- ⚡️In lesson 2 of 'Making the changes' I share the way I map things out on the fretboard. It's all about learning to play horizontally and then combining it with vertical playing. This leads to fluency on the fretboard with chord tones.

Great help thanks. I especially liked the little "rule" because it gives a systematic way to ensure both horizontal and vertical approaches are practiced. Super handy once you move beyond always starting from the root.
Glad it was helpful!
Great stuff. Blowing up the "boxes." After being in those prison shapes for years, this is really like the jail break in an old Western movie. Or Dorothy, opening up the house door for the first time after it lands in Oz, going from black to color. Great stuff. Well done.
Thanks Don. That's the idea - trying to break away from those shapes for more fretboard freedom!
Thanks for the inspiration :)
No problem 😊
Muchas gracias maestro.
You're very welcome Salvador :)
Thanks Andy. Very much inline with The Advancing Guitarist, which you have recommended in the past.
Yes - that book has been very influential on my outlook on guitar in general.
Great videos
