      Hi there. Yes, the number 1 thing to do is silence the rifle !! They bark very loud !!
      In the meanwhile what I did was zero my Scope at about 185 Bar. The Kral's velocity does change quite a bit from 200 to 150 bar. If you zero at 180-185 bar, then once you arrive at your hunting/shooting spot you take 2 or 3 shots to settle the rifle. Then you should be spot on for the next 10 + rounds. Once you have a regulator it will be constant from the start (always shoot 1 or 2 shots before the hunt). You will loose a bit of velocity , but she will be dead on for about 20 shots. Keep in mind that Kral barrels needs a bit of work. You need to clean the barrel several times and put at least 200+ pellets through it before it really starts to group. (This was the case on Kral about 5 years ago... Last time I bought one)
      Enjoy your Rifle. They are great value for money !!

    The last squirrel of the season made a nice squirrel-b-cue sandwich and I finally put the regulator in. It was an easy install thanks to you! I can't say the groups are that great but I only shot a few magazines. I have to imagine there's a bit of a break-in period. I shot a full cylinder across the chrony with the JSB 18.13s before the install and captured the shot string in the app. I'll throw a few hundred shots downrange tomorrow to break it in then do another shot string across the chrony to see what happened. Thanks again!

      Hi Brad.
      Remember to clean your barrel. Kral barrels, if clean and they have about 300 + shot in them, are "generally" very accurate.
      I recently shot my old puncher and got sub 1/2" groups at 30meters with no regulator. In fact, all my krals are like that, BUT only if the barrel is clean...
      I clean every 200 shots or less and only use those 18.13gr JSBs. They are magic !!
      Also your Regulator should not need more than 20-30 shots to settle.
      I fitted a reg to my PR900W about 4 months ago. Shot 20 or so shots just to clean out the silicone and then shot 10 through the chrony....
      Got a total of just 6fps spread over 10 shots. Better than my FX impact !!!
      BBQ squirrel sandwich , that is a new one for me ;)

      @@affordableairgunningbyjb6994Yep! I shoot the same JSBs. I've got a 40 yard shot in the yard. I'm usually getting ~5/8" groups at that range. I cleaned the heck out of the barrel when I got it--i removed the barrel from the receiver to really scrub it. I've got around 4000 rounds through it. I love this gun. I have a block of putty that I put plastic army men in front of and it hits them every time. Between the silencer and the putty it makes no sound so I can sit out there at midnight with an audiobook and not annoy the neighbors 😁

    • @affordableairgunningbyjb6994
      @affordableairgunningbyjb6994  4 года назад

      Hi Wihann. Apologies for late reply: Yes it does reduce and you lose effectively less than 2 shots at full power (maybe 1). The regulator helps to make the rifle more effective, thus using slightly less air per shot, so the minute amount you loose due to its volume is negligible.... Much better rifle after the regulator is installed ... Will also install in Gamo Coyote , and SPA....

    I'm in the middle of this video. I watched your video on how a regulator works and it was excellent. I'm trying to re-educate myself on the particulars and basics of (pcp) airguns. I just found a retailer of these Kral rifles in canada, where I live currently. Apparently this company, *thankfully*, makes several non-pal (license requiring) versions of some of their models.
    The part where you mentioned a 9month fight with the company over a poorly machined receiver is very concerning. And this video is only less than a year old (plus at least 9 months I guess). Do you have any info update on whether the issue is resolved?
    Thanks again. I like the concept of your channel. Seems educational, quite helpful. Nice looking bullput, sir.

