This is the most beautiful rendition of Che Faro I have ever heard. Nathalie Stuzmann is absolutely amazing, she has the most gorgeous voice and she is such an artist, her phrasing and passion are magnificent.
In MY opinion, there's too much musicality in this version Orfeo aria. There's too much ornamentation, in this song, a man has lost his wife, and I don't think all this ornamentation is really necessary. All this musicality is not necessary. It's nice, don't get me wrong, she has a beautiful voice, very expressive, but I think she's overdoing it.
Kathleen Ferrier used less ornamentation and slower tempo. . Janer Baker also used less ornamentation did an amazingly emotional one at Glyndebourne crouched over and wrapped round the body of Eurydice. I like all these performances. I am puzzled by the photo of Inger Södergren Nathalies longtime pianist/ collaborator as this has orchestral accompaniment.

In the musical history of Gluck's Orfeo, multiple times it has been transposed the key, both up and down by the composer himself. Wikipedia has an interesting text that clarifies this.
@@ruthmcintyre2313 Hello Ruth....defenitely the picture doesn't reflect what is going on with the music,it is a very early recording ? Nathalie is so talented.....I think it was recorded much earlier in her career......probably a stock photo?

I assume it is her Orchestra Orfeo 55 , she also conducts please someone correct me if I am wrong.
@@lindaswan6655I don't know exactly when this recording was made, but it was certainly well before Orfeo 55, which Nathalie founded in 2009.
