Keep in mind, LMG08 and Parabellum are very different weapons, and I don't hear this enough - the main difference is, with LMG08, you really want to use it at mid range with sights, and Parabellum is a lot better at closer range and a lot more capable at hipfire. Both are great weapons, but within their limitations.
the “N.A” on the MG/15 stand’s for “New model” in german. the weapon, when deployed for the fist time by the germans, was heavy and overheated quickly. Then they made much more lighter,mobile and and slightly more reliable, which is where the “N.A” comes from!
The Burton will always have a special place in my Heart, because after nearly going insane trying to get 2 planes killed, a friend recommended using the Burton and i got the objective done in one Match. Unlocked the Parabellum, still mainly use the Burton to this day
I’ve mostly agreed with all of the rankings so far, and I 100% agree that the Parabellum is the best gun in the game. The only thing I would really change on this list would to move the Lewis Gun up a tier, I’ve had some excellent rounds with it. (Also the n.A. after MG 15 stands for neuer Art, it means "new model.")
I can tell you most definitely have a preferred play style. The LMG’s have by far the most disparity in the way they function in certain situations, and you seem to appreciate the aggressive ones over the defensive ones. I play Operations exclusively and LOVE defending. Favorite match I ever played was defending the last sector at Fao Fortress and carrying the game from the tower with an AA gun overlooking one of the objectives with the Perino Defensive, because the tripod is cool and looks are 50% of my opinion on guns. Sure, I killed a few dudes who entered the objective and stopped a few flanks from behind, but the REAL service I did was using that big beautiful machine gun to demolish six or seven Ilya Muromets bombers practically the moment they spawned. If one of those made a good run it could clean out the whole fort. I see a lot of people complain that they’re OP but I hardly see anyone ever trying to shoot them down.
I personally tend towards trick weapons - General Liu, Burton LMG, and the 1903 Experimental. Even if they aren't actually the best for it, I like having dedicated settings for different types of situations, be it an enemy too far for an slr, too close for a sniper, or if a plane is ruining my day.

I play with the BAR telescopic, because its so versatile, and has blisteringly fast rpm. Hip fire will beat most opponents in cqb, at mid range the inaccuracy is manageable with burst firing and surprisingly decent on full auto. if you need to put down some accurate long range fire, the bipod makes it a laser beam. It feels like a real powerhouse at every range, which will usually be close up because its impossible not be aggressive with it. Its for players wanting to stick with tip of the spear assaults. The 20 ammo capacity is low, so it took me a while to restrain both full auto and reload after each kill (the reload is agonizingly slow and i always seem to get caught mid relaod) I cant believe you hate support class lol, i love it, unlimited smoke grenades to troll tanks and infantry is so much fun. Plus you get to play bob the builder with the wrench 🔧
My 2 favorite weapons in the game: Close- to mid range ---> Parabellum low weight (it absolutely shreds enemies from close range when using hipfire) Mid- to long range ---> MG1917 low weight (it's slow but it has an awesome magazine of 250 rounds and is pretty accurate when going prone, I,ve killed lots of snipers with it)
Pretty solid list overall, but I have to strongly disagree with the Perino 1908 being in D-tier. Yeah it's a bit poor damage wise, and the iron sights aren't great; however, contrary to what you said, I think it's actually really accurate with low recoil, and the unique reload mechanic is really underrated. Maybe it's just because I have performed really well with it, but I think at absolute minimum C-tier is where it belongs.

