I may have gotten a stubborn Husky pup but I’m so thankful we can touch and bother him while he eats, and even trim his nails and brush without problems (as long as there’s a treat to chew, or else this puppy is gonna nip at the hands for shits and giggles). Whenever I get frustrated at him always eating dirt or being stubborn, I remind myself my pup is good at other stuff I’d rather not deal with; like resource gaurding
Exactly what I was looking for... My 6 months old pitbull it's just like his dog. I will do the same I hope it works with my dog. I had have try hand feeding and positive reinforcement methods but he always snap at me. I use anti bite gloves. W
My dog is 9months old and he does similar to this he doesn't bites the one giving the food but while preparing it's food if the other person comes he growl shows teeth and threatens us to back down I used to be afraid and I back down because I know how hard it can bite if it gets a hold almost take a chunk but he fears me and obeys everything So today I wore a boxing gloves(won't affect you hands and you can give uppercuts) and he did th same thing I just stood still and yelled at him the dangerous dog ran to other room in fear
Being food aggressive is a natural instinct. It's also necessary as that's the guard dog's talent. But it shouldn't be for the owner or family members.
His main intent is to just make you go away so he isn’t trying to rip your face off. That said, they are still committed bites that can and have done damage.
Sure, we can stop the behavior in 3 days with us, but 3 days is not enough time to help instruct an owner how to shift all the things they are doing wrong that led to this AND teach the dog all of their on and off leash obedience training :)
Why everyone gotta be so extra. Drop the food on the floor and start eating a piece. Your dog will know its food for you too. When it comes to eat and if it shows you aggression BAM, Discipline your dog. Your its daddy, you are feeding it. It will learn in 1 day
Having the dog food motivated is the first step to working through food aggression. If they dilly dally with their meals or take too long to eat it that gives them more of an opportunity to make a production out of things and guard the food. Having them not eat all their food is a tell tale sign that they are being fed too much as well. We have a full blog post on fixing this on our website at Miraclek9training.com
@@MiracleK9Training Well that's two human years to a dog ...There are techniques which will never take longer than a 3 weeks.....That's All..if you have the time and your technique works for you ? Cool
@@MiracleK9Training the video said it took 10 weeks... And the method of approaching the leash while the dog is eating is one of the least effective methods although it's great for people with little training but lots of time on their hands
@@anthonyburton8393 the before footage was from prior to the owner starting training with us that they provided. The dog did a 10 session program to work on all of his training not just the food aggression. It didn’t take 10 weeks to get him to stop guarding the bowl. Wanna try again?
@@MiracleK9Training anymore than 3 sessions is a failed program and not impressive in the least especially not when using an old antiquated method that only beginner trainers need to use

I completely agree with you on getting lucky with the issues you've experienced haha.
Brave of you to do it without a muzzle
I was working with a husky with a bite record yesterday and you know how fun they can be lol
That was actually the owner in the video that provided that video prior to starting the training.

I have a 4-month-old Cane Corso and I am facing this issue... How should I handle it and what is the correct way?"
you need to hire a trainer to safely walk you through it. If you're interested we offer virtual training sessions.
Surely if would be great to include steps for you did?
We have plenty of posts talking about how we work through resource guarding! You can search for it on our page.

Many times showing them their intimidation tactics don’t work is enough.

When he charges you, does he actually bite?

I see you using them dog daddy tactics when that dog lunged at you, hopefully you dont get canceled by zak george now
That video is actually from prior to the owner starting training with us. That is the owner himself doing whatever he needed to to protect himself.

Because its incredible incompetent.
Because he taught people nothing here 😂, skipped to oh problem solved
What to do if he doesn't eat the food but still guard's it.

10 weeks!?😂😂😂

10 weeks is way too long
Doesn't count if she's wearing an e collar. That's just another form of intimidation.
Whatever you say.
The funniest thing about this comment to me is how confidently you said it yet you’re so wrong
Should never use ecollar for resource guarding. Trading resources and sharing is the only way to have success.
@michele Wood definitely not true lol.
Fastest way, beat dog so hard, and then the dog will learn not to do that
Put it down.
Well this is ignorant.. lol

I can see the E-Collar, at the end if he got better then that's alright
