A beautiful cute talking budgie . The actions & interactions more humanly than a bird . How much happiness the owner had received from dieter. God Bless .
+Kerrah S that would be both , the awesome part is to listen hard enough because they can and do speak distinctly but how they put words together for a sentence is crazier than a 2 year old human learning to speak and the ambient noises that they pick up as well
+mimi wald The green and yellow "budgie" is merely a toy to provide companionship. Coincidentally he is trying to mate with it which is rather common x
Actually, it's best to have one bird and give it proper attention. Birds will bond to a single other being. They will bond amazingly to a single human. That human needs to provide activity and attention. If you don't plan to give your bird attention, you shouldn't have a bird at all. Having more than one bird is not good. Yes, they won't be lonely, but, they will bond to each other and not care about the humans. Often becoming mean or aggressive towards humans. So it's best to not own birds, or have one only if you will give it proper attention.
It's not best, it's selfish and cruel. Yes, they do bond to people, but a human is not the same as a same specis partner! They're flock birds, they're used to having others around them. Imagine you'd have to live without a single person around you, how would you feel? And what's more important? YOU being happy, or your bird? :/ So what if it's more interested in its partner or friend? That's how it should be, that's healthy, normal behaviour. And even if you do own many, they can still be tame. I know many people with entire flocks of budgies even, and some of them immediatly greet their owner when they see them, sit on them, sing to them, demand scratches etc. Your pets happiness should be more important than your own selfishness, you don't have to be your pets center of the world. Let the birds be birds. :)
JimmyTulip1 I suggest you check out my videos. I have kept over 100 species of animals and bred over 50 species. I kept and bred hamsters and birds when I was under 10 years old. I worked as a vet tech for a few years before college as well. I also had a parakeet from 4 till 21 years old that lived to be around 17 years old and I took everywhere in my shirt! I would take her in my pocket from school to my brothers track meets when I was 10 years old. To on my shoulder on my bike and skateboard riding around town to the park and more. Birds can be awesome pets if you treat them like a dog - in the sense you give them a ton of attention! If you don't plan to give your bird 3+ hours a day of interaction, then don't own a bird.
Owning birds and/or breeding them does, sadly, not make you an expert- and children should NEVER breed! It's risky and stressful for birds, there's a lot of things that can go terribly wrong. I, like Jimmy, own 7 budgies and they're happy together, they like it when I talk to them, but prefer playing with each other rather than with me. And it's fine. As I said, I had a female that was different, but she died last year of an infection, leaving me heartbroken.
Ultimate SHSL Trash Never had an ill bird myself. I bred all types of pets under age 10. All successful and perfect calm tame pets. But, I am not the norm I agree. I've always excelled.
He sounds like he's trying to revive the bird cause he thinks it's dead. I think I'm the only one hearing actual conversations in the birds speech. "Budgie Budgie, Oh dear!"
Wow , ist das ein putziger Pieper , supi. Danke für die tolle Aufnahme und ich wünsche euch einen wundervollen Sonntag und liebe Grüße aus Flensburg. 🐦🐥🐤🐥🐦🕊🐣🐦♥️♥️♥️
Poor little guy . . . He wants his friend Dierter to get up & play with him. Your budgie is personality-plus and smart as a whip. How fortunate you are to have him as a member of ur family. Give him lots of kissy-kisses as he certainly deserves every one of those kisses! . . . . . P.S. If you haven't already thought about this, it may be a good idea to remove Dieter'2 from Dieter's presence as he might have anxiety attacks over the idea his friend isn't waking. His heart ❤️double-beats aft his attempts to arouse lil'Dieter'2. His emotions aren't much different than ours would be in a similar situation (although I'm sure there are those that would argue this point🙃). Enjoy & appreciate your little guy . . He's a treasure!
I spent 30mins going crazy looking for this video that i saw 5 years ago. I played this for my beautiful budgie but he died recently and i wanted to play this my new young budgie but hes so violent with his toys and personality is just to bite on anything like walls, wallpaper, mirrors, floor.
Oh, this is the CUTEST budgie, hahaha, what a talker! Glad he's got that stuffie. I always had a budgie growing up, always tamed them myself, and THIS, unfortunately is what happens with a MALE and a FEMALE budgie when they reach sexual maturity. Just like any other bird. Their instinct is to mate and nest. Lucky for budgies they don't develop the major issues that bigger parrots do.
Wow, he's really going for it! My budgie does exactly the same to the bell in his cage, haven't caught it on camera but feel free to check out the other budgie stuff on my channel...