I use the M1917, but rarely as a hilltop camper. Instead, I spawn at an objective my team has captured/fallen back to, find a good sight line, and use it to keep the enemy at bay. Because of its unrivalled ammo capacity, it's amazing for defending against swarms of enemies. It's arguably more annoying for the enemy, since you're actively preventing them from winning the game, but at least you're doing something to help your team.
Great Tier List you got going on! Keep it up. Mind you, I play Medic MOST of the time, but play Support when there's not enough ammo going out on the battlefield, when my side is in their own little world , off thinking that they're "Rambo", as a Support class, and FORGET to supply the Team with AMMO!!! . Tho, I have to say imma fan of the Benet-Mercie LMG, ONLY for its ONE redeeming quality above all other Support weapons. And that is, IF you equip the 4x Magnification and your scope of choosing(preferably the Cross or Cheveron, imo), you've just become THE "Counter-Sniper" for your Team. The Benet generally has a bit more accuracy, ALMOST "laserlike" quality, than the other LMG's at long range. anything below mid-range, you've JUST become THE turkey ,at a "Turkey Shoot-out", and might as well just choose another weapon or class...lol
The Benet Mercie is my favorite weapon. You will get to a point where you don't need a good LMG to win. The Benet Mercie has been with us since the beginning. It's time to put down the hellriegel/img 08/parabellum/cancer weapons and play the game how it was supposed to be played; with odd machine guns with a slow fire rate.
I can confirm, using the Pieper M1893 makes you lose a part of yourself. I decided it would be a great idea to get two service stars with this thing and I must say, I have never had an actual mental breakdown over using a certain weapon before. Using the Pieper might be the worst experience I've ever had in a video game, hell, it'd be one of the worst experiences I've had period. I'd rather actually go to war than use this thing for one more round. I got those two service stars, but at what cost?
I know the console meta ends up being surprisingly different and personally I don't like the weapon either; but I've seen people do some crazy things with the benet mercie. 99 service stars going 60-10 in matches and out gunning slrs at range. My favorite is the chauchat though I love the combo of damage range and hipfire
25:03 I have to admit, I'm one of these guys. When you position yourself right with the telescope variant, for example on one side of a lane and with some distance - the amount of kills you will get is INSANE. This gets even better as a defender in Operations because people are so focused on the objective, that they wouldn't even look into your direction. I got runs with up to 35 kills in one go. Besides with the telescope you can spot the over the whole map.
Disagree on the parabellum. That weapon fires more ghost bullets at 10m than any of the other lmg by far. Gets outshot by more accurate but slower firing lmg.
Huot automatic is the only gun I got 100 stars on. The gun was fun to use and you could drop 2-3 enemies with a single mag and at a distance it was amazing.
I am a playstation player and i mostly agree with this list with a few exceptions. I think the perino should be one tier higher because it has literally zero recoil and i actually do like the iron sights (+ its just a cool gun), the burton is B tier imo because of the mag size + fire rate you burn through ammo and have to reload a lot and the mags also obstruct a part of your vision and the BAR and Chauchat are both A tier for me. The BAR storm variant is so fucking great, it kills fast and has easy to control vertical recoil and the chauchat does a lot of damage with also easy to control recoil + it had a bipod which makes it a laser that has 3 shot kill potential. This is my opinion
My best support weapon is actually the Lewis gun suppressive. I will admit I can be a bit of a camper sometimes, but I prefer to think of it as playing in a more historically accurate way. I provide cover for the sweaty tryhard assault players as they take the objectives, and suppress enemy snipers