    • @affordableairgunningbyjb6994
      @affordableairgunningbyjb6994  3 года назад +1

      Hi there "Circle".
      As I do not have any other Krals currently with me as a reference I would like to think that it was an isolated case. My guess was broken tool (cnc bit) that caused the damage and hopefully was isolated case. Their is a Kral FB group in the UK and they all pimp their rifles. No one mentioned poor quality on any post I have seen.. Functionally the rifle was fine and if I never opened it at the time probably would not have noticed.
      (PS: Don't cock and shoot it without air pressure... I just replaced the valve of one that was fired with no air in it... Broke the valve stem. Spares are very cheap compared to FX !!!)
      One major issue was the language barrier, but Kral cannot use this as an excuse being an international company . They did react very poorly to my letters. I sent at least 5 letters to their support team without any joy. However, If you are from Canada I trust that your "agent" there will most certainly act on your behalf just like mine did.
      My explanation of a Kral PCP: It is the AK47 of the PCP world. They are Basic, crude and rugged. They are not precision and competition rifles, but they are GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY !! and in general they WORK !!
      I sold my bullpup about 3 weeks ago. The new owner called me after 3 day just to say thanks for an awesome rifle !! I upgraded (ha-ha) to a FX IMPACT MK 1. It was 2.5 years old and had been in the storeroom of the supplier. By the the 5th time the rifle was stripped to replace leaking o-rings I had pretty much lost confidence in the flagship of PCPs. Their are 32 (Yes 32) o-rings in an Impact MK1.... If any one of them don't perform 100% the thing does not work !!! I think there are about 12 in a Kral puncher..... and minor leak will still allow it to shoot, but just not as many shots.... The FX ........
      I will still support and recommend Kral. It has it limitations, but it comes with the price.....
      My channel will be in full swing by mid next year... Stay tuned and hopefully there will be many more videos to follow for the "average" guy out there that does not have 3000$ to spend on a PCP.....
      Regards and be safe !!

    Biggest problem i got it was that the transferports was way off from The beginning.

    Do you fill your gun more then 200bars?

      @UCcc6DNbeqGMACmcrNdDwqDQ hi thanks for your comment!
      Thats True, you must respect the high pressure.
      I have notice people with regulators often make a little overfill.
      In my case unregulated i need to bump up the power a little bit and the orginal hammer spring feels weak.
      After some alignment and porting i had 30ms gain.
      I have spare upgraded valve stem if its going wrong.
      I like to have the SS valve but no one makes it anymore.
      Like to see more breaker videos on the tube they are rare!!

    Do you need to drill the transfer port in the Breaker? Mine came with a drill bit but according to his website the Kral guns don't need to be drilled.

    • @affordableairgunningbyjb6994
      @affordableairgunningbyjb6994  2 года назад +1

      Hi Brad. No, you do not have to, but if you have the right tool (drill press) it will give you slightly better air efficiency at the same regulator setting. Thus you can reduce the regulator pressure for the same velocity and get 2 or 3 shots extra (maybe 4). Mine was set at 135 bar, if i recall correctly, and it gave me 25 shots at about 840fps with 18.13gr pellets. That is plenty power and i got a 1/2 inch group at 50 meters !!!!!! Refilling from a 300bar small carbon cylinder is so fast that shot count and efficiency did not really worry me...
      I just did a video on a regulator fitment in a PR900w. During that video I noticed that The manufacturer already increased its transfer port to to a larger (same as what Mr Lane recommended) diameter and thus did not have to drill...... Just maybe Kral Increased theirs also and thus no need to drill at all.....
      Hope this helped .

    Hi...Why did you drop the pressure? Surely more pressure means more power?

    • @affordableairgunningbyjb6994
      @affordableairgunningbyjb6994  3 года назад +1

