When I'm done with my first playthrough, I'm going to make a Marisa cosplay build with both Elden Stars and Comet Azur. I will not be able to afford vigor, but dying in one hit just makes it more accurate to the character.

Even the "dark" spells were great, losing you all souls when you use them was a superb mechanic for a spell that could be easily dodged. You don't need two million projectiles to make spells viable, you need to actually have spells people want to use. Right now for incantations for instance, the best spell is... the lightning spear. The frenzy burst one is also used for sniping, other than that you just use support incants because all the other incantations are trash at being reliable damage, even against AI.

Ancient death rancor spam, then I use fia's death just to both stop most people from being aggressive as well as hide my switch into moonveil and it always catches people of guard. And yes I'm petty if they use BHS I will literally stop fighting and just use it to evade until they finger sever or I feel like finally finger severing. I have 0 respect for people who use BHS and if you want to use it and waste my time I'll do it right back and show them how anti-fun BHS is.

The cerulean hidden tear that you can mix in your wondrous physick can negate all FP consumption for 10~ seconds which means anything that you cast in those ten seconds costs you nothing but stamina
This is the exact reason why I check who I'm summoning for duels. If they have a staff or look like a sorcerer, I skip them and find somebody who actually wants to fight me and not just press the L1 button.

I remember that I had a bad time fighting that knight that spams blue daggers over and over. That combat style was kind of annoying, so I made 80+ different daggers (Kukris, poisoned daggers) and threw every single at him whenever he tried to run away with his horse.
I want someone who is on a pillar, to summon a player and make them read read the message "welcome to the Bullet Hell." 3 seconds after that, you will start to spam whatever magic you have (stuff that's dodgable but also stuff deadly) if they can last longer than 5-10 minutes than congrats, they won the challenge.
I am so happy more Touhou fans are playing Elden Ring. I have always invaded since DS3 as Marisa Kirisame with Soul Stream and now Comet Azur. I got decent at free aiming it outside of people's detection zone with Obscuring Ring or Concealing Veil. It's great.
Both games are hella hard and took a lot of dedication to be actually good. So It shouldn't be surprising if people play these two game which in the same 'unforgiving' game category
