Feel like if this channel pivoted into solely Jungian content it would still get a shit ton of traffic (and this is probably just me projecting my fantasies)
This is why I watch Jordan Peterson's lectures. His classes tended to sound like marketing campaigns for Viktor Frankl Solzhenitsyn and of course Jung.
Fantastic! I highly recommend Man and His Symbols. An excellent introduction to Carl Jung and analytical psychology. Part I. Approaching the Unconscious - Carl G. Jung Part II. Ancient Myths and Modern Man - Joseph L. Henderson Part III. The Process of Individuation - M.L. von Franz Part IV. Symbolism in the Visual Arts - Aniela Jaffé Part V. Symbols in an Individual Analysis - Jolande Jacobi
@raspian101 I truly disagree. If you look at his ideas, they were developed only with intense scrutiny and proof. Proof in the psychic dimension, the mythic dimension, is most profound when qualitative. Scientific methods and procedure has not caught up with the depth of the work Jung conducted.
I feel like the message of Jung is needed by this world right now more than ever. Everything is so disjointed from each other and not until we learn to rejoin ourselves would we even begin to scratch the surface of rejoining the world. Good job man!
I can’t tell you what is actually going on in the mind, but from my experience what Carl jung is talking about feels real. Maybe not the specific mechanisms behind the process, but going through it felt very much like what he explains in this video.
Here's an exercise in advanced thinking: Jung broke the "4th wall" of reality itself and now stand behind the curtains of the collective pyschic cognition, that is to say Carl Jung himself has become an archetype, in the order of Elijah, ministering and guiding young initiates of his school.
While I would say that is a fascinating concept in some ways, it is not entirely accurate. It is not to say that that Archetype may not exist, but that it likely existed already. Keep in mind that Jung wasn't the only one to have or even produce such thoughts. Much of his work is a direct reflection of the time he took researching the Occult Spiritual traditions of Alchemy. Many of his ideas are more modernized versions of the Esoteric/Internal Alchemical process, especially the fusing of the Desperate parts of one's consciousness to make oneself whole. Likely the Archetype you spoke of existed within every Alchemist before him, and after. Its simply that he was what brought these concepts from the Hidden corners of our Collective Knowledge, into the light.
Said this to my grandma yesterday in a lighthearted way. Completely shut down the emotional (anger/stress) frenzy she was in and put a smile on her face.

And now, talking to me family or friends about the great analytical psychologist to more understand themselves, they look at me funny or just plain dismisses. Anyway, keep the videos coming :)

It's not "Jung's process of Individuation". Individuation is spiritual awakening and is also known as kundalini awakening and Self Realization. It is an arduous and extremely agonizing process that takes decades to complete. It took me roughly 25 years just to purge and integrate my unconscious. The shadow is not a real entity. It is temporary and consists of repressed instincts, emotions, feelings, and complexes. The Self Realization process purges all darkness from a person.
I guess perhaps the weird side of myself is a shadow of some sorts, but then again, I have more than one side of myself that seems to have that first shadow as its shadow. Or something like that. Unless perhaps I have a weird "shadow" and that weird side switching thing is either another shadow or something else entirtely. Maybe I have multiple shadows whose shadows are my other shadows, which would mean I have some issue with myself or something. Or, they're all one shadow. Or maybe not, they're very different from each other so probably not. Or maybe yes.
The timing of this video could not have been better. Thank you very much! Can you recommend any first hand sources which further discuss the topic of Individuation? Did Carl Jung write essays or books about it?
My boy Carl wrote a lot of books and essays which have been compiled together. In some ways they're easy to read, and really hard to read in other ways.
i wished my first language was english cuz i don't understand what he is say and to process it immediately. Btw thanks for tell about the things that people left for us🙂🙂🙂🙂

I think by trying to analyse the subconscious we only create a selffullfilling prophecy, which doesnt really represent our true self. Instead we just should focus on our day to day deeds. What I also dont get is how we're supposed to become our true selfes when we consist of multiple parts opposing each other.
It is too bad that Jung built his ideology on Freudianism. It's foundation is unstable and unsound. It is also why it was so ridiculous the Jordan Peterson vs Ziziek debate. It was a Jungian vs a Lacanian.
@@TheHexbugfan It is Freud's theory that is unsound. His whole ideology is based around the idea that all things are based upon unconscious psychological constructions and the giving credence or importance to these constructions result in neurosis. Jung you could argue is a reformer, as his ideology is basically based on the same thing, except giving credence or importance to the constructions does not result in neurosis.