Dieter was 9 when he succumbed to cancer. He fell very ill in mid August. We have access to some of the best avian vets in the state, and they doubted he would last 2 more days. He hung on for 2 more months. His last words were just "Hey Dieter", in a whisper.
9 YEARS?! That's good considering they have a lifespan of 5-10. I don't understand why there are so many thumbs down for this video. Thanks for sharing and taking care of the little guy. I wonder if English Budgies (since their domesticated) will live longer?
My oldest budgies were 15 and one of my grandmother's was 21 yo when he died (none of them were English ones). I always kept 2 or more together (the more the better), that poor Dieter is just missing a (living) buddy :
The weird sounds are actually the bird talking. I had a parakeet that used that voice when it imitated me or my family. He even learned to say "shut up" after my sister got frequently annoyed with him. They are such cute animals!
*IMPORTANT WARNING FOR PET BIRD OWNERS:* The food that we normally give to the canaries (and other companion birds) consisting of a "complete, balanced and top-quality seeds mixture" bought in pet stores or malls, makes the owners trust that their pet is well fed, but it's not so: indeed the birds health is at serious risk. The owners of canaries, parrots, cockatoos, budgies, cockatiels, etc., WE MUST PAY ATTENTION TO DOMESTIC BIRD BREEDERS AND VETS and keep in mind that although we feed them with such a typical seeds mixture, our birds are very likely in danger of suffering an unexpected, painful and practically inevitable PREMATURE DEATH BY FATTY LIVER DISEASE. Canaries, for example, will surely die at 4 - 7 years of age of the more than 14 that they can live. It's sad that pet birds are fated to die early and painfully in so many cases. You have to warn people to avoid it! This deadly disease is very common in pet birds but owners usually don’t know or detect it in time. And we can’t imagine that *THE CAUSE IS IN THE FOOD ITSELF* that we provide to our birds, in which such *a typical mixture contains low-fat seeds such as canary seed together with other VERY fatty seeds such as niger, hemp or nabine and, in addition, the birds usually prefer to eat the fatty seeds* so that their REAL DIET is unbalanced by excessive fat, gradually causes the fatty infiltration of the liver and in a few years causes fatty liver hepatitis and PREMATURE DEATH to pet birds. *Also the fruits and specially the breeding paste and its pigments and the sunflower seeds can attack the liver* if they are taken too much or for too long. It's a cruel disease that progresses silently and, when its unexpected symptoms begin, they are easily confused with other ailments so the owners usually postpone the visit to the vet at a time already critical for the life of the bird (besides that not all vets are trained to recognize this elusive and misleading disease, even to administer lipotropic and regenerative liver protectors in curative doses, just in case it's that and not a supposed blow). It's a process of slow and asymptomatic progression, but when their visible symptoms begin (acute phase) the disease accelerates. *SYMPTOMS OF THE ACUTE PHASE OF FATTY LIVER DISEASE:* First, progressive sadness and/or pecking, hard belly (in many cases, with a dark spot with a half-moon shape on the belly, which seems a "tumor", to see it you have to wet your fingers to remove the down), falls from the sticks of the cage that seem for "errors of calculation" and then lameness (that make believe that they are by the previous falls, but both symptoms are due to that it hurts the liver), lack of flight and singing, the bird fluffs up his feathers or bends more or less slowly; Then, within a few weeks or a few days, heavy breathing with open beak, remaining lying on the floor of the cage near the food, sudden spasms from time to time (which make people believe that the bird is "epileptic" but it are twinges of pain of diseased liver), abundant greenish poop (caused by biliverdin which if it's not fasting, it means hepatic harm), then black and watery (from hepatic hemorrhages), then a strange purplish color of skin and beak, an excessive appetite and the final "improvement" of a few days (in the last phase, the already degenerated liver becomes deflated by what the bird seems to ameliorate), after which it suddenly dies among seizures (which may seem a heart infarct). For the first symptoms the liver has already degenerated to 80% and only an urgent (and accurate) vet action can save your bird and revert the liver situation. If you simply feed your bird with the loose seeds mixture (even if you give it fresh fruits, vegetables and let it exercise, for example by letting it out of the cage at home), right now your pet's liver is degenerating, and neither you nor your bird know. *Without liver protectors, it's almost certain that your bird will die early and in many cases you won’t be able to determine its real cause.