I’m on console and haven’t unlocked the Parabellum yet, but so far can’t connect with any LMG but the MG15, reminds me the most of M60 type guns from other games. I weirdly find the LW to still be more accurate while standing up than the storm, I really wanted to like that variant but the bullets just don’t go where I need them, the idea of it is amazing though and so wonder if on console it goes harder.
The only position I very much disagree with is Chauchat. For me and for many experienced players this is the best LMG in the game. The most balanced and universal LMG for any distance. The laser beam in terms of accuracy, good for a long distance if used on a bipod, and also deals very powerful damage. At medium range it destroys almost everything, at close range it is also quite a worthwhile thing: if one of the two bullets hits the head, it kills the enemy with 2 shots (it happens very often, I was regularly called a cheater because of this). I also partially disagree with the position of M1917 LMG. A completely unique thing that is effective both against aircraft and infantry at long and medium distances. Be sure to use correct perks and the bipod. An absolutely unique weapon that has no alternatives at medium and long range, except, perhaps, the Shosha LMG. For me, category C is: Parabellum, LMG 08 (close and medium range), Chauchat (all distances) and M1917 LMG (medium and long distances). These are really OP guns!
Unlocking the parabellum was a breeze with the Burton bc its fire rounds (forgot the name lol) just melt the plane and destroy its wings, then I can switch back to regular and just lead my shots and destroy the plane, I ran with a squad on cape helles all using the burton and planes just melted when in sight and the chat was stellar to react to
No shot the BAR is the same tier as the MG15... After the first shot from the MG15 Storm while moving, the accuracy will be at 1.615 degrees, and it takes 7 shots to reach minspread. Compare that to the BAR Storm, which's accuracy after the first shot will be a 0.985 degrees and will take only 5 shots to reach minspread and will acheive that way faster because of the faster RPM. Combined with the fact that the MG15 has way more hrec than the BAR (.35 degrees vs .26 degrees) and the only thing it has going for it is the 100 round belt. I completely disagree with you stating that the MG15 is the most accurate "aggressive LMG" (even the Burton has less hrec lol). Also storm variants do not improve moving accuracy. All they do is reduce recoil by applying a 0.8x multiplier to vrec and hrec.
I'd say Burton, BAR, M1917 are S tier because they are REALLY good for close, mid, long range respectively. The rest of the LMGs are pretty good too, depending on what you'd expect from them (e.g. IMG0818 is just BAR with worse recoil but with bipod and big mag, aka bipod pubstomber).
Idk what your talking about with the perino I agree on the irons but it’s equally as steady unsupported and shoots faster than m1917 at least the low weight does
I agree that the piper M1893 is garbage. But I’m not gonna lie it’s kind of a guilty pleasure of mine and idk why because like u explained it sucks at everything. I guess it’s just really satisfying to get a kill on someone with a shit weapon. Especially if they are smg 08 users :)
I don't agree with somethings, for example I would have put the Burton lmg or at D tier or at C, because it works more like a bad version of an smg with those clips covering your visual and I would have put the perino at B, because it's pretty accurate and it doesn't have any recoil. But that's only my opinion and I respect yours.
The overall best is the Parabellum low weight. For the greater good of Support, I will divulge how you can slapa' da ass. - Since the big LMGs are slower to ADS than pretty much every other weapon in the game, you want to try to avoid aiming down sights if you find yourself in a CQC situation. So learning to hip-fire within certain ranges is important, and knowing that boundary range where hip-firing becomes impractical. But up close the Parabellum will rip through opponents. Just keep in mind that you'll be burning through ammo, faster or slower depending on your finger discipline. The reload time is 6-7.3s depending on when you initiate it. - Here's the big one that I'm assuming most people don't realize because when I'm playing it's not apparent that they do. The Parabellum is ass if you try to do full auto even out to the mid-range. And while you can tap-fire out to the mid-range and be successful against lots of players, if you come up against a good medic/marksman, you're toast. (this is one reason I use gas; to take away that range advantage and force them to mask up or move) ..... BUT! The first shot is very accurate, and the recovery time between tapping single shots is pretty fast. It's only after that first shot when the accuracy goes to shit. So taking advantage of this first shot accuracy and recovery time is the key. And considering that the bullet velocity with the big LMGs is among the fastest in the game, only slightly below the sniper rifles, all of this collectively means that the Parabellum 'can be' usable at all rangers, if not outright excelling... Not counting user error, the only weakness it has is the long road times. So timing those are important. My tag on Xbox is Archimedes 3000 and Parabellum is my #1 gun. I can't remember the exact number but I've got over 13,000 kills with it. 👌
You mean to tell me, as of this writing I’m one of the only people to actually main the Burton? Then again, when people think of a Support class in this game, they think of someone using a MG15. I usually prefer mid to close range combat, rushing in blind to confuse the enemy, whilst making an opening for the team.

Again this is mostly what i would say with a few tweaks. The main downsides of the lmg-08 and the parabellum are the horizontal recoil values and minspread values. they are essentially big mag smgs at close range that have best in class TTK but somewhat limited range capabilities (0-12 meters is optimal but good players can extend this somewhat). I would put both of these in A tier because they are great, but not the best. in S tier i would probably put the bar m1918 trench and the burton lmr. the reason i would do this is that i feel the bar trench has very comparable TTK to the RPM chainsaws such as parabellum when you consider the fact you dont have to ads in the 0-12 meter range. Also the distances you can extend the bars somewhat high ttk is kinda disgusting sometimes. similar things can also be said about the burton in terms of TTK and disgusting range, but it also has the ability to instantly disable planes engines/wings with incendiary, which can make them f off if they are really being a nuisance. I would also put the M1917 in F tier because the bipod meta is cancer, and players who use this weapon actively partake in a playstyle that makes me want to bash my keyboard against the nearest wall. if smgs didn’t exist however, i would agree with your placements of the parabellum and LMG 08/18. Other than that, great content as always dude!
Excellent list so far but the reason to why I don't run MG-14/17 It has to do with it's fire rate being uncontrollable and if you deploy the bipod It has a tendency to over shoot your target by simply climbing upwards. Speaking of the M1909 machine gun I actually find it useful if you need to engage someone from close quarters to long range out to 100 m if you are using the telescopic version. It is my go to weapon
I use the 1917 telescopic a lot. No, I am not sorry. I get enjoyment harassing camped out scouts picking them off as they try to run to different cover.

