These idiots who have you spawn in under their floorboards are the same morons who don’t place their Vending Machines in a LOGICAL location. If I have to search and search for your vending machine, you don’t deserve my Caps.
My vending machine is right next to the door before you enter. Easy to find, and it made me several thousands of caps in a few days selling plans and recipes.
Fast travel to your camp while you're at your camp . If it says you're too close , just walk away from the camp module a little ways . When you fast travel to your camp , from your camp , you'll spawn where other players spawn in . Spawn point will be - 6 foundations north and 1 1/2 foundations east from where your camp module is sitting . ( Roughly ) Rotating your camp module will also rotate your orientation when you spawn in . Your spawn is different than other players spawn point if you're far away . For instance , if your camp is by Vault 76 and you're in the Mire region , you'll spawn in a different location than everyone else . Its so exact that you could build a small building or shed that you'll spawn into , in the exact same spot inside said building . So your spawn location will be the same no matter what as long as you're fast traveling to your camp from " Far away " . Other players spawn isn't exact , but its really close . Id say their spawn point will have less than a 2 foundation spread . Nice video ! I haven't seen this topic come up in a long time . And we all know Bethesda doesn't like giving us details like this .
I don't understand why they didn't just give us the ability to make that little doormat looking thing that was in fallout 4 that let you choose where you spawn in to a settlement.
I just learned about this last week. It's really great once you find the perfect spot. I'm having a really hard time finding the perfect spot on my new camp, thought. I think I've put it everywhere and still no dice. Will go at it again today. Very useful knowledge! Great vid! Thanks!
Your spawn point, is also where most of the mobs will spawn in also. If you want no mobs to spawn INSIDE your building, put your spawn point on the EDGE of your camp, and point your turrets at the camp device.
Like you said, this is one of those things you assume everyone knows but obviously not, by how many times I've been nocliped through a cliff 😂 Great video bro!
Keep in mind you will always spawn about 6 foundations North and a foundation and a half East of wherever you place your module. They did this so you don't spawn in a "predictable" location when traveling to another player's CAMP so people couldn't set traps on the spawn point and kill you, and why we never got fast travel points you could place at your CAMP for your convenience. Which is dumb and fruitless because as soon as you watch where people traveling to your CAMP spawn in, you can just place a trap there, or drop people off cliffs, trap them on acid deposits so they can't fast travel and have to log out, or any number of other dastardly things. And so today we all still have a clunky, obnoxious system that wasn't needed and solved nothing, and never got Welcome mats for manual spawn location setting like Fallout 4 gave us - so you know it's not that they couldn't do that in 76. It was a lazy solution that could have been fixed long ago like a lot of things, and may never get touched at all.
This is a tip I needed. About 1/2 the time when I load into the game at my camp it spawns me under a foundation that is set over water for collection purposes
Idk if its just my location but moving my C.A.M.P unit doesn't move my spawn point at all, I've placed it in every possible spot in my build area and it never changes.
@KingFanMan At least my C.A.M.P spawn point is pretty good so its not that big of a deal but just really weird that it doesn't move, wish they would give us the fast travel rugs from fallout 4 lol.
The details of your problem are outlined elsewhere in this comments section. I don’t believe there is a way to change your specific spawn location, but I think it helps to understand the details of whats going on
@ TBH, it makes no sense that we can do this, but we can only use the Fast Travel mats we have in workshops. I know they don’t let us because of griefers and trap camps, but they could basically use this method, so what’s the difference. It is good though that we at least gave this for an alternative.
It’s one of those simple little things but there are dozens & dozens & dozens of simple little things Bethesda don’t tell you so I guess it’s really not surprising a lot haven’t heard about it. It’s honestly why I haven’t done a video on it before now…I thought most knew.
Great video. I've been messing with this idea at my latest camp location. At 3:00 you moved your C.A.M.P. module back to where you had it but still spawn at the new location by the front door of your camp? Sorry if I seem confused but I would've thought it would change your spawn point back to where it was originally.
@@charlesford157 that was my original spawn point and it shows up at the first of the video but the way I have it edited makes it confusing. I had to cut a lot of my footage out to get it to sink with the words and it didn’t come out near as clear as I wanted.
I wish theyd just give us a spawn point like at the workshop you can place down a pinpoint spawn location at a temporary workshop but not your camp what the hell
Thanks. But I thought that there was a spawn in "mat" you could build for yourself. IDK, I heard about that from another youtuber but I was never able to find it in my available build list. I'll try this instead.
The mats only work in workshops...Bethesda has never explained why they don't have them for our camps but some seem to think it is to try to prevent "trap" camps.
It's so Bethesda that you cannot simply walk to anywhere in your base, and select "Set spawn point" instead of the ridiculous trial and error with the camp. In fact, why mess about with the camp device in the first place?
There are spawn mats for workshops but they have never made them available for your camp. The spawn mats were available in Fallout 4. Must be a multiplayer thing 🤷♂️
They have it in the beginning but then scums use it for camp traps and ruin the use. So Bethesda disabled its function and it only works for workshop for sometime. Im not sure if it still works either for workshop Too bad, you're already calling them basically st*pid when they have done it since fallout 4...