* Hepatic lipidosis it's not only deadly by itself when the visible symptoms begin (sometimes even it does not warn at all until few moments before the death). Even before the acute phase it predisposes the bird to suffer infections, as it weakens the immune system. Obese pet birds have an higher risk of many other diseases, like arthritis, heart disease and cancer. Obesity in birds it's not so apparent but it's more dangerous than in other animals like mammals. So in addition to giving to the birds lipotropic and detox / regenerating hepatic protectors preventively and routinely, breeders usually make their own mixtures with low fat seeds. *PREVENTION AND/OR TREATMENT:* The time to act is NOW that your bird doesn’t have yet the visible symptoms. It's necessary to ACTIVELY PREVENT THE LIVER DEGENERATION. Fortunately it's easy to do it: *It's very advisable to substitute progressively (within some weeks, as per the instructions of the manufacturer) the mixture of loose seeds for some pellets compound food of seeds, fruits and vegetables (preferably those that already include liver protectors), because this prevents the bird from filtering and eating mostly the fatty seeds (but without insisting if the bird does not get accustomed to eating pellets because he could die for starvation within a few days).* *And, whatever the diet, it's CRUCIAL to add to the drinking water or to the food a LIPOTROPIC LIVER PROTECTOR that includes carnitine and / or choline, betaine, methionine, etc., (and it's very convenient to add a DETOX / REGENERATING LIVER PROTECTOR with thistle milk, boldo, artichoke extract).* Liver protectors are not medicine but cheap food supplements manufactured by pet bird vet laboratories that remove the fat from the liver, clean it and favor its recovery. It's essential to add them to the pet birds diet to conserve their liver. It's something that breeders and vets know, but we the owners usually don't know. It are appearing in the market compound feed for pet birds that don’t include fatty seeds and that already include several liver protectors. *But the vast majority of owners still confidently feed their birds with the typical mixture of loose seeds with little fat and other very fatty seeds... And their birds continue dying for hepatic lipidosis in a large number of cases (likely, in most cases).* Now we know that, as fatty liver disease develops from the daily food itself, it’s most likely THE FIRST CAUSE OF DEATH OF PET BIRDS, and more so as the bird ages. Webs on FLD: www.beautyofbirds.com/liverdisease.html Liver disease is a slow, on-going progressive disease where the liver tissue is replaced with fat. When the liver disease has progressed, the bird may suddenly appear ill. www.lovinghands.com/forms/Hepatic%20Lipidosis%20-%20Fatty%20Liver%20Disease.pdf One of the sadder diseases many avian vets see is that of hepatic lipidosis or fatty liver disease. It's sad in a number of ways since often the birds are very ill, life-threateningly so, or possibly having died suddenly. Often the owners have been unaware of the dangers of feeding their beloved pet the seeds, peanuts, or other fatty foods the bird obviously loves to eat. These are truly cases of "loving your bird to death". Any bird can fall victim to fatty liver disease. www.researchgate.net/publication/46105643_Treating_liver_disease_in_the_avian_patient Dietary deficiencies of lipotrophic factors such as choline, biotin, and methionine may decrease the transport of lipids from the liver. www.veterinaria.org/revistas/redvet/n111110B/111004B.pdf The clinical manifestations of hepatic diseases in ornamental birds are much more frequent than people could imagine and in many cases they are not appreciated, progress in a silent way and when they are evident, vet action may arrive late. Most any avian symptomatology should be considered as if it was a pathology that could be serious, and not allow the disease to develop because then it will probably be too late. We must closely investigate the symptoms, take preventive measures that don’t harm (such as giving liver and intestinal protectors according to the leaflet) ask for advice from vets, breeders, etc. and procure the most appropriate treatment RAPIDLY, but without rushing in the treatment or with the doses in such small animals. If the days go by and the bird doesn’t improve, it's necessary to continue investigating and, if necessary, change the medication in an informed and contrasted manner. Doing nothing or stopping research usually ends up with the bird dead, but acting without being sure of what is done and in what dose, it likely ends the same way. It's necessary to obtain and confirm the sufficient vet experience and have the serenity to determine in each case whether it's convenient to hasten to do and / or administer what medicine and in what dose, or if it’s better not to do and let the situation evolve without medicating for the time being, or according to the medication that has already been administered. A limp in a bird is not always an injury caused by a blow, but the symptom of a disease of some organ (usually the liver or an intestinal disease) that needs to be discovered and treated ASAP. When in doubt, change diet to one with the lowest fat possible (only birdseed, or with other low-fat seeds such as millet, chia, fresh fruits and vegetables) and administer lipotropic and regenerating liver protectors in curative doses immediately... although nothing could foresee a fatal outcome. There are also food supplements protectors of the intestinal mucosa and stimulants of the immune system. In doses according to the leaflets do not cause damage, it will surely save the life of your bird (if it's not too late), and will keep them with a basic wellness.
have four budgies and all of them can do tricks. Training them as non-solitary birds works perfectly fine. And even if this wouldn't work I'd rather just watch some happy budgies enjoy their social lifes than seperating one to them to fulfill my dreams of having a trained budgie. Anyone who keeps pets should not be so self-centred but put the well-being of their pet(s) first.
