Here's my running motto that I came up with: "Be consistent, express gratitude, and enjoy every mile!" I love this because it applies universally to running and life.
Stumbled on this channel when Ben made that 5k WR pace video and now this channel is becoming one of my favourite. Excited to see the journey Mary and Ben! Trust the process, let's go! 💪🏿🤜🏿
I’ve not long got back I to running after building up fitness and stamina in the past and then letting it slide before stopping. “Find the joy” sums up perfectly what makes this time different. I always thought the joy before was distance, or Strava kudos, or pace. But this time I’ve found the joy is just being outside, heart beating, stopping and taking pics if I want, testing myself sometimes for the fun of it and being as fast or slow or long or short as I like. I’m still finding the joy everyday, but he joy I have found so far has meant the thing I concentrated on before have naturally improved as a side effect of enjoying running again. Find The Joy also reminds me of Born to Run
Another great video. Really need to start doing intervals again and try to go sub 20 for 5k now all my longer races have been postponed till the end of the year. Keep up the good work guys😀
Brilliant video again. So much quality info in every episode . I hope you carry on highlighting Mary's sessions so we can all take some of these sessions into our own training. I take it if I am aiming for a 25m 5k I can just swap her 4km per minute for my 5min per km?
Saw this interval session on your Instagram story last night so tried it this afternoon, brutal but good fun! Thanks for the inspiration and all the help you give out!
Hackney got postponed today. I’m still going to follow the 12 week half marathon plan like last year and do it solo in May. New date is the 26th Sept, though I’m running the Richmond half on the 12th as well! 😂..hope the body holds up!
Ha ha yeah that’s pretty much my hope every day. I move out of bed and think “please don’t hurt” 😂 you’ll be good dude. Plenty of good time to build lovely consistency 🤟🏼
I don‘t really like interval, I always feel like I do them wrong. And now in Spring until Autumn I am really allergic to every kind of pollen so I can not really breath through my nose and it makes me feel horrible.😂

A great motto indeed, Chad. Totally bang on 👌🏼
Mary always has shining smile. Great job, Keep it up!

Awesome, Ollie 😊 absolutely right, that’s all the joyful stuff right there and what keeps me coming back like a junkie jonesing for my run fix 😂😊
Another great video.

Thanks James. Yes it’s that frustrating hallowed barrier isn’t it! Sub 20. Consistency is key for sure 💪🏻😊
Nice work Ben & Mary.... and following you both on Strava.... (always nice to kudos ones that inspire)
Thanks buddy. I really appreciate the kind words 😊👍🏻
Thank you guys for all the hard work you do to add value! Btw my 16 year old son has joined the running journey using your 41 week plan.
Ahh thanks Ira, that’s so kind of you to say 😊 that’s exciting that your son’s on his own journey now too! Awesome 👏🏼
Another brilliant video! Plenty of learning as usual. You guys rocks! Thanks for sharing your joy and passion :-)
Ahh wow that’s so cool of you to say. And thanks so much. It’s why we do what we do. To spread the joy and learning 😊👍🏻
Got a lot out of this one, thanks Ben
Nice! I’m glad it was of use, Steven. Always happy to help 😊
Gonna try this interval on the next session, thanks !!
Enjoy it. It’s a good one for starting the process of waking up speed 💪🏻
Nothing better than a good 5k TT to feel smoother the week after 😬
That’s very true. Just wake up that dormant speed 💪🏻
Value value value!Thank you.
Cheers Tony! 😊
Another cracking video👍
Your channel spreads the joy
Ha ha thanks buddy. That’s really kind 😊
Fantastic video Ben - quality content. Keep up the great work mate!
Thanks Richard. Much appreciated as always 😊👍🏻
My joy is watching your channel. Awesome stuff. Thanks. Oh, and thanks for giving me permission not to do speed work. Cheers.

Exactly that, Dave. The session is totally adaptable for all paces. Get yourself on it! And thanks 😊
I'll have to try this one in the fall when I start to incorporate speed into my sessions. I still have a lot of aerobic to build
Great stuff. And we’ll done for being sensible about it. Sounds weird to say but that’s definitely the path to improvement. Gradual focussed build 👍🏻😊
Saw this interval session on your Instagram story last night so tried it this afternoon, brutal but good fun! Thanks for the inspiration and all the help you give out!
Awesome! Cheers Steve. We’ll keep putting them out there so you guys can keep smashing it 🤟🏼😊
Hi Mary and Ben. Can I assume you are setting up this pyramid workout on your watch...where the watch gives you the cues to run and not run?
What's a good app to use to track the distance and speed of your intervals?? Thanks so much for the videos and useful tips!
I’m not actually sure I’m afraid? Maybe Strava? I use my watch 😳😊

0 dislike!!! That’s impressive and I can understand why 👍🙂
I love running 😉
Me too! 😊

Well that’s all part of specificity so well done for recognising it. If you lose the joy then there’s no real point. Keep smiling 😊
👊💥
🤟🏼
I thought this was supposed to be about Mary but it seems like it's all about you.
Good title for my first book. Thanks 👍🏻😊
first!
Woop woop 🙌🏼