What is the bar I want to help people out with some classification here the bar and things like it or considered automatic rifles it's in the same class as the modern m 27 these other rifles that are designed to fill a similar role to a saw squad automatic weapon like the m249 they do not have a quick-change Barrel the barrels is not heavier than our normal barrel they have limited box mag and the modern ones are designed around accurate burst of fire even the older ones had that same general ideal the one more thing that I realized most of the rifles in this game or not assault rifles because to be classified as a salt rifle it has to have both semi-automatic fire and full all that with you only have one or the other than it's not considered a a assault rifle I've been studying the different kinds of gun classification because that used to be my job and I found it pretty interesting

All you need is a little bit of understanding what recoil and spread are, how to combat it, and suddenly, you can enjoy using all the cool weapons Battlefield has to offer. Ya people that do that with the m1917 are the most annoying players in the game. I killed one with the gas mask once. I do use the m1917 but only for actually defending the objective and only when I'm playing as the Americans becuase I play with country accurate weapons.

But yeah, I didn't want to put the Madsen in C Tier originally, but my logic was the BAR was a better version of it and the Burton was a better version of the BAR... so I kinda had to just 1, 2, 3 it, yunno? I think the perino should be one tier higher because it has literally zero recoil and i actually do like the iron sights (+ its just a cool gun), the burton is B tier imo because of the mag size + fire rate you burn through ammo and have to reload a lot and the mags also obstruct a part of your vision and the BAR and Chauchat are both A tier for me. The BAR storm variant is so fucking great, it kills fast and has easy to control vertical recoil and the chauchat does a lot of damage with also easy to control recoil + it had a bipod which makes it a laser that has 3 shot kill potential. This is my opinion
My best support weapon is actually the Lewis gun suppressive. I will admit I can be a bit of a camper sometimes, but I prefer to think of it as playing in a more historically accurate way. I provide cover for the sweaty tryhard assault players as they take the objectives, and suppress enemy snipers

I’m on console and haven’t unlocked the Parabellum yet, but so far can’t connect with any LMG but the MG15, reminds me the most of M60 type guns from other games. I weirdly find the LW to still be more accurate while standing up than the storm, I really wanted to like that variant but the bullets just don’t go where I need them, the idea of it is amazing though and so wonder if on console it goes harder.
The only position I very much disagree with is Chauchat.
For me and for many experienced players this is the best LMG in the game. The most balanced and universal LMG for any distance. The laser beam in terms of accuracy, good for a long distance if used on a bipod, and also deals very powerful damage. At medium range it destroys almost everything, at close range it is also quite a worthwhile thing: if one of the two bullets hits the head, it kills the enemy with 2 shots (it happens very often, I was regularly called a cheater because of this).
I also partially disagree with the position of M1917 LMG. A completely unique thing that is effective both against aircraft and infantry at long and medium distances. Be sure to use correct perks and the bipod. An absolutely unique weapon that has no alternatives at medium and long range, except, perhaps, the Shosha LMG.
For me, category C is: Parabellum, LMG 08 (close and medium range), Chauchat (all distances) and M1917 LMG (medium and long distances). These are really OP guns!
Unlocking the parabellum was a breeze with the Burton bc its fire rounds (forgot the name lol) just melt the plane and destroy its wings, then I can switch back to regular and just lead my shots and destroy the plane, I ran with a squad on cape helles all using the burton and planes just melted when in sight and the chat was stellar to react to
i can already tell you have played with the weapons in support class and know a lot..good tier list.
No shot the BAR is the same tier as the MG15...
After the first shot from the MG15 Storm while moving, the accuracy will be at 1.615 degrees, and it takes 7 shots to reach minspread. Compare that to the BAR Storm, which's accuracy after the first shot will be a 0.985 degrees and will take only 5 shots to reach minspread and will acheive that way faster because of the faster RPM.
Combined with the fact that the MG15 has way more hrec than the BAR (.35 degrees vs .26 degrees) and the only thing it has going for it is the 100 round belt. I completely disagree with you stating that the MG15 is the most accurate "aggressive LMG" (even the Burton has less hrec lol).
Also storm variants do not improve moving accuracy. All they do is reduce recoil by applying a 0.8x multiplier to vrec and hrec.
Never liked m1917 much, always preferred perino instead. But! After watching your reaction I'm definitely gonna use m1917 to get that nerd rage 😏
I'd say Burton, BAR, M1917 are S tier because they are REALLY good for close, mid, long range respectively. The rest of the LMGs are pretty good too, depending on what you'd expect from them (e.g. IMG0818 is just BAR with worse recoil but with bipod and big mag, aka bipod pubstomber).

