I subscribed just because you seem to “do it”. No drama and especially no click bait “almost died today bs”. Love the dog too.

      Thank You
That is exactly what I am trying to do with my videos.
They are just real videos, or me doing my job everyday.
Nothing is ever fake, nothing is ever setup, I don’t do any drama.
I will even sometimes not show my big mistakes on here as well.
      I don’t like drama. lol

First time watcher of your Chanel. I'm a retired saw doctor of over 30 years. I've worked in many timber mills and on portable saw mills. Listen to your mill running as it's going through the cut it sounds as if your mill is not running at its full rpms. I heard you say your belts are worn. This can also happen when running it at a to low a rpm. Just a helpful tip

There are several channels who ask people for money to become a member of their channel in order to help them grow and produce a better video. I don’t donate to them, but I would donate to you. All you have to do is request it in an honest manner repairs to your mill are important. If this is what you use it for then we will donate ,if you want a new bass boat forget it, we won’t donate to that. We only want you to see your old Mill. You’re a fascinating old Mill ,cut some massive set of spruce. I hope you listen to what I have said .take care God bless and I’ll see you on your next video.✌️🇨🇦

      Thanks Buddy -
It is so cool watching the big blades deep in the wood. They don’t spin that fast.
In the next videos I get the mill really dialed in cutting the 9’ 3x12’s
It runs at a low rpm, blades spinning slow and consistent spitting solid thick dust. It is really cool.

Great job sir! I can tell by how you work with your machine that you know it inside out and really do understand her personality. I saw with an ancient LT40 and I have to say I prefer the older machines. Keep up the good work and stay safe!

I used to build mandolins and i used Sitka spruce for the tops. Many big guitar makers use it too. Adarandock red spruce is famous tonewood also.

@secondgrowthhomes tonewoods need to be split from blocks so the grain will follow straight. The grain will be as quarter sawn. Most builders prefere close grain growth rings. 20 or more rings per inch.

I started with the mid section logs.
Medium - smaller sized out of the pile.
In the next videos I keep milling for 2-3 days.
The last log I cut at the end of order is really a nice tree.

      Yes.
It is a common size for big deck planking. 3x12.
These are ordered to deck a big landing craft that delivers freight across southeast Alaska.

      @Woodburner100 2 дня назад +1

We use lots of 3 by 10 or 12 for bridge decking in Alberta as well. And for setting heavy portable oilfield equipment on so it doesn’t sink in mud or freeze down