There's a lot of things you can do to warm them up. Make sure they're up high and in a well lit room. Being close to the ground stresses them out. Also, to get them used to you slowly place your hand at the bottom of the cage for a like 15 minutes at a time for a few days or so, until they get used to you. Eventually he/she will start eating out of your hand and be accustomed to your new home. Then is when it's easier to teach them to speak. Covering the cage and repeating phrases for a while.
Dieter is clearly The New Avian Messiah ... he speaks words of wisdom that the world needs to hear. Honestly, this Little Guy cracks me up ... he's sooooo weird!
To all you people who are hating on this guy for only having one budgie, it's perfectly fine! I mean seriously people, I know that they prefer to be kept with at least another budgie, but your bird will be fine as long as you give it plenty of love and attention. I personally love Dieter, and this video (along with every other one of him) was adorable. Haters these days.
Budgies are fine on their own as long as they have toys to keep them occupied, and attention for at least a few hours a day. They would obviously prefer the companionship of another budgie, but introducing a new budgie to an established territory can be dangerous for the new budgie. If you want a budgie as a companion, make sure you have the time for it. If you want a budgie in a cage, fork out for a bigger cage and buy a pair so they can keep each other company. Either way, toys are essential.
Soooo funny, I laughed out loud. Incredible such a tiny little bird has such incredible voice box. I think second only to humans. He whistles and natters away obviously he is totally engrossed with his playtoy.
Budgies are actually not lonely when they're on their own as long as you spend a lot of time with them and give them a lot of entertainment and things to do!
1. Every budgie has it's own character. Some won't pay attention to you, although you only have one. 2. I myself have 2 budgies and had these 2 since the first day and they both are pretty affectionate. They also get along with eachother pretty well 3. You should never get a mirror for your budgie, it's just messes them up 4. In some countrys it's forbidden to have a single budgie If you want a pet, that can get along with itself, get a dog. Not a budgie or any other parrot
Hehe. At parts I couldn't tell which sounds came from : - the budgy toy - the owner talking behind the camera -from the real budgie, presumably imitating the sounds of his owner
He sounds like a guy on a walkie-talkie
Yup
XD🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂
😂
LOLOLOL 00:22 when he walks around around the doll whispering "budgie budgie budgie" menacingly. Watch out that little bird is up to something:D:D
Mushroom mushroom!
Still a better love story than Twilight
😂😂🤣🤣
😆👍
dieter looks like he's doing something inappropriate
Pretty sure he is...😳
Yeah, typical horny male! :D
Tripy1.3
If it's inappropriate, then all male budgies are inappropriate because they all do it. You, too. 😱 😏 😉😉😉
The green one is very talkative, I love the green one.

I laughed so hard my sides hurt! That's one horny bird!!
how often do you need to clean your carpet?
Daily. We clean our carpet once-twice a day
I don’t own the video, but I’m a budgie owner so, yeah.
He needs a partner, it's not good to keep just one. They get really lonely.

That's a stuffed toy that looks like a dead parakeet, and the live one is getting frisky with it, wtf :(
Dom Paul most birds are necrophiles so it wouldn't be too unordinary
Well, I certainly didn't expect budgie porn with pillow talk. XD
This is so sad :-(
The little guy needs a partner..
He's trying to wake this stuffed bird up. I don't blame him he wants some real action. Lil sweetie needs his female bird.
My budgie used to do this so I got him a gf and she ended up not liking him and would beat him up ☹️

Awww that budgie is sooooooo cute and alike him i too thought at the first place that it is a real budgue on the floor😜
For heavens sake my friend. Wake up will ya. This is so sweet.

They are very loyal, give him a buddy, he will still love you so much, and he won't be alone anymore, because a human is not all that your bird needs
pretty sure this is rape..
+Richard Balls It's just a stuffed animal, so really it's closer to a lonely guy having a sex doll.
1:58 He looks like hes sitting on the ground playing with his toys :3
My budgie was trying to kill toilet papermthe other day, he says. "Im the sexy one here"
That's So Cute ❣️ It looks like the Budgie is trying to revive the toy Budgie by giving it CPR !! 😂
And at the end of the video he's like:
"... You ain't seen nuttin'"
This is why parakeets and birds entertain me. They are fun to watch. :)
Soooooooooo cute!