      Hi Versatec.
      Ok, let me explain:
      When you start to shoot with a non regulated PCP the following happens....
      Let us say that is a 200bar PCP. Your 1st shot the hammer must hit the valve with enough energy to open that valve against the valve spring pressure AND the 200 bar pressing against it... So let us say that the valve then opens for 0.05 seconds (I have no idea of actual values, but just using random numbers to explain.) to allow some air into the barrel. It was very short period, but also it was 200 bar....
      Now you get down to 180 bar.... The same hammer with same energy hits the valve. The valve spring is the same, but now only 180 bar pressing against the valve. The hammer thus hits the valve deeper and it stays open for a bit longer.... let's say mow 0.09 second.... It is open longer, but less air pressure... The result is about the same amount of air entering the barrel , but not exactly...
      Now we get to below 150 bar in the PCP tank... The valve is now gets hit very deep into the valve assembly and stays open maybe 0.15 second... Thus is much longer but the pressure is much less... again the bullet speed will be "ok" but definitely different from the 1st shot.... If the speed changes the impact point changes and your rifle is not accurate... What is the use of all the power in the world if you missed...?
      When we put a regulator in and we set the reg pressure at 135 (in this case or maybe even less depending on what and where you shoot.) the following happens:
      1st we need to change the spring tension on the valve because it was not design to have so little pressure behind it.... BUT now EVERY time the hammer hits the valve the valve is open for the same time and allows the same amount of air to go to the barrel, because the valve assembly has the same pressure every-time.. .... NOW we do not have this very powerful first couple of shots, but what we do have is a very accurate PCP....
      Go and have a look at my other video. Watch the whole video... it fully explains it: ruclips.net/video/h9CRxVw_vVs/видео.html (Oops, I just remembered that you did already see that one..... )
      Hope this helps

      I "think" it is the valve leaking. I just replaced a valve on a kral puncher (breaker) for a friend. His took about a day to drop from 200 to 80 bar....
      The valves are cheap and relatively easy to replace. Just make sure the surface where the valve seals is not damaged. If it is damaged, then the whole valve assembly might need to be replace, or if you have the right tools, could be fixed...

      Hi Emanuele. My average velocity was 835fps. The Regulator was "pre-set" to 135 bar by them and shooting with the JSB 18.13gr Pellet. I get 22-23 VERY stable shots, with hardly any fluctuation, before the pressure below regulator pressure. (Max was 840fps & min was 832fps. This was better consistency than my friend's FX impact that was with us at the range). I only filled the tank to 195bar and maybe you can now fill to 210 bar. I don't want to tell you to over fill, but at 210 it should settle at 200 once temperature reduce inside (remember that the temperature increases as pressure increase.) and then you might get 2-3 extra shot..?
      Remember one thing about Kral: It is the AK47 of air rifles. They are tough rifles, but they need a bit of love before they shoot well. Clean your barrel VERY good before you shoot the 1st time and keep it clean (200 max shots, then clean again) and after about 500-700 shots she will be VERY accurate !! I am getting 12mm groups at 50m with JSB 18.13gr . THEY ARE THE BEST !! BY FAR !!! don't waste any time with any other pellet. I have 4 Kral punchers and they all love the JSB 18.13gr. Also for hunting because they are accurate .....
      I hope to get out soon and will then drill the "power adjuster port" open with the drill supplied by Rober Lane. I think this will give you about 10-20 fps extra and use very little extra air. However 835fps is already 28 foot-pound !!

      I bought it with this stock in the UAE.
      If you are in the US, just get yours "hydro dipped" in camouflage colors .. should be cheaper than buying a new stock....

    whats a good regulator setting on the .25 for 900fps?

    • @affordableairgunningbyjb6994
      @affordableairgunningbyjb6994  3 года назад +1

      Hi there Dee. To order the power setting (Approximate "fps" for your rifle the team at Lane Regulators will pre adjust the reg to be as close as factory possible to your request). Keep in mind that 900fps for a 25 cal is very high and you might not get that with the regulator.... or if so, then only a few shots.....
      Lane regulators ship world wide and they are good value for money regs...
      They are on FaceBook Try this link : facebook.com/AirgunRegulators/

      Hi there Jason.
      Trust you are well.
      Why would you want to fit a de-pinger in the Krall. It already has a de-pinger valve/cap that screws into the valve assembly....
      or is this for a different rifle....?

    Air tube had to use vice wiggle then flat head screwdriver and hammer to get free

      Has anyone worked on your pcp before ?
      I have fitted 3 regulators in 3 different Kral punchers.
      They were all reasonably easy... Maybe if they are older and some corrosion/rust ??? Good luck and hopefully all goes well !!
      Please Update on the final results.

    Does this regulator come in .25 does this increase performance?

