I knew who she was before Alyssa, but I found her from people successfully getting her canceled from GameStop Gaming/Streaming and all her corporate sponsors dropping her in a min for being an open Christian.

I oppose SBI & other DEI consultancy firms for more than 1 reason but thd biggest is they inflate production budgets, which that is passed onto the customer. Not even talking the creative suspension they force on games. On top of that, the games they've worked on gameplay sucks, boring often plays itself with ridiculous Hollywood reject cutscenes. As a customer and my philosophy I refuse to partake in subsidizing this propaganda.

Where? What research? I'm 6:00 minutes in and hearing an alphabet soup about ESG and DEI and presumably about LMNOP in another minute. But I'm not seeing any sources in the video or cited in the underbar.
Where are we getting the data for these claims? Is this information taken from an academic paper or cobbled together from Grummz's Twitter? We are never told.

No gamers read Kotaku, for anything other than a joke. Mainstream games journalism is rife with people who have nothing but disdain for their audience. I’d love to see all these outlets shut down. The whole sector needs a hard reset.
Kim‘s exact words were “take the head of the marketing department out for coffee and terrify them about what will happen if you don’t get what you are asking for.” She is suggesting that her acolytes use terror to achieve political objectives, I think we have a word for that and I’m pretty sure that it is illegal.
The fact that she claims to have worked in the AAA space for decades would seem to refute her premise that she has been marginalized out of the industry. If SBI really had a single worker, with any skill whatsoever, they would simply create their own intellectual property rather than leaching on to an existing host. The fact that these people have already one a modest, first victory, enforcing Stellar Blade to self censor means they are still winning and we can’t let that happen.
Kim Belair's description of what a "sweet baby" is, is already very controversial: "sweet babies" are gamers who meekly confirm to HER ideals.
If I look at myself: I'm a crippled person in my 50's who has a rather rapidly failing health. Pain and discomfort are parts of my life and therefore I spend a lot of my time at home. I like to watch movies/series or play games to escape from the daily misery that pretty much is my life, which for many people IS what games are for: escapism. I DON'T need Sweet Baby Inc. to tell me what I am supposed to like, because I don't give a single toss about her ideals and I even question what makes their vision "the only right one", because that's pretty much what SBI claims. In other words: "hey SBI, who died and made YOU queen? What gives YOU the right to decide what others are ALLOWED to like?"
Shame the head of marketing seemingly never have to read the hundreds of gamer complaints sent by people upset by DEI and censorship. Maybe they should add new rules at companies that everyone has to read a customers complaint, and they are not allowed to do any other work until all letters are read. Meaning bad design decisions means weeks of no work being done due to complaints.
I’ve got a crazy idea: let’s all just hire the best applicant for the job, regardless of what they look like, what they believe, or what they do in the bedroom. Why can’t we do that?

Because too many companies were chasing ESG scores. If they shoved in DEI they can boost their score. It's the same formula that ruined Disney and destroyed a brand's like Bud light.

My level of discomfort in reading or hearing the words "diverse", "diversity", "equity", and or "inclusion" has grown immensely the last few months. Classic example: a tall guy, a medium height guy and a short guy want to watch a game on the other side of a fence, and they have three boxes to stand on. Equality means everyone gets one box... but while that gives the tall guy a very high viewpoint and the middle guy enough room to see, the short guy still can't see anything. But by giving one box to the medium guy and two boxes to the short guy, everyone can see the game.

My only critique would be, that if anything, I think your underselling just how much of a destructive force these consultancy firms have been and continue to be. Correlation may not always be causation however it is very clear that the involvement of SBI, and their ilk, have directly led to the closer of several studios and counting. Their level of control seems to very from project to project but make no mistake their influence is great and terrible indeed.

Imagine a multi ethnic Sub Saharan Africa in 1500. As a Kiwifarms member myself I can tell you that the Sweet Baby Inc. thing WASN'T mainstream and high profile (wasn't in the featured threads section) in the forums until the whole thing became mainstream.
It was most definitely buried within the immense volume of other threads and frequented by those autistic enough to know about it all.
Idk how much they get paid for destroying video games but they should make enough to hire a PR team. A marketing degree doesn't cover much of the marketing. First thing I would've done is prohibit my employees from interacting online with this. This could've faded if they hadn't gotten online and proven they were the stereotype. These people aren't hippies, they are ideologues and they are the ones who seek to conform all games and art to their DEI standard. Taking over all the western consultancy firms and game studios to generate only DEI content and trying to localize foreign games and art into line with DEI ideology before letting Western customers see them is what is fascist. actually, comparing us gamers with little children is a valid approach. Talking from my own perspective as a gamer, I want to flee the 'adult' world, full of restrictions, complex rules, responsibilities and real violence and war. I want to flee from that world, in a virtual world of my liking. I'm like a child that pulls the blanket over his head to disclose reality for a while, because it's intimidating and scary. And I'm more than 50 years old.
I'd like to congratulate SBI and the so called gaming journalists to bring discrimination in this industry to the attention of a very big audience, but not in the way they intended, but because they ruin gaming studios. They wanted to include every minority into every step of the creative process AND in the stories told by the games. But they failed miserably, because they de-prioritized talent and ignored the reality that EVERYBODY is a little bit of racist or excluding. In my case, when it comes to more intimate relations, I have clear preferences of gender. That doesn't mean I hate men in general. I just don't want to have sex with them. I don't even want to ponder the idea. But I'm perfectly fine with gay men or transgender or whatever with anything else but sex. My friends know that and don't bother me with it although I'm relatively sure that some of them are gay.
By shoving "gender" and "race" into everyone's face, SBI triggers everyone's little bit of reservation against whatever they are uncomfortable with. That is the exact opposite of what they intended, I guess. By prioritizing inclusion over talent, they weaken their customers' and their own company's skills.
SBI ignores the fact, that every gamer selects games mostly by genre, not by race or gender of the characters in the game. Gamers with cat allergy even play cats as main character, for heaven's sake!