*Without liver protectors, it's almost certain that your bird will die early and in many cases you won’t be able to determine its real cause.*
Hepatic lipidosis it's not only deadly by itself when the visible symptoms begin (sometimes even it does not warn at all until few moments before the death).
Fortunately it's easy to do it: *It's very advisable to substitute progressively (within some weeks, as per the instructions of the manufacturer) the mixture of loose seeds for some pellets compound food of seeds, fruits and vegetables (preferably those that already include liver protectors), because this prevents the bird from filtering and eating mostly the fatty seeds (but without insisting if the bird does not get accustomed to eating pellets because he could die for starvation within a few days).*
*And, whatever the diet, it's CRUCIAL to add to the drinking water or to the food a LIPOTROPIC LIVER PROTECTOR that includes carnitine and / or choline, betaine, methionine, etc., (and it's very convenient to add a DETOX / REGENERATING LIVER PROTECTOR with thistle milk, boldo, artichoke extract).*
Liver protectors are not medicine but cheap food supplements manufactured by pet bird vet laboratories that remove the fat from the liver, clean it and favor its recovery.

Liver disease is a slow, on-going progressive disease where the liver tissue is replaced with fat.
Interesting info, thanks.
Bless him, made me laugh until I couldn't breathe.
yes :D
The parrot plays very well, it is a very cute parrot than the toys
*That's Magnificent*
have four budgies and all of them can do tricks.
Aww your budgie is so playful and cute!
Dirty dirty dirty bird no no nooooo 😂😂😂
There's a lot of things you can do to warm them up. Make sure they're up high and in a well lit room. Being close to the ground stresses them out. Also, to get them used to you slowly place your hand at the bottom of the cage for a like 15 minutes at a time for a few days or so, until they get used to you. Eventually he/she will start eating out of your hand and be accustomed to your new home.
Then is when it's easier to teach them to speak. Covering the cage and repeating phrases for a while.
This is one of the funniest things I have ever seen! "Dieter. Dieter!", you are funny and cute. But I am so glad that other budgie was fake.
What a lovely little bird. My budgie Minky does the farting noise too...
one more lonely single bird! PLEASE GIVE THOSE LONELY ANIMALS A REAL PARTNER OF THEIR OWN SPECIES!
This is too darn cute!! (This is Splash from talkbudgies)
How cute is that! Great video.
0:10 sounded like it said "you little b*tch"
thank you for your comment, it made me laught nearly 10 minutes continously ;D
Der arme Welli! Der ist ja völlig verhaltensgestört durch die Einzelhaltung!
Ez aztán gondoskodik a társáróll és még is magyarázza a helyzetet.Nagyon aranyos.🤣🤣🤣
he is so cute!!! also i loved his toy too :D
Like a lonely guy, playing with a sex-doll
Budgies are fine on their own as long as they have toys to keep them occupied, and attention for at least a few hours a day. They would obviously prefer the companionship of another budgie, but introducing a new budgie to an established territory can be dangerous for the new budgie. If you want a budgie as a companion, make sure you have the time for it. If you want a budgie in a cage, fork out for a bigger cage and buy a pair so they can keep each other company. Either way, toys are essential.
loool,so creepy but funnyXD the budgie muttering to itself while climbing over this "dead bird" & rubbing his butt in the carpet hahaha
Cute! He reminds me of my sister's old budgie, Spicy before he died :(
"I AM CHORNILIO! I NEED TEEPEE FOR MY BUNGHOLE!"
OMG!! That was GREAT!! I don't think I've ever laughed that hard over a Keet!! Dieter is awesome!!!
Soooo funny, I laughed out loud. Incredible such a tiny little bird has such incredible voice box. I think second only to humans. He whistles and natters away obviously he is totally engrossed with his playtoy.
And boom goes the dynamite
You should have taught your bird to say, "Who's your Daddy!"
FANTASTIC - thanks for sharing this.
I love this little guy. I have 2 budgies.
They also get along with eachother pretty well
3. You should never get a mirror for your budgie, it's just messes them up
4. In some countrys it's forbidden to have a single budgie
If you want a pet, that can get along with itself, get a dog. Not a budgie or any other parrot
budgies ALWAYS need atleast one companion. Humans cannot replace another budgie
Hehe. At parts I couldn't tell which sounds came from :
- the budgy toy
- the owner talking behind the camera
-from the real budgie, presumably imitating the sounds of his owner
This guy is so funny! can't get enough of budgies
budgies are smart and very sociable I had one who was very smart
This bird is alone. He needs a real partner. Poor budgie...
OMG why is he so cute? I like the shaking thing he does... so cute!!!!
What sweet little guy he was...
