@@JohnDoe-mv2be First off I need to say just how much of a Jonny Craig fan I've been over the past 12 years. However since he left Slaves, almost all of his music has become extremely one dimensional. It essentially sounds like White Man's R&B that is tailored exclusively to strippers and thots. Not only can I no longer identify with his lyrics, but they come across very depressing and homeless. Like if I had joined antifa and was living in a hippie commune but still owned a macbook pro, I would listen to his music type of vibe.

Yeah.. I listen to Odyssey all the time and it still feels new each time I listen.. I’ll go like a month without listening to it and then it’s just on repeat for the next week because it’s just so good.

Why? Why someone must have "disliked" This is pretty perfect music & song in general from Valiant Hearts like previous songs, also because I've been following them for a long time and I don't get enough of them, so a few "dislikes" made me really confused and to comment this. Keep up the good work!

From the time I first listened to your tracks from Odyssey, I pretty much knew I had a new favorite band. I got heavily into Odyssey and Wanderlust, and even picked up Nu Soul, and the evolution from Nu Soul up to this is incredible - Nu Soul was really good, and everything after it just gets increasingly better. Was already excited for Yonder and this just made me even more hyped, going to preorder it as soon as it's available!
First heard ya'll from Odyssey's Alaska popping up in my recommendations between Dance Gavin Dance and Polyphia binging. Felt right at home with your post-hardcore pop-punk melodies, with great lyricism painting that existential crisis anew. Great release!

Man am I happy my music taste has changed, y'all have easily become my new favorite band. The mixing of the instrumentals is fantastic, the extreme drums and guitar bits, and the crystal clear vocals.
If I may inquire, what's the setup you guys use to create your music? I'm trying to get into audio engineering/production a little bit.

We don't mix anything ourselves, I just home record vocals and then we usually get session guitars recorded at a studio by someone remotely after writing the tabs. Everything gets sent to a mix/master engineer afterwards :)

Ohhhhh okay that makes sense! Ah, since you record at home, do you just record your raw singing or do you use a DAW to modify the tonality or use some kind of reverb to give it that studio-quality addition to the instrumentals?
@@InvictaTLU My pleasure! When recording at home (or for anything that's going to be mixed) you should always record your raw audio and only add FX upon output or in the mixing process, never during the recording process otherwise you'll be stuck with raw audio input files for vocals that have FX pre-added to them, which makes them much harder to edit and mix.

This is great, the mixing is incredible (even tho I love Roman, this mix suits really well VH too)

Absolute banger, Odyssey, Wanderlust, and Galleons' self title are probably my favourite albums of all time and it seems Yonder is going to be just as good if not even better, what a present you guys just gave to us!

@@PatBauer89 Galleons is not the "main" project FYI, they're two separate and equal projects. I'm not sure where people keep getting this info from. I (Tom) am the only one from VH that crosses over to Galleons. Two separate groups of people.

Gonna be honest when I heard the sample of the chorus, I was a bit worried. But it's repeated just the right amount of times and it's just a straight banger I head bang too.
i sadly have to disagree with you. i was extremely disappointed with Elevated Being. The amount of times " i'm everywhere and nowhere all at once " was just starting to get extremely annoying... I don't know what happened to VH... But this Album definitely is way inferior than Odissey. Still a good Album. But not even close to how Great the Odissey one is.
Wanted to wait until the rest the album dropped, but I think this one's my favorite.

Tom's vocal are always on point, but I absolutely love Igor's work in Valiant Hearts. The new Galleons album is excellent, but listening to this now I realize what I was missing in it. No offense to the Galleons instrumentalists of course, Igor just resonates more with me personally.
