    Very well explained 👍 I might want to buy these pistons for my rc cars 🙂 I find a lot of important information on your channel 😃
    I have a question about shocks:
    When shock is build (without spring!) and I push shaft fully up into the shock body ⬆️ , should it extend ⬇️ ? Also when I push shaft down ⬇️ , should it move back ⬆️ ? Or the shock shaft shouldn't move by itself without spring? 🤔

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  3 года назад +1

      Yes, if installed properly and you achieved removing all air bubbles, when pushing the shock shaft all the way up it should slowly move back out on its own. That’s a good sign.
      I’m not sure If it works both ways meaning if you pull it out really fast as it slowly suck itself back in, I don’t believe it does do that. However if yours is doing that I would also consider that a good sign that you’ve got all the air bubbles out

    So it would seem, as I figure, you can't tighten it down all the way with the supplied o ring because it will dislodge. But if you don't tighten it down, you get leakage. Seems to me like the solution is a thinner o ring and less vranking down in the end, just enough to seal, no?

    Nice video buddy!
    I love these ZRS caps from M2C! I have them for all my rigs💪😎
    Great job taking your time with the install. Maybe try the standard shock springs first to see how they behave and standard 1000cst oil as intended and build up from there. With those stiff springs and super heavy oil not sure your gonna get all the benefits of the dampening of these caps. ZRS really soak up a ton of bumps well when going high speeds, with the stiff springs it may just bounce off of terrain that would normally be soaked up?? I'm curious to see brother, do your thing! Love it

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  4 года назад +1

      3 Sons RC, hey what’s up my friend! I hear what you’re saying. Running the ZRS caps with the regular shock set up is definitely going to be a venture for me here pretty soon. However I’m going to do it in a little bit of the opposite order of what you’re suggesting. With all the work I put into trying to fine tune the duel shock spring experiment, (now technically a single spring, big rock springs). I plan to get a couple more bash sessions in to truly get the feel of these ZRS caps and how they impact this experiment. I did notice a significant improvement with these caps on the heavier springs. It changed from About a 4 inch bounce (from 35 inches up) to only about an inch and a half bounce. To me that’s pretty significant.
      Remember my goal with rocking his heavier springs aside from seeing if I could tame them, was to provide more protection to the body from chassis slap and other rigorous jolts. So long as the hit to performance and running over those rocky terrain’s etc. isn’t too significant I may end up making this my official bash set up. However I need more time with it. Eventually I will switch back to the single spring and then I’ll really have a gauge as to which I like more. Bash on brother

    If you had thicker oil or smaller holes in the piston wouldn't that dampen it so there would be less bounce ?

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  3 года назад +1

      With these extremely heavy duty shocks springs that I’ve got installed on my vehicle. (The Arrma Nero Big rock spring) I had to do all kinds of things to tame these shocks. Which is why I have, to your point, added not just extremely thick Shock fluid . But I’m actually running 5000 weight differential fluid inside them! LOL
      Now… Prior to incorporating the M2C zero bounce shock caps I was running my own custom pistons with the set up. At which point I was, which again is to your point, running not only less holes than the stock pistons. But smaller holes as well.

      They’re doing great! Had a bash session recently and I felt she performed on par if not better then the EXB I was roll’n with.
      In fact it was quite noticeable how much softer and less chassis slap was heard and seen comparatively. And the Bounce factor was definitely not worse then stock (EXB), in fact many a landings were quite kush. So ya... luv’ n it!

      @EastTactics  3 года назад

      Ya... ideally you want the longer ones. Sucks there so hard to find. The part number I give is for the 75mm version. Not even sure which classic Nero big rock those were for, cuz your right, I checked to, the current ones in the Arrma diagrams show the 65mm.
      Stock Kraton is:
      85mm front
      95mm rear
      So with me going 75mm collar adjustments were needed for both front and even mor so for the rear.
      Going 65mm is just too short. IMO

      Regarding the springs, Give me a little bit of time today and I’ll do some research for you. I heard of a company where you can order custom springs. Let me iron out, the exact sizes you need to order from them etc. But, I need to button up some of the details and then I’ll let you know. May even have to make a separate video specifically on these guys. Since it seems so hard to find the Nero shock springs even here in the US.

      Ya, it’s definitely not an experiment for the feint of heart. I will say the Kraton is a different beast with them, and I really like it. As you know though, I don’t run the duel springs anymore, instead I run the equivalent as a single beefed up spring with the big rock springs and 5k diff fluids throughout.
      The shock caps help a lot to recoup performances lost in the added shock absorption she gained. Is it worth it, time will tell after my next few bash sessions.
      I’ve been out of pocket tho of late, with a big family move. Hoping to get back at it here real soon. Thx for watching my vids and commenting. 👊😎👍
