I love your beautiful chickens, and I could sit and listen to you talk about them all day. You do have an accent and your voice is just lovely. I am 70 yrs old, from Florida and I have a Southern accent too. I just have one little request. When you have a hen that needs a name, please would you name her "Verley" after my Nana? That's a very old Southern name and I would just love it if you ever choose to name one of your hens "Verley". 🥰
I will definitely, definitely do this! I have a vlog I’m going to post this week about one of my hen going broody and I candled her eggs. The eggs are going to hatch around next Monday. Judy is a name I have for one and now Verley will be one too.🥰🐣
You want to talk about crying. When all the fox attacks started it was bad, but when they got Belinda.😭 One day I am going to vlog about this, but I still get to emotional.🖤
What happened to the white leghorn rooster? How was his demeanor? Just found out I have a lone white leghorn rooster in the mix of my new batch of hens. Never had a rooster so hoping the white leg horn roosters have good temperament. Thanks your chickens are all so beautiful!
Popcorn got killed by a FOX! 😩 I have two hens from him, and they are great hens. Popcorn and Luke worked so well together too. You will be happy with the white leghorn. I love them. They are a little flighty, but wonderful temperament.🐓😊 They are great protectors also, that how I lost Popcorn. Luke and Popcorn died on the same day. They were both outside the yard protecting their flock. A mother fox and her 3 kits attacked the coop in broad daylight.😳
Oh that’s terrible. Mine free range all day also. I cried when my other hens passed. My one lone hen from my first flock that survived is not laying anymore though. She’s basicallly my little sassy pet. She definitely is still in charge, but I find her still wanting to away from all of the chickens and do her own thing except at night when it’s time to go in the coop. I guess she just has an attitude because she isn’t with her original flock? I love her lol the other hens don’t mess with her they know better. Lol she struts around but it does make me sad that she doesn’t want to interact. Any suggestions?
It could be age. I have some older ones like that. Ester was one of them and now she sitting on eggs, go figure.🤣 chickens are social creatures for sure, but when they want to be left alone, that’s it. She will probably warm up when she’s ready.😊
Thank you! Love your videos! I’m sure I will back with more questions! I’ve never had a rooster but like I said we accidentally ended up with the white leghorn rooster. He is only 6 weeks old though. It will be interesting to see how this works. Thanks again! 😊

Love it Karen! Your personality really makes the video! ❤ 🐓
You are too sweet! I guess when I get to talk about the things I love, it shows.🥰
This batch of 7 will soon be added into the existing flock of 9…8 of which are only 16 weeks and my one lone Brahma that’s 3 years old. Love chickens!
I enjoy watching your videos! Wish we had a big enough place to raise more chickens... just wondering...What happened to Tucker?
almost wanted to cry at the end when you did the tribute to the fallen.....

Can you talk about what you feed your chickens? I love all the names 😂
They free range, but I give them corn and Purina 16% laying pellets. 😊🐓
You never ask a woman how many chickens she has ....... it's like asking "how much do you weigh"? 😂 I always say "7"🤷🏻♀️😂😂
So true! 🤣🤣🤣🥰

And we’re getting ready to introduce an entire new flock as well! I hope she befriends Atleast one. I feel sorry for her.