I don't agree with somethings, for example I would have put the Burton lmg or at D tier or at C, because it works more like a bad version of an smg with those clips covering your visual and I would have put the perino at B, because it's pretty accurate and it doesn't have any recoil. The overall best is the Parabellum low weight. For the greater good of Support, I will divulge how you can slapa' da ass.
- Since the big LMGs are slower to ADS than pretty much every other weapon in the game, you want to try to avoid aiming down sights if you find yourself in a CQC situation. So learning to hip-fire within certain ranges is important, and knowing that boundary range where hip-firing becomes impractical. But up close the Parabellum will rip through opponents. Just keep in mind that you'll be burning through ammo, faster or slower depending on your finger discipline. The reload time is 6-7.3s depending on when you initiate it.
- Here's the big one that I'm assuming most people don't realize because when I'm playing it's not apparent that they do. The Parabellum is ass if you try to do full auto even out to the mid-range. And while you can tap-fire out to the mid-range and be successful against lots of players, if you come up against a good medic/marksman, you're toast.
(this is one reason I use gas; to take away that range advantage and force them to mask up or move)
..... BUT! The first shot is very accurate, and the recovery time between tapping single shots is pretty fast. It's only after that first shot when the accuracy goes to shit. So taking advantage of this first shot accuracy and recovery time is the key. And considering that the bullet velocity with the big LMGs is among the fastest in the game, only slightly below the sniper rifles, all of this collectively means that the Parabellum 'can be' usable at all rangers, if not outright excelling... Not counting user error, the only weakness it has is the long road times. So timing those are important.
My tag on Xbox is Archimedes 3000 and Parabellum is my #1 gun. I can't remember the exact number but I've got over 13,000 kills with it. 👌
You mean to tell me, as of this writing I’m one of the only people to actually main the Burton? Then again, when people think of a Support class in this game, they think of someone using a MG15. I usually prefer mid to close range combat, rushing in blind to confuse the enemy, whilst making an opening for the team.

Again this is mostly what i would say with a few tweaks. The main downsides of the lmg-08 and the parabellum are the horizontal recoil values and minspread values. they are essentially big mag smgs at close range that have best in class TTK but somewhat limited range capabilities (0-12 meters is optimal but good players can extend this somewhat). I would put both of these in A tier because they are great, but not the best. in S tier i would probably put the bar m1918 trench and the burton lmr. the reason i would do this is that i feel the bar trench has very comparable TTK to the RPM chainsaws such as parabellum when you consider the fact you dont have to ads in the 0-12 meter range. Also the distances you can extend the bars somewhat high ttk is kinda disgusting sometimes. similar things can also be said about the burton in terms of TTK and disgusting range, but it also has the ability to instantly disable planes engines/wings with incendiary, which can make them f off if they are really being a nuisance. I would also put the M1917 in F tier because the bipod meta is cancer, and players who use this weapon actively partake in a playstyle that makes me want to bash my keyboard against the nearest wall. if smgs didn’t exist however, i would agree with your placements of the parabellum and LMG 08/18. Other than that, great content as always dude!

Excellent list so far but the reason to why I don't run MG-14/17 It has to do with it's fire rate being uncontrollable and if you deploy the bipod It has a tendency to over shoot your target by simply climbing upwards. Speaking of the M1909 machine gun I actually find it useful if you need to engage someone from close quarters to long range out to 100 m if you are using the telescopic version. It is my go to weapon
I use the 1917 telescopic a lot. No, I am not sorry. I get enjoyment harassing camped out scouts picking them off as they try to run to different cover.

I want to help people out with some classification here the bar and things like it or considered automatic rifles it's in the same class as the modern m 27 these other rifles that are designed to fill a similar role to a saw squad automatic weapon like the m249 they do not have a quick-change Barrel the barrels is not heavier than our normal barrel they have limited box mag and the modern ones are designed around accurate burst of fire even the older ones had that same general ideal the one more thing that I realized most of the rifles in this game or not assault rifles because to be classified as a salt rifle it has to have both semi-automatic fire and full all that with you only have one or the other than it's not considered a a assault rifle I've been studying the different kinds of gun classification because that used to be my job and I found it pretty interesting

Bloom and inaccurate automatic fire is what makes me mostly use Recon.
All you need is a little bit of understanding what recoil and spread are, how to combat it, and suddenly, you can enjoy using all the cool weapons Battlefield has to offer. It sounds quite sad that you're unable to use anything but sniper rifles, because you don't understand the gunplay. There is never too late to start experimenting and learn something new!
Ya people that do that with the m1917 are the most annoying players in the game. I killed one with the gas mask once. I do use the m1917 but only for actually defending the objective and only when I'm playing as the Americans becuase I play with country accurate weapons.