Fighting games (also didnt knew you are married with TopHatGaming) ever since the world warrios, tried to respect to some extends cultural representations depending on their countries. There's not just T. Hawk but also Chief Thunder (Killer Instinct), Wolf Hawkfield (Virtua Fighter) and Nightwolf (Mortal Kombat) for Native American representations for example in this case. It takes time and research, as well as feedback to make a character that anyone can relate to. Hence why they're memorable.
When I see the work of those DEI consultant team, it's always for a political standpoint with a reflexion of themselves on the writing or development process. It's simply laziness

As much as I can praise the website for display the horror of scums like ZQ, Keffals, Momokun or Chris Chan....yeah, it can be downright scummy by their users.
i don't think you highlighted enough that they not only tried to get the list removed but more horribly tried to get reported on his private steam game account. considering how much money and time people can put into their gaming accounts it would have been a huge loss. His private game account should never have been a target it was just malicious harassment to silence their critics.

I’m not naive, there are bad actors still today, but there are far more who aren’t. and to be tarred with the same brush as racist, misogynistic, bigoted, transphobic homophobes is truly insulting.

I see... so while it SOUNDS nice on paper, the use of DEI by corporations tainted any good faith measure it COULD have delivered on. Maybe if it stuck to hiring practices ALONE, this whole DEI thing wouldn't be as toxic as it is made to be.
Having said that, I can sort of see why a forced agenda could be seen as triggering, as peppering that in just for the hell of it napalms any potential for a game. And with Sweet Baby Inc... putting the Toriyama drama aside for a moment, they wanted to be a hot shot chef in an industry with too many cooks... look where that got us.
SBI Detected and all the bad publicity means any game that wants to go woke will be released to a loud and hostile audience.

We need more journalists out there that have their ethics intact than rented out.
The simple truth of the matter is someone made a list of games that were tied to a specific company and didn't like them.
If the games were good, no one would care, the steam user wouldn't need to be cancelled, and the company would just continue on probably unaware that a single specific person disliked them.
But that's not what happened.
They made an entire mountain range out of a molehill because they knew deep down, that they are ruining everything they touch.
Because they operate under the belief and practice that it's easier to drag others through the mud than it is to produce products of quality that raise the standard rather than worsen it.

You're "sure" companies are working with Sweet Baby Inc for the money? Almost every single game they have helped with did not make back its budget. And they were working with some golden goose IPs. They have now put TWO whole game studios out of business, both of which had major publisher support, and STILL couldn't overcome the curse of garbage writing. I, for one, am not so "sure" that companies are salivating over these narrative "development" companies simply because of the mad cash.
What could prove your theory is if they all start getting dumped from projects posthaste, because THAT would be following the money. After trying something new that clearly didn't work, if you love money, you will change tack. SBI got lucky with God of War: Ragnarok, mostly because they didn't do much. The more trust they get from a game studio, the worse the results for the studio. CFOs have either noticed, or need replacing ASAP.
i enjoyed this video and its worth a like, wether sbi are the symptom or the cause i think between themselves and the journalists theres been a line drawn in the sand, and they seem to be at war with a large portion of their customer base, i think if their writing was as good as they thought it might be it would be easier to swallow but i see a lot of inclusivity based writing across a lot of media as flat

These gaming journalists & gaming consultants are cut from the same cloth. They are hypocritical, childish, spiteful & generally tend to hate just about everything that actual gamers like. Unfortunately for them, most ordinary people can just look up what they are saying to find out whether it's true or false. These gaming consultants should not be involved in video games at all. Especially not the creative side of things. As many of them have previously mentioned either in interviews or their personal social media pages, they don't really care about what gamers or fans want. They also don't even really care about video games in general. So they won't really be able to make anything substantial.
It's things like this which make me inclined to agree with Malstrom when he says the gaming industry actively hates gamers

Criticizing is "hatred". SBI's work can't be subjected to the slightest hint of critic).

From your report I get why the companies and consultants are chasing ESG money, but what's the motivation for journalist to write articles that favor DEI consultancy firms, but also drive down their credibility of their work and denigrate their media's primary market and there by financially hurting their employers?
