cost and preparation time my goodness you proved the cut in price in preparing the food at home..you most definitely saved. And your dish looked amazing and I want to try it myself ...thank you really awesome video.😁 Be blessed ...see ya next time
Thank you Peggy, it does take a lot more time to do these types of videos but if it helps someone realize it's cheaper and better to cook at home then it's worth it. God Bless
I have making this ed sauce for over 40 ears and the batter for chicken I have never add corn starch. sometimes I do this recipe only using orange sauce. I do sometimes add thin slice carrots, green peppers and pineapple.
Thank you Patricia, I love this recipe. I have been using it for a few years now. If I make it the other way then I will mix it with peppers, pineapple.
If you are worried about using red dye ,just leave the food coloring out. It will taste the same and be healthier!
I don't make it that often so I'm not worried about it.

I only have blue food coloring so we might have this but with blue sweet and sour sauce lol 🤣
LOL, it's a good thing the food coloring doesn't make the taste. Thank you Lindsey
I didn’t know I could make my own sweet and sour and it’s GF! Not all sauces are gluten free flour is used as a thickener
Thank you Amanda. You can definitely make your own and it's super easy and delicious.
Can you give the ingredients and measurements for the sauce please. I wasn’t able to catch them in the video. TIA!❤
Thank you, I will put the recipe in a community post in the next day or so.

That sounds really good - not real sure about the sauce.
Thank you Mary, everyone's taste is different so you can use your own sauce.