    • @affordableairgunningbyjb6994
      @affordableairgunningbyjb6994  4 года назад +1

      Hi there Derrick. A regulator does not improve your "performance", it only makes the pressure constant for every shot and thus your accuracy improves A LOT !!. My Kral comfortably puts 10 shots in a 12mm group at 50 meter. It does not matter what the caliber, it will work on .177 .22 .25 all of them. Go and look at my video : "PCP Regulator, how does it work" It is about 15 min and by the end it should be clear exactly how and what the regulator does for you......... ruclips.net/video/h9CRxVw_vVs/видео.html
      If you fit a regulator in a full power Kral and set it to 135bar, my average velocity is 835 feet per second. That is still almost 30 foot/lb energy (18gr .22), but the first 25 shots have almost exactly the same speed , even more constant than my FX Crown....(2.5 times more expensive than the Kral) You can, if you want to, reduce the pressure in the regulator and then get more shots, less power, but still very accurate.....

      @@affordableairgunningbyjb6994 Wow, this sounds good. I got it at Troy Hammer's right now getting it tuned and some modifications done. I am wonders after his done will I still need a regulator 🤔. What do you think, I'm new to this so I gotta ask questions.

      @@derrickmitchell39dm As with all "Men's" Toys there are thing we "Must" do and thing we "Want" to do.... The Kral is great value for money and very accurate for the price . Up to about 30-35 meters (Just under 40 yards) I would rather get work done to my trigger (Must) than fit a regulator (Want) in Kral. A Kral has a shit trigger full-stop !!! Change that to a lighter more constant pull trigger and it will be more beneficial than a regulator. I do not know about any "mods" on the market for this as I just do it myself. Opened everything up, polished the rough trigger parts and then adjusted it as sensitive as I thought safe. If you then later plan to shoot past 40meters, at small targets, then consider the regulator because you will have about 25 constant shots!!. Always keep in mind that these are "air rifles" and those guys out there shooting 100 + meter.... Why ?? Wrong Tool for the Job ! get a rimfire... .22

      @affordableairgunningbyjb6994  4 года назад +1

      @@derrickmitchell39dm Yes, you will loose on the 1st couple of shots. Before i continue: Where in the world are you.... If you are in the UK and shooting Sub 12 foot/lb then I am not sure of the extent by which a Regulator will change the accuracy. Again, go and look at my video. At the end i tell exactly what the velocity was before and after installation... Before i fitted the reg I zerod my Kral at 30m by the time the pressure was 180 bar in the rifle. This was to kind of get a average point of impact between 200 and 150 bar (when I refill). With the reg, all the shots are spot on !! from 200 till regulated press of 135 bar is reached .... Power and speed means nothing ......... If you missed the target..

    Name is wrong, Puhcner is the family of their PCP models, but the Breaker is the exactly model. And its VERY strange why you mount regulator WITHOUT enough plenum (pre-chamber) space! Because regulator have not enough flow capacity. Its amateur...

    • @affordableairgunningbyjb6994
      @affordableairgunningbyjb6994  2 года назад

      Hi Ivan. Yes, you are correct with the name, my apologies if I named it wrongly...
      However you do not need the "plenum". My shot count is virtually the same as before the regulator was fitted. I used to get about 25 shots before my muzzle speed dropped below 810fps (but it started at over 900fps. After regulator she gave me about 25 shots with 18.13gr at 830fps. This is 28 foot-pounds energy and with a spread of less 10fps !! (My FX impact MK1 has a larger spread!!) She was VERY consistent and accurate. The gain by increasing the regulated section will directly relate to a decrease in the high pressure section causing less available air... Unlike in a bottle rifle where the plenum wont take away high pressure volume....
      Would you be so kind as to share the numbers your rifle gets with the increase (plenum fitted) regulated volume... This way we both have data we can use , not opinions on what "should" have been done... Keep in mind we are NOT talking about sub 12 foot-pound rifles...., but rather "full power".
      Eagerly awaiting your statistics....
      Happy hunting
